Ants vs. Spiders is an episode many of you have been asking for! Today our fire ants, a colony known as the Fire Nation, goes head to head with a team of eight giant orb weaver spiders. The spiders were introduced into the enclosure of the fire ants as an attempt to try to eliminate all escaping fire ants as well as reproductive fire ants that fly. Watch the action unfold as two notorious and favourited arthropods come face to face! It gets intense, especially when we meet the previously unintroduced goddess of the 'Antiverse'!

Can I just say, I have entomophobia (phobia of bugs) but I'm surprisingly comfortable with your videos! I love your content and just to give an example of how bad my phobia is, one time my grandparents were at my house and left the front door wide open because they needed to fix it. I said that bugs would obviously be let in and I warned them but nah my mental health is less important than a minor inconvenience lol. Anyways- basically a giant moth flew through the door and went on a rampage through our house and I was hiding in the kitchen crying until I eventually ran to my room.
So yeah I love your videos :)

It’s gotta be his voice, and how he story tells? It’s so amazing and calming. I hope you come to terms with your fear of bugs. If it makes you feel better I don’t think moths can hurt you, they don’t have mandibles. They are soft and actually pretty calm. I’d look up some moths like rosy maple moth and lunar moth! They are beautiful. Maybe looking at something like that could help calm yours nerves on it?

Only big ones though, thin limbs set me off for someone reason lol. But little millipede things with tons of legs? Absolutely not lol. I hate roaches to. Nasty things. But yea most moths are very beautiful. I’m sorry you got stuck with a rather tormenting one hah

Do you ever wonder why we're here ? Arachnophobia still is a thing. I for my part am (luckiely) only mildly arachnophobic... but still i have one room where i spotted a rather big spider (big for german standards) as i moved in... well let me say it like that... i only once wad in that room and locked and sealed it afgerwards (keyhole with duct tape and the slit under the door with some soft playdo like stuff i forgot the name of...)
i do not want to know how it looks kn there right now after nearly 2 years... and yes my landlord knows about it and does not csre as long as i remove the seals once i move out and get someone to clean the webs up ...

Tarantulas are harmless to humans. I have not yet finished the video but the description says orbweavers which are not tarantulas. I do believe at least some orbweavers are however dangerous to humans.

Hello AntsCanada, your Team A spiders are actually Neoscona nautica, not Neoscona punctigera. Let me tell you the differences:
1. Neoscona punctigera have different markings from the spiders you caught
2. Neoscona nautica is smaller than Neoscona punctigera
3. There is a unique version of Neoscona punctigera called the "Pula Pusod" (it means red belly). No individual Neoscona nautica has been sighted with the unique colored dots.
Can we just have a moment of silence for those spiders who tried so hard to survive but died, even if you don't like spiders?
