"Oh, that's terrible"
"Thank you, my boy,"
She doesn't skip a beat!
Yeah
🤣
😂

I think the best thing about Madam Mim is that she's one of the few Disney villains that doesn't want to rule the world or her home land. She just wants to cause trouble and bring misery to others without doing some world conquering scheme.
Mega Crash The Hedgehog it’s the little things
🤣
The same does Maleficent.
....... Still bad......
Heh, and Cruella De Vil just want her dalmatian fur coat
Eh sometimes we just need a bad guy who just wants to do bad cause it’s fun :P
I love how nonchalantly she says "I'm afraid I'll have to destroy you."
*word up*
IT'S FUNNY
She's so underrated.
Bluebelle9289 Agreed.
Emily L IKR
like this is just an average Sunday morning for her.
🤣🤣🤣
"did you know that i could make myself uglier yet?"
"well that would be some trick!"
You want a bet? BOO!!!
You see?! I win I win!!
Yup
@@Hino_Has_Traumaaren’t I hideous boy? Perfectly revolting?
Yes m'am.
You can tell that the actress who played Mim had a lot of fun! ^^
Everyone who worx on a Disney film act like that it's the greatest dream come true. Like they never have to work again
Martha Wentworth, who also plays Nanny from 101 Dalmatians & Granny Squirrel in The Sword in The Stone
Martha is so cute.
As of now this has 444 likes instead of 666
@@TreasuredHarteI’ve heard that’s very stressful to work for Disney and Disney’s children are having a hard life because of how demanding the world is.
I bet her and the Mad hatter would be great friends
Dino Sandwich what about the Cheshire cat
Cheshire Cat is more of a creeper, the mad Hatter is known for being crazy.
Idk, the Hatter is mad, but in a more harmless way. Any trouble he causes is usually a product of mad innocence. Mim, however, seems to be very aware of the misery she's causing and relishes in it.
Friends? I bet they're married!
murderous
Arthur, honey, when a clearly crazy magic woman asks you who's the most powerful wizard, YOU TELL HER IT'S HER.
"Well, Merlin's magic is always....useful."
WOW, COLD
I'd say, he's the most powerful wizard, but she's the most powerful witch, if I were Arthur
arthur is extremely stupid in this movie
@@bonniestar4707 sure
I'd make her happy by saying she is great. And I'd ask her to turn me back into a human and her to become beautiful so I can have sex with her.
*Mim:* Now, whaddya think, boy? Who's the greatest?
*Me:* I think you're absolutely wonderful!
"if someone asks if you are a god you say YES"
I like her. She is pretty fast thinking and funny. I consider her one of the best villains in Disney, one of my favorites.
but is she truly a villain? or is the real villain Wort's lack of confidence?
Too bad she's not in Kingdom Hearts. Imagine that.
She's one of my favorite Disney villain too, alongside Ursula.
Yeah,it would've been cool if she was in more of the movie.
jacqueline rodriguez agree
"that would be some trick...I mean uh..." I love how polite Arthur is
Yep
“Want to bet? BOO!” 🐷
He even tries to assure Mim that she is sufficiently ugly later in the song because he knows she likes that haha
This is another one of those villains that no matter how hard you try you just can't hate.
Lily Moon Ain't that the truth.
Disney's great at making those kinds of villains! And even if you _do_ end up hating them, you also end up _loving_ to hate them!
CJCroen1393 Exactly.
So true
@@CJCroen1393 I dont think thats the case for disney always. There is a lot of villains that you cant like. Madam Mim is different, you are actually rooting for her too, or at least to not die, its entirely different than Scar or Cruella for example.
Villians don't get guests often, don't they ? No wonder they often sing during an encounter
Joe Walker oh wow I never thought of it that way!
Think about Madam Mim, she lives in the middle of a forest all by herself with no one else, not even a pet, for all those years. It is only natural that she feels desperately lonely, so when someone comes in, she sings out of pure joy.
Oh yeahahaha 😂😂
Like Ursula did.
I love her and her song. Just the absolute joy when she goes "I'm an ugly old CREEP!" XD
A.M. when online dating goes wrong.
MAD-MAD-MAD-MAD...MADAM MIM!@@marisafaith8664
This was way before Radiohead....
🎵But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo
What the Hell am I doing here
I don't belong here....🎵
I love how Madame Mim totally embraces the way she looks. She's like "I can be beautiful, lovely and fair" like she's saying she COULD fit in with what society wants her to look like, but then she's like nope, this is how I look and I LOVE IT!
+Pritza I'M AN UGLY OLD CREEP!!
Pritza she has body confidence
Why are you all reading it like this? Her whole thing is having a perverted moral axis, "evil be thou my good" and all that. Hence she would rather be ugly as ugliness has always been a sign of wickedness in human history. She's still playing by society's rules, she just has different goals in the game
“How society wants her to look”
Shes a witch. Burn first, look after
@Casper Vestergaard I hate how people forget that, she literally wishes death and serious illness on others and you have what, SJW's saying "you go girl" She's the bride of Satan, draw the line somewhere people.
