I have a huge tournament (for me at least) in a couple of days, I play men's doubles and you guys have decided to make 3 videos about Mens doubles just before it. Such a great timing
Haha hope they help!! Good luck 😀😀
good luck in your game😄
Same
Me too! Love the strategy content.
How did it go Roger?
I've always been a singles player. I have been really struggling with getting the doubles rotation. This video gave me the understanding I need. Very helpful and informative❤️
wow, this is still by far the best badminton youtube channel I've ever come across with. love your vids and looking forward to next week's video
Wow this video is very timely. A few beginners just joined us in our badminton group and were eager to learn more about doubles rotation so I just told them about this video. This just helps immensely. Information-packed, I had to replay a few times to completely take in and digest each tip hehe but overall very glad you made this video. Thank youuuu!
This video is outstanding.. Worth mentioning though since you say "beginners just joined" your group.. I have heard from coaches that rotation tends to be done well at county level(i.e. regional level), and above.. But below that, it can often be better to not try it! It needs to be drilled with a coach. Really rotation is a very advanced skill.
😮

Yes!!! I have been waiting for more videos on doubles positioning. This is perfect. ❤❤
Hope it is useful for you Wilson 😊🏸
Thanks for this top quality video ! This topic is definately a ''easy to learn, hard to master'' thing. If you don't have a partner of the same level as yours or someone you play with multiple times a week, rotations are soooo difficult... I will try to apply all these advices nonetheless ! Cheers mates ❤️
Thank goodness you made this video... I was really tired of explaining to my friends about rotation!!! Now, I can just let them see this video...
good video! Aside from the rotation strategy, i think the chemistry between the 2 players is also important!
I normally dont play doubles, but these tips may come in handy when I play against my opponents in some friendly matches or against some doubles players. Thanks for another informative video 👍
this video has the most awesome tips for our doubles games!! couldn't come at the better time! Thanks Greg and Jenny~ :D
Excellent video! A lot of food for thought! Many thanks Jenny and Greg!
Amazing video I’ve sent to several of my friends already! I felt I knew several of these rotations intuitively but as always you put words to my thoughts! Thanks always❤
Thanks Nigel 😀😀
Omg I remember asking them about this and they made a whole video. I love you guys ❤
We’ll always listen 😀😀
My most needed guide video in double game, finally arrived. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I'm from the Philippines and i keep watching your videos, within this past few weeks I've been better playing thankyou☺️
Great detailed explanation for men's doubles strategy. Love it.
Your content is really top notch. I always learn something new from all of your videos. Thank you for helping us improve.
Thank you guys I’ve been needing this one 💪
Another great video, and it packs in a lot of information, so definitely one to re-watch a few times to get the most out of.
Thanks a ton.. Me and partner were playing good and hope this will help us more on court. Points like slow players should do what and how to reply with drive helped us a lot.
Awesome video!! Thank you so much for all these amazing advices since the creation of the channel 😁
I really enjoyed your how to defend vídeo it really helped and I changed my technique thank you guys!
I have a unit meet tournament of men's doubles thanks for helping us in doubles Greg and Jenny
its great what you guys are doing on your channel your really helping people improve their skills and talent in the sport myself included
Thank you so much Mark! That means a lot 😁
Hi! I'd like to ask if you have a video on doubles service hand gesture/signals? I see players do that and I think it'll help me and my partner communicate and play better. Are there universal signals or do we have to come up with some ourselves?
Thank you for these awesome videos. I am passionate about badminton, but never got training, and built up bad habits over the years that I am trying to change. These videos help or at least inspire me enough to try harder at getting better.
That’s amazing to hear, thanks! 😊
Thanks for this video. This video will help me too much in my tournament which is on 20th of December . THANK YOU
This video is a huge help for my tournament this coming december 10. Thank you for helping us.
Good luck Paul! 😀
@@BadmintonInsight Omg Thank you so muchhh
This is an amazing video. Love the advice and the clarity of it. Position is half of the points in my opinion. Gives you time to think, spot the gap or do a controlled shot. Funny with the twins, but who is that third person? Looks familiar.
