Our family of us 6 kids, loaded, 12 ' uhaul trailer with everything we owned, on the roof of the 1963 Dodge 318 wagon one tricycle and a 1957 Gibson L5 (no case) plus luggage brought all 8 of us from Omaha Nebraska to LasVegas in the summer of'67! , then became a hotel room for all of us for two nights until our new place was ready to move-in! My Dad slept(or stood watch)on the tailgate!!We literally owe our life to that Dodge!! My Dad had some Guts! My Mom would have been way more nervous than she already was if she new all that was riding on 4 wheel drum brakes!Lol!! 0:50

I was just given an '89 Gran Fury AHB that is that color silver/grey with black. The tag is not original. Government tag is not a civilian tag, civilian tags of that era have the county designation on a decal centered at the bottom section of the plate.

Its a Imperial by Chrysler, not Chrysler Imperial. Sometime in the early 1970's Chrysler renamed the car Chrysler Imperial.

Beautiful Harley Davidson, perfect without doing anything to it. I have one just like it. Same color diamond ice. Can't beat that motor, last year evolution, bullet proof.

The 1963 Chryslers were a real improvement over the '62s. They no longer had that dated, carried over from 1957 look. I'll bet sales were much better for that year, too.

Those of us who have been watching know Steve now owns this one. I want to see it once it's restored. These cars were pretty unique-looking.

This car is an Imperial not a Chrysler!!!

Believe it or not, the velour interior is legitimate. OSHP ordered them that way they used extremely heavy-duty canvas seat covers over them. The General Electric radio is original too. I would love to know the story on this. OSHP stripped the equipment and decals before decommissioning their cars, especially the radio. Very odd.

Fire Police used the 2 door. The problem is you're never going to be able to find a dashboard or body panels they just don't exist. Unfortunately there is no aftermarket support for the 69-73 c body.

Somebody put the valour seats in it, the door panels would be valour as well Steve!

I don't know any reason it couldn't be factory special order, that engine was available from Chrysler Corp in 1957🤔

Why would someone spend the kind of money it took to build this truck then abandon it in this dusty location? They must have more money than sense is the only thing I can think as to why. This is the first time I've seen you describe anything other than a Mopar. Nice change.

I've had several 9C1's (Chevy) which turned out to be great cars but never experienced the Mopar version. I used a 9C1 as a dirt track car in the pure stock class and kicked butt with it. It had 73 feature wins before retiring it. It was somewhat of a legend in my neck of the woods. The only 4 door race car around and it always ran up front. "The purple+yellow grocery getter #36" from SE Ohio. If I remember right the Mopars from this time period allows seemed to have a over heating problem. You would raise the hood and the engine compartment would be coated with dried rusty radiator puke. I must admit Mom had a 73 Fury and it was a good car.

A friend’s father had one of these in the early 60s there where 7 kids . They were farmers my parents bought milk and eggs off them . The pony and a few goat kids enjoyed the ride as well as myself.
