  • Learn how important nutrition is in our daily lives!
Psychiatric illness treated as nutritional deficiencies.
Over 80% of serotonin is found where?
    NO.
NOT in the brain. It is in the GUT! This is why there has been such a huge jump in mental illness in America such as ADD, Depression, and autism. The culprit is leaky gut which is from antibiotic use early in life.
The antibiotics kill the normal gut flora and therefore make it impossible for us to break down the foods we eat properly.
Even worse, it also leads to the ability of the larger proteins, such as Gluten, to get directly into the bloodstream. This causes systemic inflammation which can lead to autoimmune disorders.
Learn the truth about how to make better food choices that can lead to better mental health.

I wasted about 20 years of my life being "treated" by allopathic doctors. Bergman speaks the truth here. Life is too short, don't waste it being treated by the majority of MDs who are unable to make you well.

Doctors don't make you well! They might assist your body in healing itself. Your body is 100% capable of healing if given the correct tools. Doctors only go after symptoms and try to cover them up through surgery and toxic drugs. They need to make more customers-for-life...

Went to the Doctor last week for a diabetes check-up last week, and the doc told me I am bi-polar. I am thinking about suing him. I told him I have been learning and implementing better nutrition. I guess he did not like the fact that I am healing myself. 4 months ago I could barely walk, now I am riding my bike and losing weight.

      MrRwb1965 - YOU FREAKING ROCK!!
The ama is sad, tho! Last time I paid cash in full(200), I got LESS than 8 minutes to see a doc. They passed me off to a new nurse practitioner who listened to my symptoms(wouldn't have had to if she'd just've paid attention and LOOKED at me), then she told me I didn't have the cash on that day to pay for extensive testing, so there was nothing she could do.
She then placated me, told me I needed a behavior modifier(b/c I'm obviously nuts and not in pain), and practically ran out the door. She never even felt my lymph nods which are still swollen. I'm done with the AMA; the docs I can afford have NO common sense. I probably have something written on file now, due to her lack of knowledge.
Willful arrogance is a killer; especially when it's coming from your doctor. Hope you're still kicking ass!

    “Simply Thank you”
    Introduction:
After more than twenty years of fighting depression, many psychologists and many psychiatrists and so many cycles of medication, this simple personal insight brought me home!
To all those beautiful people who have suffered from depression I would like to say “Thank you, Simply Thank you” for doing such a wonderful job. Thank you for being such beautiful and courageous messengers , such shining beacons!
I hear your pain , I have felt your pain, and now I hear your message and I hear it loud and clear for your message is simply the pain of humanity and the way it has to live now. The way we are living now is so wrong, so wrong, there is so little human-ness left in the way we live. We need to change, and we need to change now! So now relax in the knowing of a job well done, your message has been heard, that there has never been anything wrong with you, you are simply a gifted messenger!
I know that place you go to; that deepening, darkening tunnel, which you shuffle down with trembling knees, and your body full of terror and panic. I know that place you go to, where the tunnel ends, where your bare feet are on solid ground but your toes are dangling over nothingness, an empty abyss, and it is so dark and frightening. Then dimly just ahead there is a feint outline, misty at first, that slowly forms into a shape, a doorway, and it's only about five feet away.
And I know that moment when you are rocking on the balls of your feet, trying to decide wether to jump or not. “ I wonder if I can leap across in one bound or shall I take a few steps back and take a running jump?”
Then for some reason, you stop rocking and plant your heels firmly back on the ground, and from somewhere deep, deep inside you grab hold of something primal, something essential and you turn around facing back the way you came and take a deep breath. I thank you in this moment for choosing to return to life rather than taking the leap of death.
All ahead is blackness and you squint your eyes and then dimly perceive a minute spec of light, so small you are not sure it is real at all. So you slowly retrace your steps, and that little spec of light gets bigger and bigger as you shuffle fearfully upwards.
You are heading back to the light and it is your light, and it is getting brighter and brighter until it's the colour of Cornish Ice cream and you can feel it's warmth enfold you, and suddenly you are out of the tunnel, back in the gallery of life.
So you take your light and sit down, and relax and look back at where you came from. The tunnel is gone, the entrance has been bricked over, then plastered over and some artists have painted a mural over the place honouring the purpose of the tunnel.
You are Home, you are safe! Well done and Simply Thank you!
Namaste' Bob and Barnaby Eden. Woof.

