- This week, Ethan, Jack, and Edwin set to work getting our abandoned super cheap Porsche 924 Supercharged, which had up until recently been sitting abandoned in a field for at least 20 years. Will we be making a mistake but modifying the poor 924 before working on any of the other issues, or will it make cool boost noises without an issue?

After the GTI and now this rebuild I am loving this direction of car throttle. Keep finding old bangers and bring them back to life.
While it was a treat to see Eth hanging out with Alex and Miles the Skoda, it's great to see CT going from Strength to Strength. Hopefully we get an AutoAlex/CT collab sometime soon.

Oh wow, this Ciprian guy who makes the supercharger kit is from my hometown, Arad Romania :O Didn't realise I had such a talented Porsche enthusiast in my back yard.
you must be younger, like 10-15 years ago he had the bright red 924 with the wide body kit, it was unmistakable around town. Morghen on 4tuning forums

Hey guys! Congratulations on getting the supercharger on!!! I live in California and have the same kit from Ciprian that I fit last weekend. Can you share the part number/link to the fan you used?
How does the kit work with the factory cis fuel and ignition systems? I have a rebuilt Mercedes 560sel with the cis fuel system and I want to supercharge it one day , but there seems to be almost zero information on low boost and retaining the cis and the timing under boost. I’m not doing stand-alone as I’m in California so I need stealth and it to be easily removable for emissions

It would be really cool if you guys would fully restore this car and squeeze more power out of that engine :)
For the block holes that needed retapping, you can use a bore brush (gunsmithing) on a drill with some PB to super clean them pre-thread tapping/cleaning. But if they so bad that all the original threads have deteriorated you gotta bore and helicoil it.

The channel has got better since Alex left in my opinion, feel like Edwin has been here for years, keep up the amazing content lads

Rumour has it Ethan is secretly a master mechanic. Love child of Scotty Kilmer and Ed China. Raised in a scrap yard and forced to eat spanners and spark plugs. Apparently, 20th Century Fox based the character B.A. Baracus closely on Ethan's build, skin tone and technical skills

I feel a drag race coming on between this 924 and a certain supercharged z3 that we all know of. 😉
😂 probably not a good idea the z3 will have way more bhp and torque as standard before it was supercharged. Remember the Porsche Is 110 standard so I guess it may be 170 supercharged
@@krs4976although this Porsche made 70hp on the Dyno 😂do probably gonna get the original figure of 110 after the supercharger
@@Afraz_9n3 😁 I am being a little optimistic that the new injectors,serviceable items and tune will get it close to it's original 110 + whatever the supercharger can do. But you are more than likely right.
