Guys! If you have any questions about the assembly of the video room or where I got certain things feel free to ask! I will make another video explaining some of the stuff at a later date but until then...ask away!
Dont know if you guys cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf recently :)
I was wondering where the adult section was during the first vid... Progress!!! Also, if you REALLY want it to be an authentic experience, you should go through some of the VHS tapes and 'un-rewind' them before re-shelving them. Mostly because morning shift was too lazy to do it themselves, now forcing YOU to do it at the counter during checkout, wasting even more time while the line continues to grow!
I started my video collecting from video stores since 1997 I bought my first over the counter Go Video vcr system which would allow u to record practically anything , I had memberships at many location even out of state. My collection grew quick ,but later as video stores closed out I’d go back to these same store’s and purchase the same video w case for next to nothing I knew these movies that some would be hard to find later on.
I'm 15 rn, I only got 3 shelves each can fit 26 dvds. Gotta store the rest in this shelf thing in my wardrobe which only fits under 80. After seeing this video this is exactly the way I'd love to display them. It looks absolutely incredible.

JackIEEEEEEE, One MOOOOooar thing: I'm guessing animation and video games would be next if you ever did knock down that wall? Or just put a door in it...
Well done on the video store look! I could never store that many dvd's in my space but I built some neat shelving for the collection I have and will be covering that in a future video. It's a bit of a shrine to life experiences. My dvd/blu-ray collection is a little over 250 and I can't think of too many more movies that I would want to own. If I wanted, my shelves could store about 500 but for the moment, I'm getting into vintage stereo and I need to review my CD collection. Normally, vintage audio enthusiasts have turntables but I don't have room for that or vinyl and many of my CD's have life experiences connected to them. My Friday The 13th movies are at the top section of the collection - only the original up to Friday Part 6 along with most of my horror movies.
I bet your set up is looking good dude! It's the same with certain movies for me too. I have a connective tissue with them, remembering the people I was with on the movie hunt, the experiences had during the day and then the first viewing with friends, kids or the wife. So I totally get it!
Thanks man, I did a newer video not on my phone that gives a better look at the layout called " I built my own video store" feel free to check that one out as well!!
That's a pretty incredible library of stuff you got, not sure who's autograph is on that copy of The Warriors but I love it. Even though you guys don't actually rent out, your horror section full on massacres actual video stores I've seen.
Thanks so much man! Warriors is signed by James Remar! When I met him I talked to him Biut The Quest and we squared off like him and JCVD. You have no idea how much you saying that means to me dude. I was so weary of showing off the store.
I loved those Mom and Pop Video Stores I loved going inside the kid section for like Care Bears, My Little Pony and Sailor Moon. And I also like Rainbow Brite and I love playing Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart. I also love Pokemon.
Great tour you have a lot of movies! I picked up a blind buy today for a movie that I think you would like called mermaid down. It has a interesting premise to it.
Awesome dude. You have an awesome set up dude. Reminds me of my days of working in a video store. True I don't have many horrors starting with letter Q I have Quarantine 1-2 as well lol.
I dont have A Quiet Place but it's in bargain bins now lol. Yeah, those were the happiest days of my life so I love to just come hang out in my video store... pull movies off the shelves and look at them. Play some Turtles, listen to some music.... it's a time machine for sure
Nice video store you have an awesome collection of VHS tapes DVDs, and Blu-rays Rottin’ Roger also here are five movies that Shout Factory should release on Blu-Ray 5 Aloha Summer from 1988 directed by Tommy Lee Wallace 4 American Yakuza from 1993 directed by Frank Capello 3 Fight Night part 2 from 1988 directed by Tommy Lee Wallace 2 Open House from 1987 directed by Jag Mundhra 1 The Night Filer from 1997 directed by Mark Pavia
Holy shit. I think i'll do some more autographs this year too. I need to buy more shelves because my movies that arent shelved are just sitting in my closet 😩 Again, holy shit. Im so glad you showed all of the collection off.
Autographed flicks are the way to go! My 8x10's sit in that Memberships binder.. plus I only have so much wall space for posters. Our house is plastered in them. Thanks for watching dude! I kept putting it off and then I was like well, wtf.. might as well show off the video store! Share the shit out of it haha!
14:18 QUARANTINE 2 I thought was better than the first.. the first was a stupid Americanized remake of [REC] but the second did its own thing and was all the better for it. :-) But yeah that's about all I have for Qs. Edit: OH! A QUIET PLACE is great. Unless you count the "A"... (my movie collection app doesn't)

Those dope ass stickers and for some reason the VHS head cleaners make me happy but the crown jewel is that big box Transformers.
Hell yeah! That was gifted to me by Snarles Barkley aka Dillon W!
very nice.
Thanks man! Lots of years of collecting and it's finally getting there!
It's all the things I truly like. I want to do this one day.
looks awesome i miss video stores i wish i enjoyed them more then i did as a kid
You don't know what you got until it's gone I suppose!
I saw the Last Dragon in there
Oh yeah! That's one of my favorite movies of all time!!

You definitely should!
Just do it bro
Love it
Thanks budday! I forgot to show some stuff so I'll do another one within a month or so and point out some different things
Mixed formats on the shelf is my preferred- that’s how the old-school rental stores like Scarecrow do it. VHS literally right up against blu.
I used to do mine like that as well. It was definitely easier to find stuff
Great store and great tour!
Thanks man! I can't wait to do more to it! I'm glad you enjoyed the progress of it so far!
Amazing video 😍😍😍 thanks for showing. I've wanted to see your set up for ages and was not disappointed! Love the horror section
