    Always wear that hearing protection! I started wearing hearing aids when I was 52 because I can't hear high pitches anymore and my ears are constantly ringing. I attribute it to too much time on the tractor when I was a kid with no hearing protection, shooting guns, and riding the motorcycle while listening to music on ear buds. Losing your hearing kind of sneaks up on you so when you are young and doing things that make loud noises make sure you are doing something to protect your ears. Once it's gone it never comes back.

      That is not correct, a 30/30 brake chamber has rubber diaphragm that are 30 square inches on the service brake and spring brake side of the chamber. A 30/36 is 30 on the service brake side and 36 on the spring brake side. 30/30 and 30/36 chambers come in both standard and long stroke. You can tell a long stroke by the square intake ports, trapezoid tag, or the stamping in the steel.

    As someone that uses a pump similar to those pumps, we run centrifuge product pumps on our semis to haul product water from infield tanks up here in Alberta Canada, centrifuge product pumps with a mechanical seal/ bearing on input shaft gets lubricated by water and grease, definitely run grease lines to your bearings, by going with 3 inch plumbing off discharge side will definitely slow down your gal per minute compared to if you go with 4 inch, and we are steal plumbing with a manifold system for off loading and loading, 2 butterfly valves for suction and 2 for discharge, loading is 2 open for suction, 2 closed and other way around so it’s not in a open loop, with a 1 way pto switch, truck rpm set at 800rpm and we can load and offload roughly 3 cubic metres a minute with that set up, when we had to swedge down to 3 inch it’s between 1.5 and 2m3 per minute, so would say if you can go all 4 inch system, and if you have to load from a pond or tank with no head pressure then highly recommend getting a small gear/ booey pump with isolation valves and put it in your system a head of that pump then you can close off once Banjo pump has suction, and not starve and take out banjo pump trying to get suction! Hope that helps and hopefully you guys see the comment

    Chet, your 3" lines will work ONLY IF you ues a 3x3x4 inch tee fitting. The outlet side of the tee to the pump is 4", AND there MUST be a straight section of 4" pipe at least 12 inches between the tee and inlet. And any valves in the inlet side must be "full port" ball valves, and always left fully open when running. (Closed only for maintenance.) If flow regulation is needed, a full port ball valve on the outlet side (depending on pump design) is ok. But check the manufacturer's instructions. Some pumps permit flow control via the inlet.
    There can be NO adapters so that tee must be a 3x3x4 cast (or plastic) tee. A 3x3x3 tee with a 3x4 fitting WILL NOT WORK.
    I am a former water system operator, and pump theory and proper connections was one of the many mandatory certifications I hold.

    Hey Chet, 3 inch will be fine. You’ll lose some static pressure but nothing serious because you’re literally pulling 5-10ft. Give the pump a minimum of 2 ft of 4 inch pipe so you have fully developed flow going into the pump otherwise it might mess your pump up.

  • @nicholasherman8155
    @nicholasherman8155 Před rokem

    Usually if you have chopping on both sides of an axle it’s caused by shock absorbers. If you are only experiencing chop on one hub it is in most cases because your wheelend is set up incorrectly or the bearings are actually failing. If the wheel bearings aren’t set up with the correct end play the tires on that hub will wear like garbage. Use a dial indicator to set up your end play from 2-10 thousandths. If brand new bearings I always set them up at 2 thousandths and on used bearings I like to set around 4-5 thousandths. That is with both inner and outer nuts tight.
