Uterine Fibroids symptoms can be different for women, which can make fibroid treatment complicated.
We do not know the exact causes of fibroids to date - we believe a combination of genes, hormone imbalances, chronic inflammation and the environment together bring about uterine fibroids symptoms in a woman.
What are the signs of fibroids?
They include fibroid pain and abnormal vaginal bleeding problems, including heavy and prolonged periods. There are also bulk symptoms because of the pressure of large fibroids inside the pelvis and abdomen.
There are concerns about fibroids and fertility - with many believing that a small group of women may have fertility affected by fibroids.
However, most women with fibroids do get pregnant. There are other effects like premature labour or miscarriage and depression from fibroids.

I water fasted for 35 days back in 2019 and it did nothing for my fibroids. Unfortunately I have to get surgery at this point.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching, Doc. It's a really 'big issue' and I'm concerned traditional western medicine is pushing women away when they bring up natural remedies. This does not take away from the value of surgery or other treatments for certain types of fibroids, though. It's just that a lot more needs to be done to look into the natural methods to identify which may have some benefit and those that cause harm.

I have been diagnosed with ovarian cysts in the past and had them removed, along with my ovaries, but now have fibroids. They impact on my lower back and bladder. My consultant, who is Black and female, seems quick to recommend I have a hysterectomy. I know fibroids are common in us Black women and I had expected more options. They are common in our culture but I do not personally know anyone within my circle who has them, therefore I feel a bit isolated. I am in despair to be honest. I am currently using HRT patches for menopause and they do help those symptoms. I have been seeking a video based in the UK as I'm unclear about some of the products suggested in US videos. Thank you doctor Sylvia. There are sooo many videos on fibroids but yours are the clearest and best presented I have seen. Mine are asymptomatic and have not shrunk much post menopause. Surgery and invasive treatments would be a last resort even if GPs were not under government pressure to avoid referrals. So I am going for it with natural treatments. Is matcha tea safe for fibroids?
I'm now a senior and have gone the natural way by using "Red Root" bulk and now the capsules for many years. Years ago i also used it with Chickweed....Hope that helps!

I was diagnosed with fibroids at the age of 13, went through excruciating pain for 10 years. Had them surgically removed, they grew back 2 years later. I’ve had them now for 13 years, scheduled another surgery, hospital cancelled. Now looking into another option.

Thank you for confirming this! Unfortunately, fibroids is hereditary in my family. Every female on mom’s side had/has it. I received the open surgery to have them removed a few years ago, they returned. Instead of another painful surgery, I am changing my food intake, increasing my supplements and I have already seen improvements in my fibroid symptoms.
Gosh, I can only imagine how you must feel. Fibroids can be so challenging to treat, and I hope you find some relief going forward.

@@jamaicanbabe6860 FYI, my aunts that all had fibroids all live in The United Kingdom 🇬🇧 in London. I am not sure what their daily food intake consisted of I live in the USA. As far as I know, I ate healthy and exercises but I was a heavy caffeine drinker. My doctor told me caffeine helped increase the fibroids. I completely stopped the 5 cups a day. I switched to green tea, matcha latte with oatmilk and organic teas like dandelion and red raspberry.

I'm taking birthcontrol first to try and help; while I try and adjust my diet (food control has been a life long struggle). My hope is if they show improvement, to eventually stop taking birthcontrol and stick to the diet until they're gone! I know staying on birthcontrol is bad, especially after 35.

I have had two fibroid embolism to save my uterus Because I knew if I had a myoectomy they would take my uterus because each MRI showed over 20 plus fibroids. I still want to get pregnant so I am trying vitamin D and moringa, ashwaghanda as my suppliment and use castor oil topically twice a week which help with the cramping. When I went for my second MRI it showed all the fibroids were inactive so I am trying the natural route to prevent it from coming back.

I will be checking out your playlist this is very interesting and a lot of women are concerned with this problem. I always favor natural solutions. I went vegan and opted for herbs not mentioned in this video where I found a lot of improvement.

@@folashadeawe I had a very large fibroid and some smaller ones and I was scheduled to go for surgery on the 26th of January 2023.
I started drinking my herbal tea 1st thing in the morning and last thing at night.
I cut down dramatically on Sugar and anything with sugar or that will eventually turn to sugar like rice, Irish potatoes, and olaola.
The tea is a combination of slightly boiled Tumeric, ginger and lime (morning)
Juice turmeric, ginger , lime and kale or fresh spinach ( night)
Just for 2 months and my fibroid were completely gone.