Bit of a weird feeling with that last "bye" 😆
but still love you 😜
Good, I am getting so many answers from ur channel
Omg this is amazing. What I've always wanted to know. Thank you! ❤
I was in a doubles tournament yesterday, and I have more double matches today. Thanks for the information! Wish me good luck😅
Good luck! 😀
You guys are the best and you have helped me a lot
Thank you for everything
Contentful video. Lots of things to learn from this video. Superb.
these tactics and positioning videos are amazing. Love your content. Maybe you can do some followup with a few drills on how to train all those aspects you are mentioning!! that would help a lot. Thanks for your amazing work.
As we said at the end, we will do in the new year! 😀
This is one the most required videos. Way to go. My shoulder hurts a lot after playing badminton. Have you ever faced this issue? What did you do to recover from it.
Technique, general stretching/warm ups and/or string tension.
Some say string tension too high gets shoulder pain. I get shoulder pain when tension is too low, like my joint coming out of socket. I get forearm fatigue or worse case tennis elbow if tension is too high.
Check out our shoulder strengthening video from the early days of the channel! 😀
Try different racket(s) and if you are doing strength training try to slow down your reps and make them more controlled. Both of those things helped me completely eliminate not just shoulder pain but all pain.
Hello I had the same shoulder problems. Check out their shoulder strengthening exercises video, especially the one with the resistance band. You can do without the band to ease some pain if you're still feeling it. Then after you recover, continue doing them using the resistance band, it helps with the pronation and supination movements of your arm so you can prevent further injuries.
Very good.. all of these techniques are applicable to all levels of player
This helps so much because we have an upcoming tournament on december 8 😭😭 thx alot
Great video, just a question which I hope you can answer or maybe another video, how does these rotations situations apply in XD, especially in a flat lift situations for rotations 1 and for rotations 4 where there ae the situations where the guy ends up in front and attempts to kill?
Thanks
Fantastic tips as always guys, gonna definitely use these!!!
Great video release today. This type of instruction is incredibly helpful, especially to intermediate players, who need to learn this to get to the next level, and a brilliant reinforcement to old singles players like me who always wander towards the middle of the court 🤣
Glad it helped Alan 😀😀🏸🏸
if im the net player, how will i know if i should take the cross court deffence after the back player smash. sometimes i make them confuse and makes an error
You've done an amazing job on your channel guys, it's unbelievably good, well done!
Thanks Robert 😀😀
Great video as always, love you guys!
for 2:16, I play at a queuing group, my partners are randomized, how do I know which are their strengths? Thank you!
And another question, what if your partner doesn’t want to communicate with you for channel attacks? Thank you!
This tutorial is amazingg..thanks a lot..
this is an excellent overview that could easily run into a couple of hours or more if you cover nuance and details
for me the engine of rotation is the rear player wants to focus explosively forward, and the front player is keeping a wide focus
in situation 1, 'rear court player needs help', the main thing i am looking for is how well-situated my rear court partner is to handle a cross reply. main factors are how close to the tramline he is and his lateral momentum. for example, if he arrives at the left tramline under pressure, maybe i take half a step right and rearward to invite him forward if that's where he wants to go and also to signal i'm ready to take a cross reply. there is a lot of nuance to this but again, the principle is opening to him bring his energy forward and front player focused wide, cuz if you reverse that you have a guy standing at the net with nothing to do
situation 2 is an extension of situation 1 because rear court player's position is a bit forward due to a short lift, so that's a good place to bring energy forward
also, tip 2 is worth emphasizing. as i interpret it, it's taking the initiative without waiting to see what your opponents are going to do. for example, if you block and wait to see what will happen before moving forward, you've lost the initiative. you can be moving to the net even as you strike the shuttle and you can be at the net before the reply is struck. you see many examples of this in elite men's doubles, but a couple that come to mind would be the cunning lee yongdae and the whip-fast watanabe
finally, the clip on tip 5, 'be adaptable', is a good demonstration of what happens when you dont follow tip 2. @12;52 shetty blocks and moves forward, but he is not entirely committed to the net. why? because he wants to see what chia does. chia sees shetty is hedging and pops it right over his head, and you can see rankireddy preparing to make an over-the-head reply but he gives it up when he sees shetty is doubling back. that is a bad situation and would have been avoided if shetty committed fully to the net, in which case rankireddy would have had an earlier and decisive signal to cover his partner's back. at this year's denmark open mathias boe coached shetty to come forward more decisively in another match against chia/soh but then shetty did this: czcams.com/users/clipUgkx7oDlAT2F7hUUoO1EayVDJZUUkZ7SIN77
Yes finnaly this is what i lack of, really appreciate it , but it would be better if there is an advance version
Thank you, thatt was very insightful! I always stayed in front, when my partner attacks. Now I know to help him out, if he full smashes from one corner of the court!
