cool thing is my sister pulled the sword out about 15-18 years ago when she was 10 i believe. it wasn't even with any disney guests. she walked up and pulled it. immediately disney cast members came and there was a ceremony and the best part... they gave my sister a medal for her to keep. it was a purple ribbon and bronze medal which weighed a pound or two. it was the coolest thing ever and she still has it today. i suggest have all your children always pull the sword, u never know u might be the chosen one and best part, u get a medal if they still give it.

I dont think you realize how blades actually cut they have to actually have a sliding or cutting motion to cut you can grip a blade bare handed without cutting your self.

No matter how sharp a blade is it still need forced to be applied to cut. You could even try it yourself and press your thumb on the blade of a kitchen knife and as long as you don't slide you won't cut yourself. ( caution be safe don't be stupid and this is not me telling uou to do something dangerous).
back when they had paper fastpasses when i was a kid there was no castmembers around but someone off away in view of it who would be watching the kids going up and trying. eventually they would let someone get it up and a castmember would come up and give you a free fastpass to peter pan
