- Pokemon and Super Mario are two of the most successful video game franchises of all time. But there is no Super Mario - Pokemon game. If we want to play Mario we need to play Mario, and if we want to play Pokemon we need to play Pokemon! But maybe there is a solution to this problem, maybe Super Mario Maker is able to solve this once and for all. In this video we are going to take a look at two different ways to recreate Pokemons battle system in Super Mario Maker!

Eric A it's okay, it's just the fact that this strat is too gimmicky, requires 2 pokemons to get it going and if that second pokemon losses the boosts or dies than that Eevee will be doing nothing at all but being a liability on your team AFTER wasting your one time z move per battle, that is if it survived the turn that it's setting up in the first
I won't say it's the worst thing you can do, but i'll rather have a good pokemon that poses as an immediate threat and let my one z move on something else

I was able to build a Pokemon TBC level thanks to this guide and I’m pretty proud of my creation. But it would have been a lot easier to build had I known that question blocks respawn when they have vines in them.
I still made my randomized enemy attacks use clown car with a P switch but I had to design my stage around the P switch to avoid the enemies HP bricks (and mine) to become coins leading to an instant win or death.
Good thing I came back to check this video and my one question now is: besides pino coins, Is there a way to save progress on how much damage you’ve dealt or have taken using CPs?

That would legitimately be incredible getting a official level editor for a pokemon styled game. Granted, you couldn't have a 100 mario challenge style thing because of how pokemon works, but still.

Mario imo would probably be a Blaziken. He's fast (Mario's pretty athletic) is Fire typed (Fire Flower) has pretty balanced attacking stats (Mario is good at both ranges) and the basis of being a bird ties into Mario's jumping

The ways of the people shift from their close relationship with Pokémon to hostile, as they all decide to become like Mario himself and become their own hero. Hammering everyone in sight for that feeling to level up and increase the stats of their beautiful mustaches.

Mario would be a normal type with no elemental power. He can only use normal attacks like punches, kicks, jumps, etc. But once he grabs an "item" he "evolves" and is able to use different powers.
Flareon = fire flower
Vaporeon = F.L.U.D.D.
Jolteon = light box
Umbreon = invisibility cap
Leafeon = racoon suit
Glaceon = ice flower
Sylveon = mini mario

Hey Ceave! Ever since you made this video I've been working on a new, smaller system that combines elemental attacks and the attack boost together, while also allowing there to be more than one fight. Now, I can happily say that the system is almost done! I just need to test some stuff to make sure that everything will load properly. Although, I haven't done anything with the enemy's attacks yet, and I also need to rebuild the system in the sub-area as well as making new attacks for the second fight. Anyway, I just wanted to notify you on what I'm doing, and what I've done so far. I can't say when the level will be complete, but so far everything's been going pretty smoothly. - Nin-Tanner

Ningo Games, don't worry, the system is complete. All I need to do is make attacks for the enemy, make a randomizer for the enemy's attacks, and then remake the whole battle in the sub-world. I'll admit, that's a lot, but at least I got the hardest thing (the system) out of the way. Again, I can't say when it'll be done.

Sorry, I haven't been working on the level. I've been so addicted to my Switch (especially with Super Mario Odyssey) lately. I need to make a reusable enemy move randomizer, make the enemy's moves, and make an extra fight (basically remaking everything in the sub-world). I wouldn't be surprised if I never complete it, but don't give up hope. I'll try to get back into my "Super Mario Maker jam."

I think Mario would be an Eevee since he can use power ups to gain abilities such as fire, ice, etc. Eevee can evolve into many different forms using stones.

I think Mario could be a Nuzleaf shiny, Princess Peach is Gardevoir, Yoshi is tyrunt shiny, blooper is inkay, goomba and galoomba are shroomish, kamek could be a Braixen, and Donkey Kong Machop or Oranguru.

Hey Ceave, I'd make the grass attack Synthesis because it heals, and Growth increases Sp.Atk. However, I understand why you would name it Growth, since it gives him the Fire Flower. And for the second battle, the attack names could be, in this order: Sonic Boom/Swift, Swords Dance and Blizzard. Anyways great video and I'd love to see you make an overworld that incorporates HMs like Surf and Rock smash. I think Mario would be Probopass, but Lickilicky would be nice too.

You did get a lot of it down, but i myself made a level with a complete PP system & fail chance. The health part i couldn't figure out, so i just gave 7 keys to a big tower of wigglers to signify you fainted/captured it. (you can run away & finish at the bottom tho)
First, you need a shellmet, then have a cloud + 1-way stopper on a tube with a muncher, which brings items/enemies up some springs, hitting a note block & doing an attack.
The thing is, you can't use item blocks, or reloading the room won't restore their items, so here's what you do:
When you put a sideways spring on a block, and a muncher next to the spring & under a note block, hitting the block from above will shake the muncher onto a bob-omb on a muncher, blowing up one hard block at a time, until it blows up the block under a bill blaster, that makes the bouncing muncher block the tube.
Though springs on bill blasters might take 2 hits to shake the muncher, so that might be tricky. The best way i found, is to push multiple enemies up, and use clouds under springs to assist after they hit the note block.