I find this madwoman to be strangely charming.
Joshua Bassett HOLY FRIG YOU TOO?!?!
I actually had the hots for her younger form back when i was kid. And i was maybe 6 years old. Nowadays i have absolutely no idea why, but i thought she was absolutely gorgeous. I had some really odd taste back then... i especially liked that dance. Like there was some odd seductiveness in it. Like back then i tought it was almost at par with esmeralda or eris. ... i really didn’t have too high standards... 😂
Yes
@@henkkahenrik4183 toonphilia
Henkka Henrik I think most people have the hots for her younger form, it’s not odd taste. Odd taste is having the hots for her regular form, which I do. What can I say, she’s got a really thicc booty!
"I'm an ugly old CREEP"
I think she looks fine.
I love how much she acknowledge she's crazy XD
“I’M AN UGLY 👏 OLD 👏 CREEP” - me, turning 35 this month.
I love how she nonchalantly says: "I'm afraid i'll have to destroy you" 😂😂
Lol, she says it as easily as if she was saying "The only thing we have for breakfast is eggs."
There needs to be a short clip of "I'm afraid I'll have to destroy you" for forum responses.
The part where she changes into a “beautiful” lady is way scarier then I remember it as a kid. “La la la la. La la la la.” *shudders*
Saw this as a kid, that's when I knew this woman was my spirit animal.
Sounds like someone's sick.
How lovely!
We The People when granny hears you’re sick and she just recently bought Campbell’s in bulk.
A good moment from an underrated movie.
I relate so much to this woman for a weird reason.
+PoundToundHound it would be weirder if u were a man admitting to it ...
+PoundToundHound omg me too
the best of us do
PoundToundHound If you’ve read the book you wouldn’t be saying that. In the book she eats the child by keeping him in a cage for several days. When it does come time she undresses him and prepares to smash a brick across his head before merlyn comes.
She tried to kill someone because someone she envied was fond of him!
Mim represents the archetype of a person who is bitter and resentful, seeking only to make others as miserable as they are. These people try to bend reality to their whim through delusion. Hence, she can fool herself into believing that she can become big and powerful. Unfortunately, it is true that malevolent and narcissistic people can be this destructive.
Mim recognises Arthur's potential and, unlike Merlin, wants to completely quash it. 🗡️
He came bothering her though and she could become big and powerful, she was a powerful witch.
Mad Madam Mim would have been a Quidditch pro.
😂 hahahahah!! Loved this!
Mad Madam Mim is seriously crazy, that's why I love her ^_^
This was probably one of the best of the older disney movies
1963
One of Disney's most *Classic* characters
plot twist: her youthful beautiful form is actually her original form, she is ugly and old entirely by choice 😁
.... Why does that make sense?
Interesting but honestly, I find her uglier when she's in her " beautiful form "
I find delight in the gruesome and GRIM
Ohhh that's terrible!
that part always cracked me up lols.
Same here, I also realized, I'm a LOT like Mim XD
“Sounds like someone’s sick. How lovely! I DO hope it’s serious. Something dreeeaaadddful!” 😂
Mad Madam Mim is the main reason I watch this movie. She was definitely the most memorable part of the whole film.
Want to bet? Boo! You see? I win! I win!
the way she turned beautiful was amazing
I never thought she was scary at all, I thought she was pretty cool! I think Mad Madam Mim is one of the most underrated antagonists in the Disney Franchise, even though she was on screen for about 10 minutes she definitely had the best role in the film! I'd love to see a live action version of her, I think she'd be a brilliant character to have on ABC's tv show Once Upon a Time or have a tv show of her own explaining her background and how she became Merlin's rival... but that's just me! :-)
Happy New Year!
Dreamavere I read the book and there she’s terrifying!
Evil or not, I thought she was hilarious and entertaining as all get out. XD
She is jovial until she notices he wasn't taken in by the cool factor, but rather kept in mind how the magic is used. When she knows he can't be swayed by power is when she decides he is someone she detests.
I always thought Madam Mim was awesome! Clever and mischievous :)
galexy you mention water park in mi?You mean 4bears?
Does she remind you of a alice in wonderland character
I don't think she was evil. Just completely mad. She likely would've spared him if he just played along and wasn't a party pooper. Maybe she would've tried to make him her apprentice or something, would've given him time to be rescued or sneak out when she's sleeping.
Well she is called mad Madame mim for a reason....
The kid's voice is so cute
David Nelson even though he was a cartoon😍💜
Which one? He has 3 different voices throughout the runtime
@@DAMIENDMILLS And apparently, none of them have an English accent( while everyone else does).
I'm surprised that people actually found this scene scary. I saw this as a kid and I was never scared. I used to watch this like whatever.
SirenSima we're just badasses

