    Another big thank you to add to the chorus. Filling the coolant for the first time on my SR and started dumping a bunch on the ground because of a mystery hose floating in space behind the manifold. Ended up being the throttle body hose but because of how it was routed I spent half an hour trying to find a fitting near the firewall. If I didn't find this vid i probably would have yanked the manifold to find something that didn't exist.

    Thank you for this video I’m putting my SR together (I bought it a year ago all apart for 400$) and I was looking at all the coolant ports under the intake manifold and I had no idea where they go to this made it so easy!
    Edit: I was missing the coolant cross over pipe so that’s why it was confusing for me

      That’s hard to say tbh . One of those things might get lucky might not . If the cylinder walls are still clean you might just be fine

    I recently had my sr put together however, had since run lean on WOT. Yesterday, I did a pressure test and found a slight leak between the intake and head, near the bottom of piston/chamber 1(if that makes sense). I know when we put my engine together, we didn’t use rtv, so now I’ll be taking the intake off and applying this. Hoping this solves my wot lean issue. Great video btw.

    I need to know what hoses to use from those two heater lines to the s13 240sx heater core. The one line is smaller in the firewall is it not? Also very tight bends. Couldnt get it to work woth a length of straight 3/4" hose

    Did you by chance put rtv on the top of the oil pump cover where it mates to the hg as well?

    any reason at all to run the iacv / tb coolant lines, with a standalone it seems pointless.

    • @Nscardigno33
      @Nscardigno33  Před rokem

      Not necessarily, it helps the car warm up faster and idle smoother while cold but with a standalone you can tune cold start without it to work fine
