- The spotlight on Nvidia's (NVDA) upcoming earnings has also put a spotlight on global chip production as multiple data points reveal China has ramped up production of legacy chips, which are semiconductors built on nodes that are 28 nanometers or larger. These chips are foundational given that most of the world's technologies are built on these types of semiconductors. The ramp-up in production has caused some in the US to become concerned that China will flood the global market with cheap alternatives, leading to a price collapse for the chip industry.

Chips should be as readily available as bread, so that people all over the world can afford technology products. China is doing this.
when china exports its overcapcity...... when the US does it , its productive ..... Should be a ban of US state subsided agriculture for instance
@@LL-rm8xt when I hear over capacity, I think it’s that the definition of trade. You make more than you need so you sell.
Gooo China, and BRICS!
Is China doing the same with legacy chips the way the US has been doing with the US Dollar? Except, in the latter, the demand is fast waning
the latter also have not much used other than as a toilet paper, and not a very good one too
AMERICAN POLITICIANS AND POLICY MAKERS DO NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THE SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY AND MARKET. THIS IS NUTS.
Concurrential advantage is renamed "overcapacity" when it is chinese. LOL
Bought AWS46M after watching your video, super excited! 💰
US wants a monolpy so that they can hike prices😂 we'll buy from china thank you
U.S. overcapacity: debt; dollars; and wars. 😂
and lies.
And hypocrisy.
5nm is legacy, china already manufactured alot of those, meanwhile US has not moved past 14nm
It is very hard to see project which can be used in real life like AWS46M 🥳🥳🥳
When the world knows this, we already x50 🚀
this is a life changing project
I am so bullish right now
I've heard lots of people from X and Facebook talking about this one
very promising
AWS46M is still extremely undervalued

China's goods helping lower inflations
Critical but risk flooding the market......are these mfer ever for the consumer?
I get it - "legacy" is a new convenient word for "white supremacy".
Way to go!! We global consumers waiting for China chips!…
As a customer, I just wanna say "Thank you China"

@@valetudo1569 Bots always swarm economics and politics themed videos.
Don’t be so gloomy - it’s not your style!
Especially for you:
“Biden is the most democratic and youngest president in the history of mankind!
Oh beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife
Who more than self, their country loved
And mercy more than life
America, America may God thy gold refine
'Til all success be nobleness
And every gain divined!”
@@alko_xo At least he didn't try to overthrow our democracy by spreading lies about not losing. As old and senile as Biden is, I'd take him over an insurrectionist any day
what is the risk. of course flooding. it is THE idea.
Chip is cheap ! Nvidia will collapse
Man you must be those billionaire investors people are talking about
“Overcapacity” and “national security? 😂😂😂😂
Sanctions or not, china is a big player anyway
The lady in the green should have read this in the mirror beforehand. Are they going to flood the market or are they hoarding them?
Meta and apple are flooding the world market too.
In our narrative “overcapacity” is a propaganda word for lower profits for some of our big chip corporations and better situation for the public both here and abroad.
The chip story is just a myth. Chinese people like to break the myth!
Am I the only one that thinks the US banning China from buying US chips is unfair. What am I missing?
A lot. Do more research on "Why is US banning China from buying US chips"
US government definitely wants to make China greater than the US for some reasons.
it's not just "US" chips. it's any advanced chips & chip making capabilities from anywhere globally.
Because these advanced chips come from US investments in R&D back in the day.
no problem. it means they reduce their sales which might affect their capability to fund future r&d. secondly, it give more push for china to produce high end chips. later it will be space station 2.0 moment.
A self-goal for the US.
China could make nukes, bullet train, EV or spaceship to Mars, how hard it is for China to make its own chip ?.
Legacy chip is 28nm or larger😂
Which is majority of the market.
Gooo china😊
This is going to lead to more tariffs from countries who produce legacy chips. If they do not, then their industries will be decimated to near zero
@@valetudo1569 and the country producing chips need to export theirs to China for manufacturing. Why would China import the chips from them when they can use inhouse ?
@@sharkcat1021 I think you are misunderstanding what I'm saying... I'm saying countries that have legacy-chip industries, like some of the countries in the video, will end up putting a tariff (tax) on importing Chinese legacy chips to protect their own legacy chip industries. This means the chips that they manufacture in their own country and not in China
There aren't that many countries that produce legacy chips, except the usa. That doesn't matter because usa has already blocked everything made in China already.
@@freetorobandloot Well thats not true at all...
Good for consumers
Price collapse good for consumers
Pause longer.
Lots of bots….
the world can not purchase Chinese CHIPS
