I love Thomas Middleditch because he’s just as awkward as Richard Hendricks, but extroverted instead.
He's not awkward he's hilarious
@@varuntheestallion he is proof that one can be both
You realize hes been on stage his whole life. He plays awkward. That doesnt mean he is that.
His parents are English? That explains the Cumberbatchian name, and face.
And the fact that he has an Improvised Shakespeare troupe.
laughed out loud at 'Cumberbatchian'
In Terry's voice
“Trying to give you a proper smile” 😂😂😂
He’s so quick.
he has been in this business for ages. he probably makes up 4 jokes per sentence of a guest and when he finds a strong one, he just bursts it out.
Eve Hawk Yup! That’s why we love Stephen Sir Colbert!
he looks like all the medieval kings of england rolled into one ethelred
😅
Living in the UK all my life. He looks really English.
so true! I mean he has two eyes, a nose...I mean it is UNCANNY!! spitting image!!!
@@RobLed No, it's more that he has a sharp Roman nose and Diamond shape face with slightly bulbous crystal blue eyes. It's a common trait in Anglo genes, from my observation.
@@AviChetriArtwork so you're saying that his father was a Woman?
Got the most out of his short time: plugged the final season, indicated that he was available for work, got a funny story in... job well done, sir...
I always look forward to Tom’s interviews, he’s such a weirdo and I’m absolutely here for it
never seen him before, he was great...googled him, turns out he's a swinger lol...the last person I would guess based on this goofy interview!
this aged.
Hilarious how they acknowledge the pre-screened interview points
Ok he needs to play Nigel Thornberry now
boy do i have some news for you
@@anonnico5475 I don't understand...
@@RandySpeer in middleditch and schwartz he plays a character named nigel
I dont think Stephen knows how to interview a young Stephen.
LOL you win the internet today.
I think he knows perfectly.
Toss out some bullet points and just let him go. lol
Just mention D&D or Tolkien and sit back for 12 hours
He has a great sense of humor. All his interviews are delightful
I love it, it's awkward and personal, he doesn't try too hard to be funny
I agree. I dont even know who he is outside of the interviews I've seen of him on Colbert yet I still watch the interviews because they're always funny.
I expected him to vomit.
Granted, but he is not even the funniest interviewee from Silicon Valley.
never seen him before, he was great...googled him, turns out he's a swinger lol...the last person I would guess based on this goofy interview!
The way he pushes his tongue forward when he does his English "Tom" is so perfect for the accent.👏👏 Talented dude, and I can only imagine he's going to put out more great stuff in the future.
He's always soooo weird during interviews!! what a breath of fresh air!!
I didn't realise how English he roots were. He does look really English for what it's worth. And his English accent is on point (said as a Londoner).
First time I have seen this chap, I assumed he was English from what he looked like in the thumbnail. Middleditch is a name that could only be English too I guess.
He's Canadian. The majority of white, English-speaking Canadians have English ancestry.
He could pass for Peter Crouch's cousin
@@MusicAngel89 thats gone over mosts heads👍
@@davehoward22 Haha true.
i found it refreshing how cool he was about nothing being currently on his plate. funny dude, hope he gets a good gig soon
He's been selling out arenas doing improv shows with Ben Schwartz

If you have Netflix DEFINITELY watch Middleditch and Schwartz. It had me laughing at a dog whistle frequency
Silicon Valley is easily one of the best shows on HBO. And this is saying something.
Oh, sod it. My very favourite phrase, as an English person I have used it in many ways. It’s a perfect phrase.😂😂😂😂
This guy is hilarious! And his English ‘Tom’ is spot on.
Hope to see him in more films he’s really a funny guy love Silicon Valley
0:54 That backwards V when he said he's "not English, but they are." XD
Tom Middleditch - the Canadian Trickster god.
I just binge watched the whole series, I'm sorry for missing it before. I have to say Thomas is the funniest man on earth.
You know it's a good actor when he is completly different in the show.
Hearing Thomas talk about veneers is one of my favorite things, I just got mine recently and seeing my teeth filed down after like 30 minutes at least of filing was TERRIFYING. wish I hadn’t looked honestly. So many people are misinformed about what veneers actually are and I think it’s cool that he talked about it
His dad was our Elementary School Principle!! lol
Principal, not principle. He wouldn't be happy with you.
Or headmaster, even.
As a person that has veneers, I can confirm they shave it to narrow pointed vampire fangs
I like this guy. I’m going to go follow him around CZcams now.
That was.... unexpected... and utterly enjoyable. Never heard of the guy before, very entertaining
I enjoyed that interview better than Jennifer Aniston's

What a cool dude
He’s so cute! I love him so much!
This guy is GORGEOUS!!!!
I love Silicon Valley and it turns out Thomas Middleditch is awesome. Really liked this interview.
The best normal English accent ever from an American actor..

