  • The draft boot was rotted on my Massey Ferguson 35 and was in need of replacement. This video shows what is involved in removing the draft spring unit and replacing the rubber boot.

    Thanks for the video. My 'turnbuckle" had a rubber plug in the threaded end so the rod unthreaded rather easily. 1965 135MF

      That was a lucky break. I may just have to add a rubber plug to mine that is an excellent idea.

    What thread is the set screw that is removed at the beginning of the video?

    Is your draft control working
    OK now?

      I think so. I do not have any implements. Is there a way to test it without a plow. 3 point lifts up and down as it should.

      @@thedelcodave you can put the draft lever in the position between the dots and the control lever in the fast or slow position. Then give that clevis at the back a good shake and pull, best with a top link on and see it the lift arms come up and down

    Will water get into the transmission if the boot is gone.?

    • @thedelcodave
      @thedelcodave  Před 3 měsíci

      These tractors share a fluid reservoir with the rear and the gearbox. So if your boot is missing water will get down and contaminate your fluid. The boots on the shifters will leak water directly into your transmission.

    Se questa molla non funziona che problemi dà?

      If you hit a rock or root with an implement the spring will prevent overload to the hydraulic system.
