Almost all of them seem to know each other, most have had to work hard for everything they have; and then there's Milo, who loves Atlantis and that was apparently sufficient for a $1 billion expedition that cost 90% of the crew their lives before they even reached the front door. I'm also willing to bet they were told not to get attached in case he resisted once their real mission started.

In the event of an engine failure of the main submarine, or any other extraneous variables, a hot air balloon would be extremely useful as a method of attracting help and/or attention for the mission. If something cocks up before they reach Atlantis, then it's a call for help. If they deploy it after arrival, it can be used as a way to more quickly transport items of extreme value.

Milo isn't the only person that can read the journal. He's just the only one being kept in the dark to be their best actor to buy entrance to the Atlantis and sweet talk Atlanteans into telling them where the crystal is (which turns out wasn't needed, further hinting that Rourke can decipher ancient symbols just fine without Milo). Kida went along with him was just a bit weird, but this is a magic crystal we're talking about and you can pull out theories for days about why she's not fighting back. But the rest of the plot holes are pretty clear cut.

I love Atlantis and Treasure Planet so much!
The last real Movie I watched before my Anxiety was to high to go to the cinemas was actually Treasure Planet, so it holds a special place in my heart. I watched it in an old 70th cinema and it was like a cinema dream. We were the only one watching it and urgh... best day of my life!

One would expect that, when granted infinite or near-infinite power, a human mind would need a considerable amount of time to sift through the input of 71,000 new senses and 11 extra spatial dimensions. Also, if we talk regular biology, having enough energy to create virtually impenetrable constructs of hard light flowing through you would likely overload your brain and possibly knock you out.

I'm super happy that you did this video. I'd personally draw attention to "The Road to El Dorado" and "Treasure Planet" too. They're all gems that were overshadowed by the newer styles (especially after Toy Story, Monsters Inc, A Bug's Life, Antz, Shrek, Corpse Bride etc)
