Have you ever had paintings that just get stuck and you can't seem to move them on? I know I have. For each series I do, there maybe a couple that seem to get stuck.
In this video I share my top tips for how to move those paintings along.
I use the example of two of my larger wild flora paintings that I am working on for Borders art fair 15-17th March. Check out my website shop for this body of work here:

In a previous video I shared how I re-imagine being back in the landscape and create 'blind' paintings. You can see that here:

A brillient analytical tool. Thank you for this Liz. Your CZcams demos are like real workshops. 🎉
Thank you so much for commenting Leila - appreciated and I’m so glad you enjoy the videos.
🎉
Glad to see you back 😊
Thank you. Seems very quiet on here- not sure how many of you are seeing the video.
Your process is always so interesting Liz. This was a terrific walk-through of how you deal with what isn't working. I sure admire your way of working.
Hi Jillayne, thank you for your feedback. That is much appreciated. I am glad that you found the video useful. I think it is all too easy to get stuck and these steps really help me in shaking things up and getting moving again.
I am amazed with the intentional work you put into your art. You inspire me! Thank you very much.
Hi Deb I’m so glad you found the video useful ! You are very welcome and thanks for commenting.
I love the tip to write down your intentions for the work. I’m not a person who makes sketches for the finished piece so this might work for me. Thanks for sharing! 😍
Hi I’m glad you found the video useful. The drawings done in the studio are never used to copy from but to explore and keep things fresh and playful. I think all these approaches can help us with the paintings and writing down intentions I find useful. The thing about writing is that it gets you thinking about the subject and clarifying what’s important. Good luck with it.
Waiting to hear when your next online workshop will be. Don't want to miss it!
Hello there -If you are on the wait list then I will notify you with the early bird offer. It’s likely to be April/May when I release it as I’ve still got quite a bit more to do. Here’s the link for you to sign up if you aren’t already: lizackerley.podia.com/your-collage-compositions

Hi Diane you are welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Great ideas! I just filled a folder of paintings that are stuck… I’m a watercolorist, and some mixed media, and your tips are helpful in this media too!
Great!- I’m so glad the video and tips are helpful!
