Loved how Tina, Amy, Rachel, Ana, Maya and Molly all returned to work with Betty White. Mad respect!
And with them all the classic sketches like Delicious Dish, Debbie Downer, Manual Ortiz show, and Bronx Beat came too!
Fun fact- they were there in case Betty couldn’t go on or something happened to her because of her age. They had Tina on standby ready to be the host and take all of Betty’s characters. Didn’t need it tho- because it’s Betty F’n White.
Betty joked in an interview that she was disappointed all the women came back because that meant she'd have fewer men to flirt with on set!

Notice how Will didn't even try to continue with the song right after she appeared. They knew the audience would go crazy and built that extra time right into the skit. Smart thinking, when you've got a live show to do.

Ya know what’s ironic? This awesome woman whom many have wished was their mother, grandmother, etc. never had any children of her own-per her declared choice-unlike the character she played in this skit. So with that, it feels like she could have been anyone’s matriarchal figure. She was ever so beloved and admired by the masses. Rest In Peace, glorious Betty White. ❤️💐
She also had three stepchildren to care for when her late husband Allen Ludden transitioned.

It was a shock that a 99 year old woman died? I mean, not trying to be insensitive, but when someone reaches 90+ years of age you shouldn't be shocked when they pass.

My folks and I watched The Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday Night and Dad and I would watch SNL as well. SNL with Dan Aykroyd, Steve Martin, John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, etc. FYI, Lawrence Welk was born in the US. He was born on March 11, 1903 in
Strasburg, North Dakota.
Welk didn't even learn to speak English until he was twenty-one and never felt comfortable speaking it in public. I loved both TV shows! And Betty White is just fantastic all the way around!~APRIL LIPKE
