    My brother had a 1960 Crown Imperial with the swivel seats. Nice car!

    The 2 things I miss most about vehicles are interior color choices and wing windows!

    Why on earth would anyone take a cadillac over this?

    Note, Free-standing headlights were unique to ONLY 61, 62 and 63. I've owned 3 '63's. These are wonderful cars. This one is a base Imperial. Still very nice condition. Would love to see if all the parts removed from the dash are in the trunk. Hopefully, the hubcaps are in the trunk. They are one-year only for '61 and a set can sell for the same as a complete car!

    Man that car is still in amazing condition for the year! Wow! I remember The balzeka’s dealer in Chicago! On archer avenue! Wow amazing find! And a beautiful example at that!

    My life was yet to be created when this car was made. I enjoy seeing old stuff.

    Just a comment, on the Headlamps of Vigil Exner, these were also seen on other cars, like, Excalibur Limousine and you can see it on the late 60's Stutz Blackhawk.

    He’s right…where do you find a blue cow for the blue leather? Exner sure designed unique cars!

    Nice car - An Imperial only for it was a separate division like Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, or Desoto.

    Beautiful automobile... *ART* on wheels!

    My stepfather had 1964, it was equipped with a 413. With a Carter AFB 4 bbl from the factory, this thing was one mean machine. Given the size & weight of it !!!

    Wow! Someone took really good care of that car in its earlier years. Looks like a very good candidate for a museum quality retore since it's so complete, straight, and rust-free.

    A friend of mine back in the 80's had a white one that I swear he called an Imperial Crown. I'll never forget all of the chrome on the nose of that car, and I swear he also said that it was a 440 car, if I'm not mistaken.

    • @Nonerequired
      @Nonerequired Před 2 lety +3

      The Crown was an up level Imperial. My dad had a 61 almost exactly like this one, and then a '68 which was a Crown Coupe.

    Its a Imperial by Chrysler, not Chrysler Imperial. Sometime in the early 1970's Chrysler renamed the car Chrysler Imperial.

      @davidkastin4240 Před 2 lety +1

      The toilet seat, deck lid cover, was a 1 yr only option, and the steering wheel was optional too available more than 1yr.

  • @GaryGrube1
    @GaryGrube1 Před 2 lety +3

    Imperial, NOT "Chrysler Imperial". Imperial was its own division. This is like saying Ford Lincoln or GM Cadillac.
