    Thanks so much for this information I accidentally put my key fob in this mode. I was having to go to the dealership tomorrow to see about the problem. I’ve only had the car for 5 days. The salesman didn’t have a clue on what could be wrong with it. lol I’m texting him to let him know that with your video the problem is now fixed. Thanks again

      So I just went through all of this, I have a 2021 3 Turbo with 50k, and wife has an NA CX30 with 60k, Mazda uses the same 2.5 SAG and SAG Turbo engines and mostly the same 6speed transmissions for all their models at the moment so the information that I am covering below applies to CX5 and CX50 too. I'm a reliability engineer, so I am anal about my maintenance routines and analysis.
      1st. this is very very important!, you need to be running a high Moly Oil. Ideamistu (Mazda oil OEM suplier) makes one, but its hard to find. TRIAX Lubricants has a really great Euro oil line available in our weights and is a high Moly oil. It has also has been getting great UOAs (used oil analysis) for me. The moly is also needed for the Sky Active G engines to get their rated fuel economy; people and dealers not putting the proper Mazda high moly or equivalent oil in is most likely the cause for fuel economy complaints in my opinion. For the models with the turbo SAG, 5-6K on oil depending on your driving. Mazda spec is 5K, I tried to push past 6K but I didn't like the amount of silica I was seeing on the UOA. The oil was in good condition otherwise. My thoughts are, oil is cheap engines aren't, so 5k is my personnel interval. I drive in very dusty environments which most likely accounts for the higher silica. NA models can go out to 7k no problem with a high end Euro spec oil like I recommended. If standard Syn like Mobile 1 is all that's available, back off to 5K like Mazda says. Wife's CX30 gets great UOAs with the TRIAX Euro 0w20 with 7K intervals, it toasted Mobile 1 by 6K and Pennzoil Ultra didn't fair much better, by toasted I mean oil was shot I was really surprised, I suspect this is because they have limited Moly in their additive packages.
      2nd. The the 6 speed transmissions on these cars are actually really hard on their fluid. I did the pan drain and re-fill at 45k, I believe this is really close to Mazda's recommended interval but im not sure. In hind site, I would have done this at 30K. Its 3.5quarts just fyi, this drain and fill swaps out about 30% of the total fluid, do this drain and fill procedure when you change the engine oil 3 times to swap out about 90% of the fluid and your good for another 30-40K. After that I recommend doing a pan drop and changing the filter too. BIG ATTENTION!!!! Please Be carful!!! with the fluid choice, DON'T buy multi vehicle ATF like the auto parts store guy will most likely recommend, our 6 speeds are actually rather picky, Mazda FZ fluid is always a safe choice, its OE, but expensive. Ravenol, and Triax both make alternates. I went with The Triax Euro ATF, it was recommended by their tech support and meets all Mazda specs, Wife immediately reported better shifts and a slight bump in MPG. She regularly sees 31mpg up from 30 now..
      3rd. As for the Diff and transfer case, I actually believe Mazda's rating of "lifetime unless the diff was submerged". I changed both the diff and transfer case in my Turbo 3 at 40K just for warm and fuzzies, the used fluid was golden clear and the UOA on it showed it was completely fine with limited metal contamination. The Mazda SG1 Hypoid gear oil or equivalent MUST be used. Its a full syn 75W80 which is a bit odd weight and you'll find this out when searching for it. Again Ravenol and Triax to the rescue, they both make alternatives that are a little cheaper and are as good or better. Again I went with the Triax just because I have had great luck with their stuff thus far. Their Euro Transfer case oil is what was recommended. From my testing, the Mazda SG1 hypoid oil is very stout gear oil and only thing bad about it is the price. Obviously Mazda felt the need to run such a high end gear oil for a reason, don't skimp out. FYI you'll only need 1 quart to do both the transfer case and rear diff, about a half quart in each. This might have something to do with why Mazda SG1 is so good, they use a very small volume, that's my guess.
      drain and fill port locations would be better suited for the OP of this video :) but I did a lot of testing and cant help but share the results with other Mazda owners if they want to listen.

      In most cases I would say yes. Take note, there are instances of hacking a device to make it transmit. (I can only assume this is rare). it sort of does. but there is a thing called "" which interferes with the signal and copies it. The user is puzzled why it didnt work the first time when they pressed it so they press it again. Now they have both signals and they release the first signal which would activate the car. But the problem is they also have the second signal and so they can access the car as well without your knowledge. best thing to do is get a good steering lock. and put your keys in a faraday box you can buy or make yourself. even then the culprits could still access the car through the OBD port. I think you can counter that with a ghost immobiliser? Dont quote me on that. My apologise if anything i have said is inaccurate to those who are more exact with this information.

    • @FreakyKiky
      @FreakyKiky Před rokem +1

      it's a design flaw and Mazda has released a technical document about it, meaning that you can go to your dealer and they must fix it under a warranty. I've been through it and they just put a new improved seal on a door handle and sensors. For me, it happened mostly while washing a car with pressure washer. After they done it, not a single time I had a problem. You should ask for repair, you paid for that feature. It can be useful and I personally like it, also I think it's a more secure way to unlock a car becausethe signal is very weak and no one can scan it as opposed to clicking the button which works even from around 50-100meters.

    Wish Mazda would focus more on things like how the car turns off every time you unlock it after remote starting it...this is one of the most annoying things about the car. Other manufactures also have remote start but the car doesn't turn off once you open the door, they have a smarter way of protecting car theft. The key fob going into battery saving mode is useless and also would cause customers to believe their key fob isn't working.
