    Great video John! I'd like to ride both sides of the Pacific on a Onewheel sometime, but for now I'm restricted to the south western corner. Good to see some outback Onewheeling too.

    How are you flying with that battery? it should be over the 160w limit that most airlines allow.

    • @JohnDDyer

      I took off the batter and carried it on then checked the board, I show how I did it on my australia video

  • @uberpooner

    Did you have any troubles in the airport? How did you get it on, carry/check ?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 4 lety

      I just remove the battery and carry it on with the paperwork and check the board with no battery. I have never had any issues doing it that way.

    Great video! Looks like a ton of fun. Assuming this was the Plus model since it went by plane?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks! Yea that’s the main reason I bought the plus and not an xr ( well and the cost too). I love traveling with the onewheel it’s the best!!

    Best travelling *legal* onewheel option. Think I'll go for the flight fins whisper though

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 5 lety

      Yea that looks good too for sure. I will say no one has ever asked in any of my travels what the wh rating of any of my batteries is...

  • @wowawewah
    @wowawewah Před 4 lety

    Is it legal to ride it?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 4 lety

      in most places yes but you will have to check with your local govt

    Def gonna get that tire, thanks for the review! Is the white painted Hoosier logo on both sides of the tire?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 4 lety

      yea man its awesome if you do offroading! the white is on both sides. Just keep in mind the treaded will likely impact your range, I havent done a back to back but someone else might have done it.

      @@JohnDDyer Rad, thanks! Does it perform well for city/street riding as well compared to the Vega?

  • @canadainboy24-graeme91

    Sweet cant wait to watch this did u see that they came out with a one wheel pint I was thinking about buying one soon?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 5 lety +2

      yea man sure did, my wife wants to try it out! hopefully we can get our hands on one soon, I wasnt a fan of giving future motion the full amount without knowing when they would ship them so we are in the waiting game now.

    Would you happen to have links to those tire reviews by Jeff and slydog?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 5 lety

      They werent vids, Stroh mentioned it to me on insta and Jeff has a really good post on the onewheel owners facebook group, search 'best tire' and you should find his review!

    • @johnlabernik4599
      @johnlabernik4599 Před 5 lety

      John D Dyer found it in the onewheel riders group, thanks! What have you used and what are you currently using?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 5 lety

      I have only had the Vega and the Hoosier treaded. But I will say after riding the pint and really liking the nimble little tire my next tire on the plus might be the whisper

  • @MrFabulousPlays19
    @MrFabulousPlays19 Před 4 lety

    Did you do the badger waterproof kit for the rain riding? Or just stock water resistance good enough for rain?

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 4 lety

      No i didn’t and I probably would in the future. These boards seem to have a wife range of water ability. I have heard the pint is better than the plus or xr but haven’t seen anything definitive

    • @MrFabulousPlays19
      @MrFabulousPlays19 Před 4 lety

      John D Dyer lol sorry I’m afraid I can’t fully decipher what you were trying to say. Could you repeat that?

  • @mcbotha9007
    @mcbotha9007 Před 5 lety

    Hey John do you have the Ego 5ah attached to that via VnR? Looking at getting it but worried that the 5ah will be too heavy, so looking at the 2.5ah instead. Any advice will be appreciated

    • @JohnDDyer
      @JohnDDyer  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey Mc, yea I have the 2.5 ah attached parallel ( since my board was out of warranty). The 2.5 doesn’t feel too bad and is a great place to start. I have since tried out the 7.5 ( similar in size to the 5) and it is a lot bigger and you notice it more. Buuuut I will say that range is amazing!

      hey its an amazing country, i am sure there is a bunch of amazing things where you are! everything always looks better somewhere else unfortunatly. I do love that the onewheel helps me explore the town I live in, now I take videos there (my small town in SC) and a bunch of people say how awesome it looks in the videos lol.
