Rachel, I congratulate you on a well organized and informative tutorial video on the rebuild of this hydraulic pump and control/actuator group. However, if you really want to take it to the next level, you need to literally "clean up your act". I would clean it before disassembly.but I guess we dont all have a pressure cleaners, and i would have a rag in my pocket to wipe my hands with, trying to hang on to slippery parts is not good when you could just wipe your hands to keeps them free of oil. it's a simple thing but if are doing this for a living you wouldn't even think about it.
Amazing woman. I would have been intimidated trying to swap out that pump. I just bought a Massey 2135 too . I know where I'll be buyin my parts for it now. Great job Rachel.
Question on washing the internals to get down to a clean start. I use Naptha to get everything clean, then I rinse and dry with 91% isopropyl alcohol from the drug store. Then I reassemble, but several people have told me I shouldn't use Naptha. What do you use to get internals nice and clean?
You shouldn't use Naptha ( naphtha ) for cleaning mechanical parts with sensitive surfaces "such as any type of cylinders, pistons, gears, contact ends of drive shafts, and especially bearings with all sizes" . You may use Diesel instead !

Excellent tutorial. You make it look really easy.
I’m very impressed! It’s a huge deal you are as smart as you are, young, and can do this work better than any Pro I have ever seen! Beautiful young, extremely smart you are everything your generation is NOT , How did you escape the fate of being like the rest? I love watching your videos, I don’t and probably won’t ever own a tractor but I feel like I’m getting an education in a lost art! You are amazing!
Seth Lavinder you're casting a wide blanket over an entire generation, IMO you need to get out and meet more of them or widen your circle. There are plenty of great kids that age. I volunteer at the Wounded Warrior center here in my town and the military if full of kids her age that are just as smart, interested, and caring. I also volunteer at the local Guide Dogs Training facility and am constantly amazed by the sheer number of young kids her age that also come out volunteer and work hard. Good people are out there everywhere.
Do you live on social media where older people just whine about young people? The only difference between now and years ago is there is social media to share the few examples and pretend it is everyone, where a bunch of old people pretend they are so much better than kids these days. BTW, I am 60 and I actually have a working memory.
I would have cleand the whole airea first, and the parts before putting them in again.
But a verry nice voise to listen to well done.
Thanks so much for the video. You just fixed my tractor, well i couldn't have done it without you.
Impressive 👍
Wish i had a Massey Ferguson
Question on washing the internals to get down to a clean start. I use Naptha to get everything clean, then I rinse and dry with 91% isopropyl alcohol from the drug store. Then I reassemble, but several people have told me I shouldn't use Naptha. What do you use to get internals nice and clean?
Brake cleaner👍🏼
You shouldn't use Naptha ( naphtha ) for cleaning mechanical parts with sensitive surfaces "such as any type of cylinders, pistons, gears, contact ends of drive shafts, and especially bearings with all sizes" . You may use Diesel instead !
great job on the video! I have an issue with mine and you made it very clear through the video. Well done!
Cheers for a great vid!! What a accent you’ve got. Don’t have a massy but nice to see you’re skilled in working on tractors
