The most frustrating thing in my life that has taken away my friends, ability to work, haven't dated in 10 years, only talk to therapists, despite knowing what I'd want to do, but not being able to avoid the illogical fears that often cause physical symptoms and insomnia... As a person with social anxiety this video really hit deep. Its funny cause while watching this my neighbour who also has social anxiety stopped by and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. So then I went and rented a projector in a big field and my entire town that also suffers from social anxiety watched it and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful. I have really bad social anxiety, ill start stuttering for no reason. What i have found to help is just dont look at the person your talking to. I always feel really weird when i look someone in the eye, it throws me off and makes me nervous, so if i dont look at them i can speak normally. I hate feeling like all the attention is on me, so if i dont look them in the eyes i feel like less attention is on me, because i cant see them paying attention to me.
So when I do talk to people it looks like I'm not listening because my eyes are wondering looking at something else, but I am listening. I just hate eye contact lol
@@UnicornGuy96 A trick i learned was Look at their forehead It works no-one call tell you are looking at their forehead to them it just looks like you're making normal eye contact. Hopefully it doesn't throw you off as much.
