Another big thank you to add to the chorus. Filling the coolant for the first time on my SR and started dumping a bunch on the ground because of a mystery hose floating in space behind the manifold. Ended up being the throttle body hose but because of how it was routed I spent half an hour trying to find a fitting near the firewall. If I didn't find this vid i probably would have yanked the manifold to find something that didn't exist.
Thank you so much for really showing the set up under the intake manifold. The only video I found explaining it 🎉
glad you found it and it helped thank you for watching and commenting!!!
Honestly thank you for taking the time any explains things AND giving the part numbers took the guess work out 😭🙏🏾🙏🏾
no problem it’s hard to remember to include everything while filming but I try☺️
Thank you for this video I’m putting my SR together (I bought it a year ago all apart for 400$) and I was looking at all the coolant ports under the intake manifold and I had no idea where they go to this made it so easy!
Edit: I was missing the coolant cross over pipe so that’s why it was confusing for me
Glad I could help! thank you for watching
Absolutely gorgeous motor. And great info
Great info on the heater core hoses! Bonus
The only engine that matters!
There he is 😏
Great content my bro! Keep it up, I’m rooting for u! ✊🏽
Thank you brother🙏 I’ve already started I’m never one to give up I’ll be here 😌

Amazing video and info , best write I’ve seen. Thank you
Glad it help, no problem thanks for watching !
@@Nscardigno33 I’ll be looking out for the harness install vid :)
That Thang looking soooo dope bro! Wish I had your skills and knowledge! I msgd you on IG about weither you thought rebuilding a KA block that's sat for 5 years missing the head. I'm a lil iffy on it lol
That’s hard to say tbh . One of those things might get lucky might not . If the cylinder walls are still clean you might just be fine
I recently had my sr put together however, had since run lean on WOT. Yesterday, I did a pressure test and found a slight leak between the intake and head, near the bottom of piston/chamber 1(if that makes sense). I know when we put my engine together, we didn’t use rtv, so now I’ll be taking the intake off and applying this. Hoping this solves my wot lean issue. Great video btw.
did that fix your issue? I've ran into that quite a few times so I rtv them all now
i hope this applies identical to the sr20de fwd🥴 i know my upper oil pan and or front cover is leaking so im going to do both at once
I need to know what hoses to use from those two heater lines to the s13 240sx heater core. The one line is smaller in the firewall is it not? Also very tight bends. Couldnt get it to work woth a length of straight 3/4" hose
Which hoses did you use to connect the coolant pipe to the heater core?
Hey bro? Not having the pump machines to the oil pump won’t be a problem?
Did you by chance put rtv on the top of the oil pump cover where it mates to the hg as well?
Yes thin layer on front cover as well as a thin layer on hg both sides
@@Nscardigno33 Thanks for the reply! I'm about to replace my oil pump cover soon and this has been really helpful
Is running the crank case blow by pipe to the valve cover like that ok???
That’s how it is from the Nissan factory
So I'm swapping out my qg18 for a sr18 and the water pipes is confusing me around under the intake manifold, need some guidance please 🙏🏾
I don’t work on sentras or fwd . 240sx only
Can you take the timing cover off without removing the upper oil pan? Thank you.
sorry for late response but no that's not possible
HEY IM TRYING TO REBUILD MY SR20DET, DO YOU HAVE THE TORQUE SPECS FOR THE WHOLE MOTOR?
tech.240sxone.com/fsm/
Factory service manual can be found here ^^
Use s14 sr20det as it’s the only one in English all torque specs are the same
@@Nscardigno33 THANKS BRO
any reason at all to run the iacv / tb coolant lines, with a standalone it seems pointless.
Not necessarily, it helps the car warm up faster and idle smoother while cold but with a standalone you can tune cold start without it to work fine
