Good to see another episode of the series, i feel like Jiji might help more newcoming players, you see, if you are scared of going after your shade(and lose your money), Jiji will summon the shade for you in that room without you having to go find it, in return of a rancid egg.
Also, after defeating Soul Master, the game's linearity is really up to you now, you can pretty much go anywhere and find what you can to progress the game.

Honestly the stumbling around during Crystal Peak was my experience the first time I played as well. Everything was going on, I was stuck in one place and I was scared. Don’t blame you for struggling with the laser bug things either, those guys suck