Is that good or bad?
2:16 "SQUEEE... ...EEEZE !"😂😂😂 I always loved this ridiculous cartoon sound effect when she push her snout lol!!
Me too! It's funny!
I love it when she's pretty, very, very small waist, long hair, pointy nose...
I'd like to think that Merlin and Mim were once classmates in some prestigious wizard academy, but while Merlin was at the head of the class, Mim was a flunkie. Needless to say, Mim took exception to this, and...yeah.
That's the voice of the Nanny from 101 Dalmatians
Indeed it is. :)
I thought I recognized it. One of the sweetest voices too.
No wonder her voice sounds so familiar.
Lol 😂
@Chris Smalls Nope. She wasn't the voice of Merryweather in *Sleeping Beauty* . Merryweather's voice was done by Barbara Luddy, who was the voice of Lady in the original *Lady and the Tramp* , the original voice of Kanga in *Winnie the Pooh* , and Mother Sexton in *Robin Hood* .
Wow, this was way back in the day when Disney didn't suck!
someone says that EVERY decade.
"Want a bet? BOO!" LOL😆
She's hilarious!
is it weird that I find this scene much, much scarier now than when I was a child?
***** Only just seeing this now, but wow. I am so sorry you had to grow up with that. I hope you are okay. No child should have a mother they fear!
They idolize her based on her not caring for appearances, nothing else. Please don't be so rude when talking about others.
Same
Kyle Even better considering she eats children (in the book)
Your reasoning behind being afraid i understand but other tho...??
i always love the crazy ones :)
Once Upon A Time has Camelot now. Please write this precious lady in somehow. She's adorable
I'm afraid I have to destroy you

This can work for lots of sht

Mynnia Ignea No, I didn't? I'm just speaking of women who try to fight their age; using skin cream, dying their hair, lying about their age... What's so wrong with poking fun at people who are ashamed of themselves? It's fake beauty. Just be yourself, being your age, proudly.
Hell, you're in the wrong here, saying that older women look ugly and disheveled if they aren't doing such things.
Brutal Heart No she didn't. She said that a woman of any age who is comfortable in her own skin is a good thing. You, on the other hand, are shaming them for being "fake" when they're just trying to take care of themselves. Who are you to complain about something totally harmless that makes others happy?
Amelia Bee How can you be comfortable in your own skin if you're coating it in aging cream? It shows obvious discomfort if they're trying to be younger than they really are. I'm not saying someone can't take care of themselves, but denial of the self is pretty unhealthy.
Brutal Heart ك

My younger sister, when she was 3 years old, would sing the Madam Mim song from the part of her being beautiful to the end XD SO hilarious as she would pull on her hair hard!!! AND I would say "WHY you little DOUBLE 'U' instead of "Devil You"! LOL! LOVE classic Disney movies.
She ought to make a cosplay of "Beautiful Mim" for any upcoming Comic-Cons and other Cons of the sort.
Maybe...but this was 21 years ago ;)
“Annddd he must see something good in you”
Well I suppose so ?
“YES and in my book THATS BAD! *SLAMS WINDOWS SHUT* So my boy I’m afraid I’m gonna have to destroy you!”
guys i cant even express how much this looks like my art teacher its so funny