He's Canadian
That sod it was on point.
He literally said 2 sentences.

dat secret handshake tho
Is he a parody combination of cumberbatch and hiddleston? I swEar!
Hiddlesbatch Middleditch.
Middleditch? Yeah, I'd say he's somewhere in-between.
Good job following Anniston - he’s funny 😁
hes a weird kind of charismatic and i love it.
I think his reaction was perfectly normal to having parts of teeth permanently removed, especially since it sounds like he hadn't really consented to it or been explained the extent of what would happen. And all because the dentist said his original teeth looked bad. Sounds like a nightmare.
i agree. veneer, or whatever that's called, is no joke - it's serious.
Thomas could give Stephen a run for his money doing improv. He's quick and funny
Thomas does improv for a living.
I love Terry💜

Omg who is this guy? He’s hilarious! I put off watching this video but I’m glad I scrolled down and watched it and he made me lol a few times. 😘
They need to do a double show with Bill Hader and Tom Middleditch. Just both of them..
EXCELLENT
:D!! These two are so good together :D
He was great as Loki.
😂😂😂
Wrong Tom 🤣
Middleditch is a medieval locational surname of Olde English origins. It derives from the words "middel" which does literally mean "the middle" and "dich" a ditch or dyke. It would seem that such a place once existed, and as such is one of an estimated five thousand "lost" locations, which have provided surnames. Curiously the name was found originally in London, recordings in other areas being quite rare. This suggests that either the original village was completely cleared which is quite likely under the 17th century Enclosure Acts, or the original "Middle Ditch" was literally in London.
There is no proof either way, except that numerous "ditches" existed in medieval London, so this is quite possible. Indeed there may well have been several such places, but if so they no longer appear to exist. What is particularly interesting about this surname is that the original church recordings show a number of spelling variations for the same family, and on at least one occasion in the same entry! In the earliest form the name (see below) appears as Middledishe, however in 1592, the same father Robert is recorded at the same church as Robert Middledich, whilst his son who was being christened appears as Robarte Myddleditche! On February 2nd 1605, Robert Midledich is recorded as being the father of Frances, and we believe this Robert to be one and the same person as in the previous recordings. A later recording was that of William Middleditch, who married Mary Marny at St Martins in the Field, Westminster, on April 4th 1809. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Ann Middledishe, which was dated July 13th 1589, christened at St Andrews Church, Holborn, London, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1, known as "Good Queen Bess" 1558 - 1603. Surnames became necessary when governments introduced personal taxation. In England this was known as Poll Tax. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling.
Well said. Linguistics is really damn interesting
I pooped.
snaketooth (I mean "Tom") is as funny IRL as he is in Silicon Valley, one of the best shows of ALL TIME.
Toms imitation of dad’s English accent is hilarious! Sounds just like my kids making fun of their father!
My husband’s favorite... “bloody hell!” Which I didn’t know was really bad until I said it in front of my mother in-law!! 🤭
Kimberley Searching It’s not so bad. Your mother in law clearly has some high standards when it comes to swearing (even when it’s not REALLY swearing) 🤣
I want a Marty Feldman bio-pic starring this guy!
I want a gif of Tom at 1:12 hahaha too funny
did anyone else see a tag in his sleeve? HAHA anyways i love thomas middleditch cant wait for more long form improvs with ben schwartz !!
Kill it in Ep. 1; w/the Congressional Hearing Speech.
Kill it in the limited interview as well!!
Congrats.
Colbert looks like he is really enjoying the interview.
My dentist says “Hey man- uhh don’t look in the mirror... “ and then he left
So anxiety is an issue🤷🏻♀️😂😂😂💁🏻♀️

Sweet baby Je$us
He was great in the new Zombieland ^^ can't wait for Silicon Valley!
That was a great mad max joke!
addicted to Thomas Middleditch and Ben Schwartz videos at this point
Did they blip Jesus? Lol amazing
I lost a perfectly healthy tooth (upper canine) to a bridge. I was pissed when I found out that my entire tooth had been decimated to allow for this bridge. Crying in chair? Oh yes I did. Cannot wait to see this season - SV is the best nerd show yet.
I can totally relate. Dentist did not inform me of what was going to happen in the slightest. I have 4 veneers (genetically bad teeth) and they did not tell me that I would be wearing fakes, all stuck together, for more than a week. Nor did they tell me about the fangs! Love Tom Middleditch for his humor and honesty!
It took me a good 10 minutes of head scratching before I finally realized why Jon Baptiste and Stay Human's intro music was so familiar : it's a great version of "Tempted" by Squeeze.
Omg I have veneers. I totally can relate to this story. It’s so true 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Love his early Snapchat stories
Did they really play "Tempted" as his walkout song?!? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why?
What's been goin' on?
He went full Richard mode there
Did they just censor the word “Jesus” ?
That's Murrica
they frigging did, Jesus
Jesus Christ would be furious to know that you can't even say his name on the magic box show
YOU CAN'T UTTER THE NAME OF OUR SACRED PROPHET!

i would've cried too if I didn't know how veneers were done haha

"How am I gonna meet girls now?!?" Yeah...
For the small bit he was in zombieland 2 it was hilarious

He was funny as, "Tommy", in the Rick and Morty episode, "The ABCs of Beth".