I spent 21 years on psychiatric meds-most I got off of 4 years ago and went the natural route (LOTS of exercise, a good support system and REAL FOOD); all but Lunesta, that is...until I picked up the information/tips I was missing in your sleep lecture. THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS! I have made soooooo many heroic attempts to quit the sleeping meds, but always gave up by night 4/5. The key was just like you said; "Sleep Deprivation!"
Here's my question: my thyroid went belly-up 15 years ago. I take Synthroid .125. How do I get off that too? I have watched all of your lectures on CZcams on the gut, leaky Gut, autoimmune diseases and probably 25 others. I am currently on a leaky gut and anti-inflammatory diet. I want to be be completely clean of pharmaceuticals-HOW DO I ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR SYNTHETIC THYROID MEDICATION?

It us very high in Glycine, which is shown in studies, scientifically done, that in 60 gram daily doses to dramatically benefit serious mental Illnesses. I will continue using it, as food supplements need to be taken on a daily, or more basis.you may find that one tabkespoon a day or more, can decrease you symptoms of bipolar, adhd, schizoaffective disorder. I am diagnosed with schizoaffective, bipolar type.I am feeling much lees of negative symptoms. Its worth taking 2 tablespoons a day of bulk gelatin. It feeds the brain, makes uts neurons grow, and you may find it beneficial too. Harold

Thank you Dr, Bergman for the educational enlightenment and your loving kindness for sharing.
My wife has been going through a very difficult experience for the last several /four years
She has been going through an emotional imbalance, originally brought upon her through a fear that she encountered during prayer. She has been suffering from the induced anxiety/ depression, which in turn led to insomnia.
We have tried holistic approaches and medical approaches, has seen
several doctors MD's and specialists Internist, Neurologists, Psychiatrists but have not found any medical condition or any other abnormality other than anxiety./ Depression.
She has had suicidal thoughts and 1 attempt and was hospitalized . At some points she has given up on Christ and the faith, she became rejective. We always try to seek the holistic or natural approach to things before seeking the medical approach because of all the side
effects that it has in our bodies
When she tries to pray more and draw closer to God she gets more anxious so she backs off
She has a very difficult time sleeping as well so she is leaning on the
Klonopin “ clonazepam “ medication which has many bad side effects just
so she can get some rest at night
She has tried many different holistic approaches to aid in her sleep, but to no avail, Every prescribed medication has not helped her either .
We also consulted with other functional medicine doctors, but it seems that the recommended supplements were not going well with her, maybe she did not give it enough time, not the right dosages or combination of supplements.
She mentioned said she feels things shifting and moving inside her body sort of
spasms and brain shifts, as she describes I think this may all be side
effects and or withdrawals from the medication.
She seems to have a difficult time overcoming the intrusive thoughts as she
describes that interfere with her prayer and confuse her.
She also tells me that she gets compulsive during prayer and she goes into a vicious cycle with intrusive negative thoughts, her mental images/pictures are blurry.
Please , can someone provide some advise or recommendation.
    We are in Northern N.J
Thanks for your guidance and edification
    Andres and Sandra

    Men In Pain
    Why?
For me the reason men are in so much pain is because for centuries they have been denied access to their own most powerful healing tool, “Feelings”!
“Big Boys don’t cry, Suck it up, Deal with it, If you don’t stop crying I will give you something to cry for, Man-up, just a few hammers that come to mind.
In my own journey,I spent over 20 years trying to think my way out of depression and it only got worse, It was not until I learned how to silence my mind, that I could hear my heart, and so I started feeling the pain of depression and allowing those feelings that had been locked inside me to fully express. For me, Depression was a gift for it drove me to find my own soulutions.
So now , I listen to my heart and body and obey them, whatever feelings come up I express them in the moment (depending on location, haha) and allow them to discharge. Depression was just a spiritual wake up call, a rite of passage and a natural human response to having to live in such a corrupt and oppressive society!
    “Feelings are Healings”!

thinking and doing are the ways you change physiology and emotions.
Meditation e.g. will change your heart beat, provide more oxygen and change your brain chemistry.
this reduces stress by having you live in the now.
If you exercise you change numerous chemicals in your brain.
If you are experiencing symptoms, it is a sign that something is wrong. You may have present complications in thought either due to past problems or triggers of problems, that will cause many changes for the negative in your body.
All problems are in the present.
Health has to deal with more than just fixing symptoms, so if you have a lot of fear and anxiety, you will get symptoms, physically. It is important to take care of those problems, to reduce symptoms, and do something to help the physiology. Treating all things at once is better than just focusing on nutrition, not that nutrition and exercise and oxygen are not important.

