    Great review but I noticed a few things myself about this laptop. Overall the performance of this laptop has been fair. The finish is top-notch. The screen has not been so bad for me but could be a little brighter. The letters on the keypad are hard to see on the silver-finished model in bright daylight. This was kinda surprising to me. The camera is really bad. Can't believe HP quality control allowed a camera this poor to be released on a model when so many people depend on video for all sorts of things these days. Poor resolution and very grainy.

    Hey, cool review there. I like how you mention if the laptop can handle photoshop work or Cad modelling tasks.
    I couldn't help but ask what could be a good choice of notebook for the purpose of industrial design. Main usage would include autodesk alias and heavy photoshop/indesign. Would really appreciate some suggestions. Cheers.

    I really enjoyed your honesty. I was so surprised at how poor the screen was. I must be missing something? Is the screen a 4K OLED (3840 x 2400)? Without question the CPU was way to slow/cheap? It needs a 10850H CPU.
    The only reason I even watched the video was it was a 2020 version. I love the HP Specter 360 series.
    The color and look of this model computer puts almost all other computers to shame. It’s so rich looking. I have last years (2019) 13.6 model and could just look at it all day.
    I just bought the Dell XPS 15 9500 laptop (2020) and I LOVE, LOVE this computer, except for one huge issue (for me at least) is that this 15.6 does not have the right side number pad. I miss that so much.
    Again, thank you for an excellent and honest review. Ted

      Thanks. Shame about the Envy x360 display although I can see how it overlaps with the Spectre x360 range. The better CPU's (Intel H) and displays (4K/OLED) have been reserved for the Spectre models. Although having said that, Dell is knocking it off the park with the Inspiron 13/15 7000 2-in-1 range. Mightily impressed with the Dell Inspiron 13 7306 I reviewed not long ago. 👍

      Both models have 11th Gen versions out this month. I would argue the HP Envy x360 with MX450 GPU and 400 nits display panel would be the better buy on paper. However the Yoga 7i is still a great laptop (11th Gen) if you can find a deal online with it.

Now I’m studying English, and from next year, my major is economics. Which do you prefer, sir, HP Envy 360 i5 (2020) 1 TB or MacBook Air 13 i5 (2019) 128GB? I am not sure about them, about storage, or year for my studying. I will have to upload some programs for my major, maybe. Can you tell me your advice, please?

    • @Dovecomputers
      @Dovecomputers  Před 3 lety

      128GB on the MB Air is too small for practical use. You need 512GB SSD storage minimum. The other consideration is with Apple devices, you won't be able to upgrade anything as it is soldered on. Whereas the HP Envy x360, you can upgrade the M.2 SSD in a few years time for example. 👍