Thanks guys, pretty accurate information. Liked it.
Great video!! Quick question, Doesn’t everything here also applies in women’s doubles or are there things different?
Yes as we said it the video they all apply to womens doubles! 😀
Could you guys please make a video on what weight training should someone do for badminton and also how often should they do it
Most needed video❤❤❤
You guys is Amazing,Thank you for all your video and the analyses 🙏🙏👍👍👍
Greg+Greg doubles is hilarious 😂
More please!
I've been needing this your the best ❤️
Hope it helps Daniel! 😀
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST !!!
Well in the previous video you guys mentioned that you will make a video that as a community what we could do to grow badminton as a sport well one small suggestion is to organise more local tournaments as it almost almost impossible to find a tournament open for anyone who wish to play as in my personal opinion competitive badminton is extreme levels of entertainment as compared to playing in a garden
Very helpful video thank you
Incredible video !!! Thank you for putting out this great content 😁
So I'm hitting the rim a lot. Most of my issues stem from a rim hit, what drills would help?
I can practice in my home, i play in a small club
Great video guys, this was a long awaited one!
Thanks! Hope it was worth waiting for 😀
Yes ofc, this little video series on doubles strategy has been great!
very useful tip in doubles , rotate and communication with your partner is very important.
Absolutely fanjubblytastic video, got a feeling I'll be rewatching this tons of times. Well done Greg and Jenny. ;)
Thanks Rob! Yes it might take a few watches do digest everything 😀🏸
@@BadmintonInsight perfect for my "doing the dishes" playlist. ;)
This is, without a doubt, the best badminton channel.
Wow that’s so kind ☺️🤩
Best video so far ☕👊
Thanks again, another good video
this helps me alot😃
This is the first video on CZcams that correctly explains rotation. Well done
Haha, thanks!
I love your vids!!!
Thank you for this madaam and sir😊
How to attack and Rotate
-pemain belakang
might possibly be the best video yet
👀👀😄😄🏸🏸
Can you make a racket review? Like unknown brands like ALP rackeg i just bought 1 it costs really cheap and it's 9U full carbon 35lbs max tension

Haha thanks!! 😀
Great videos! Do you have any plans to explain WD strategies? I found content for women (WS, WD, XD) are very rare online.
Hello guys,I'm a skinny guy and I'm struggling in generating power. Can you make a video on how to generate more power for different types of shots or from which part of our body does the power gets generated so that I can work on that.
Great videos, some feedback - please slow down the example clips... a bit too fast for our slow brains
Please post strategy for single
Good video 👍👍👍
You guys should make a double game tactic series and sell it for money 😂. This maybe the best tutorial about double games I watch
I see you guys are at NTU. Do you coach there?
Can you make a video on coming back from a big injury please
Really nice video
Thanks 😃🏸
Nice video! Could you please do a singles video🥲
i watch this video for men's double for my intramurals in my school
When to rotate (assuming attacking straight)
5:02 (For standard returns to the back) If the attack is strong but unsuccessful, front player goes back to prepare for the cross. If the attack is strong, straight and successful, front player move to the same side to channel the attack. If the attack is soft, front player stays forward for the net.
6:07 (For weak returns to the back) Back player comes in for the short lift, front player moves out of the way and preparing to intercept the cross.
7:05 (For strong return to the net) Front player is out of position, back player comes in to the middle to support and prepare to intercept the cross.
can you make a video of how to control the game and when to control😁
Nice video keep it up👍👍👍
Thanks 😀