Heres a good example where you need to think as you watch videos. He starts off telling you about the huge increase. I would like to suggest in the 70s people did not discuss nor get diagnosed for mental illness. I have lifelong clinical depression and then in the 70s had post partum depression. Thats after you have a baby. I stayed in bed for 6 months just barely getting up to be the housewife who was expected to run the household. I never ever thought of going to dr for this. And neither did any close family. In fact did not get diagnosis and help until late 60s. And the lifetime shame it is just now being acceptable to have mental illness.

It failed on me though, I had vitamin D defieciency and it was really mild and I took it for 5 months and it didn’t do anything, nothing was wrong with my body, I was on no medication at all and then was wrongly diagnosed with depression but then had a manic episode after years of hypomania & depression. Medication for me helps a lot and has kept me episode free for almost a decade so stop bringing down the medications, I have not gained weight, ate healthy, slept 8-10 hours a night, exercised every single day and honestly I have never felt better my whole life, I have never been this stable and normal and down to earth. I have jumped off the meds before and started manic or depressive episodes with psychosis and catatonia but im just completely normal now.

So what is the SOLUTION?! I love what you have to share about psych illness, bipolar in particular, and the causes and problems with common current modern day psychiatric treatment and whatnot... but then skip to the end and there are 10 seconds left during which you share on how to get down to fixing the problem and not just treating symptoms poorly like all these drugs do.
What do you do with these checkup results you suggest? And earthing is great, but what should we garden? It's overwhelming as a bipolar chick with a lot on her plate and miracle gro in the yard but a deep detest for Monsanto and GMO and chemicals and all that YUCK. And what are these toxic foods we no longer should eat? 30-60oz veggie juice per day? That's it? Or in addition to other food? niacin? vitamin c? How much? what's the right amount of rest? How often to meditate you say, an hour a day? 15 minutes at a time? It takes me 15 minutes just to zone out for a moment to get into meditation ... I will go with it though.... Getting your systems checked, you mention again, oh great it's expensive. It's only $25 at *your* office....who knows what it is out here in the boondocks. Digital X Rays? What for? So we splurge on checkups and xrays and really potent nutritional garden-fresh food... where are some Bipolar people you've healed this way? Please interview or show a testimonial of one! I'm getting so anxious and so desperate to find a solution to this disorder that doesn't involve taking drugs that erase part of me that makes me who I am and the part of me that feels and enjoys things in life...that's no way to go through life, taking all the joy out of it. So please...God please I hope you see this message somehow, I'll keep posting it around your CZcams and in emails and comments or whatever I can do until you see it and have a minute to give a response. Thank you.

      “Simply Thankyou”
      Introduction:
After more than twenty years of fighting depression, many psychologists and many psychiatrists and so many cycles of medication, this simple personal insight brought me home!
To all those beautiful people who have suffered from depression I would like to say “Thankyou, Simply Thankyou” for doing such a wonderful job. Thankyou for being such beautiful and courageous messengers , such shining beacons!
All ahead is blackness and you squint your eyes and then dimly percieve a minute spec of light, so small you are not sure it is real at all.
Well done and Simply Thankyou!
Namaste' Bob and Barnaby Eden. Woof.

JJ King I am also in the medical field and have thought most of the things that I have heard Bergman say. Although I am not a doctor these are the conclusions I have come to over the years. Quinoa is great stuff just make sure you rinse it before you cook. These grains can be 'dirty' and may cause joint pain if they are not rinsed well. Chia seeds are great, but in excess can cause bleeding problems. Everything in moderation. I think Bergman is onto something big and it is great to hear someone verbalizing what I have been thinking for a long time.

If you guys want to get better and enjoy life more, embrace your pain and realise that you need one another. Be kind to one another. Yes, take care of your diet, yes go and try a chiropractor if you're sore but most importantly accept that there is no quick fix in life. Life does have pain in it. What eases that pain is the love of others. Put your energy into that as well as all the other stuff ok. Turn to your pain, it will change, then you can truly empathise with others and life will be all the richer for it. Lovely pussy cat has entered the room and wants attention. Bye all, and wishing you all well.

If illness causes ppl to behave systematically sick it goes beyond empathy... It is another level of healing
