My videos are made for viewers to experience it to solve their problems .One major problem these days have been digestive disorders, affecting human system.
Coriander aka Dhaniya powder :This podi/powder help in soothing the system and stomach specially after on eats outside food which can be spicy /oily at times. This leads to many problems in the stomach and you might experience pain or acid reflux. do try this powder /podi recipe for solving such issues.
Groundnut powder /podi: Peanut rice recipe with step by step pics. Peanut rice is a tasty South Indian rice variety made with roasted peanut powder, lentils and spices. this groundnut rice is also called as verkadalai sadam and is made in South Indian homes. A vegan recipe.While making peanut rice a powder of roasted peanut powder is prepared with some spices. This powder is then added to cooked rice.
I got the opportunity to use GPC Hing powder for these recipes. this hing powder is strong, great in fragnance and adds special value to your kitchen. Do try using this powder in your regular cooking.

GPC Asafoetida - 4 to 5 crystal

Cumin Seeds - 1 spoon
Curry Leaves 1 handful
Salt - 1 tsp
Tamarind - big gooseberry size

Unsalted Roasted Peanut - 200 gms
Garlic - 4 nos (Chopped)
Curry Leaves 1 handful
GPC Asafoetida - 4 crystals
Coriander Seeds - 2 tbsp
Dry Chilli - 4 to 5 nos
Coconut - 1/4 (Sliced)
Salt - 1 tsp
Tamarind - big gooseberry size

First I was surprised when you introduced the recipe as Dhaniya podi. Traditionally it used to be called Kothamallivirai podi. I was glad you mentioned it later. I still relish this rice with fried Karuvadam as side dish, bringing memories of my late mother

I don't know how many times I watched and how many batches I made.Kudos to you. Remembered of my school days, dinner would mostly be sadham and one of these podis/manathakkali varral or milagu jeeraga podi or a freshly made simple kuzhambu with cut mango pickle, a little.
Super. We prepare Anghaya podi full of medical items good for stomach mainly with neem flowers manathakkali vatthal sundakai vatthal etc. Normally after delivery we give this powder with hot rice ghee. It's very very good for health

Hello ma ..yummy..y is it that no house is doing these podis now..when we were small we used to have all these in the evenings ..these days ..children don't have rice ..they all prefer tiffens...with heavy curries r sabjis as side dish ..oru podi Sadam..koncham rasa Sadam...n moor Sadam in the evening for dinner was healthy food with a chutta appallam to go with it ...I think our generation is far more better than the present generation health wise ..

verkadalai podi is a big hit in my house mami. Kids are really enjoying it. They want me to make it again and again. They even have it with idli and dosa.
My mother would make some of these podis.Every day for lunch she would mix cooked rice, ghee and podi , make lemon size urundai and start her lunch with oru urundai podi sadam. That is, podi sadam would precede sambhar sadam. Thanks for bringing back the memory of podi sadam.