To wither a flower

My favorite moment of the movie! Madam Mim rocks. I was never scared by her even as a kid, I figured she'd lose in the end as Disney villains always do and sat back and enjoyed her antics. And this was my favorite song in the movie. I HATE SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!! I HATE HORRIBLE, WHOLESOME SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE, HATE, HATE, HAAAAAATE...
Yeah, Madam Mim got some real Swag! I wish she was my Grandma :3
She did have a good musical number about herself, and of course, she failed to kill Arthur, and at the time when Merlin saved him just in time.
Is it bad if she's my role model?
not at all! I think she's pretty funny. This scene always cracks me up. one of my favorite scenes in the movie.
It's admirable. Everyone needs a role model.
She's my role-play model in D&D. My white mage/unlettered arcanist is like a combination of Mim and Mary Poppins, so I guess Missy from Doctor Who. A would-be witch, trained in the healing arts, yearning for something a touch more sinister. With the voice of Mrs. Doubtfire. "HELP IS ON THE WAY, DEARIE!"
SpikeLanta
Yes it is, considering she cheats (a lot) is deranged, evil, cruel, vicious, and a lot of other synonyms for bad. So yes, do not take after her in real life.
Absolutely not.
The Sword in the Stone is one of Disney's most unrated films. Martha Wentworth (Madam Mim) also did the voice of the nanny in 101 Dalmations
FUCK YES IT,S WHY I GOT INTO MAGIC
now i remember why this movie scared me as an infant
me too so scared the SHIT out of me as a child.
SAME
Omg how the hell did this scare anyone
I know right? This scene is a weird mixture of playfull and disturbing!
She loves have a fun. She plays all the time.
I like how Arthur said "D-destroy me?".
How is she a villain?
She is funny adorable and she has the power to make herself beautiful yet she chooses to stay ugly! That’s confidence!
This used to scare the shit out of me
In the DVD nowadays, they cut the following:-
"I hope it's serious! Something dreeeadful!"
Only noticed that last time I watched it.
Hmmm maybe Disney feel they would (now a days) get in trouble for leaving it in... Probably cuz it's serious? And parents would complain... Not sure why though... This population can't take anything like they used to be able to... Stories were scary to deter children from doing wrong... This is a protected generation, a cause of the lack of respect these days.
+Selene Jones im surprised no one's sue'd this movie yet.. im sure someone out there will be offended by a cartoon
They cut it from the blu-ray too. Poppycock if you ask me.
I was actually just thinking that these days that would be considered, inappropriate or whatever, I think it's funny as hell.
One of the most underrated disney movies.
it's my favourite disney movie
She’s kinda iconic ngl
Me: Who is this Mim people are talking about and why do artists like drawing her so much?
Me finding this video: HOLY SHIT SHES JAW DROPPING
You're Goddamn right, dood. ❤
i love it when she screams, "mad mad mad mad madam mim!"
Best scene in the whole movie!
"I'm afraid I'll have to destroy you." Mim is such a psycho!! lol
I love it! I think she is awesome!
madame mim rocks
I still really love how she doesn't try to hide who she really is with beauty, she'd rather be known as she is rather than trick someone
Underrated Disney movie, and underrated Disney villain!
Marsh The Mime Very much so.
Madam Mim would make a great villain for OUAT
Oh my gosh, yes! I wish I could see OUAT Maleficent and Mim as roomates.
I was disappointed when she wasn’t
She's the second funniest think in this movie
First is arcameties laughing at the plane
probably my favourite scene from my favourite disney
i just love her craziness!!! and how she is very happy and confident with herself!
2:02 Hilarious!
2:18 the clip that made young boys curious about women. 😆
I can attest to that
I think Madam Mim and King Candy wood make a lovely couple
Don't encourage them xD
+Queenofawesome25 IKR
...wow. I never thought about that pairing! It actually fits!
JaDangerz yes
+JaDangerz *would not wood
As far as I'm concerned, only Frollo is as terrifying as the Mad Madam Mim in all of Disney's villain roster.
I'd rather face Jafar, Scar, Hades and an army of Huns than deal with someone *that* crazy wanting to do me in.
i used to love this omg!!! who else cried at the squirrel bit when he had to leave her :(
I seriously believe Madam Mim can beat contemporary villains, like Sukuna and Muzan Kibutsuji.
On this very night, ten years ago, along this same stretch of road in a dense fog just like this, I saw the worst accident I ever seen. There was this sound, like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building. And when they finally pulled the driver's body from the twisted, burning wreck, it looked like... 2:03!
Priceless n Worthless.. what's the difference?! N Why is How come?! Ffff that
Me when I first wake up 2:04 vs me when i put my makeup on 2:26 😆
Too bad Madame Mim didn't have enough screentime.
Her : “Aren’t I ugly? Absolutely revolting?”
Me: it’s not like you weren’t before
“Oh, Bat Gizzards!” Lmao Whaatt?? 😂😂💯💯
This woman is EPIC in more ways than one! Love how she accepts her ugliness, and is a complete psycho! I can't believe I went all these years never knowing about this character!
PS: I love the boys voice!
Brandon Hunter her natural form isn't ugly, she's kidna cute, in a goofy way
in italian her name's Maga Magò! scary. really scary. for the 4 years old me at least!
My first time seeing this movie I feel like
man I don't hear this one talked about like that
This movie introduced me to the verb "bungle" and for that I am eternally grateful
2:16 that made me feel hypnotized if I was a boy I would totally fall in love if that was her real face and voice and the sparrows face makes him look like a sparrow that's hypnotized
I'd be this lady in a heartbeat!!!!
I always thought she was a charming and funny villainess. I mean she sings a cute little song about how crazy she is. What’s not to love?
Absolutely one of my most favorite movies from Disney I could watch it every day all day!!
