Well this does highlight you need to be careful out there with social media and not put too much out. ID theft is really really bad. Also guys, sometimes it’s not your fault because of data leaks and you need to be so careful these days with emails and bank stuff. Having a separate email for shopping, banking and social media is important. Make sure that it’s a different alias than the one you log in. It’s just an extra step. Make sure your passwords are long and random and have numbers and special characters in them. If you’re info get leaked or you’re at risk of ID theft or you’re a victim of ID theft, please check your credit files from the major credit brokers. Keep checking them. It’s always good to check them monthly regardless. There are protective markers you can purchase or ask to be put on your credit file to make ID theft and ID fraud a lot harder. I recommend this when you are a victim of ID theft or at risk of becoming one.
