5 Assassin's Creed Storylines That Were FORGOTTEN

- What I want to do in this video is go over 5 Assassin's Creed Storylines That Were Simply just forgotten or abandoned. The series has been around for 17 years.. It’s a crazy number right? What's even more baffling is that we have upcoming games that we know of, including Assassin's Creed Red, Hexe, Infinity, some remakes, and a few more. Because of this, it's likely that Ubisoft has either forgotten or completely dropped some storylines in past games.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

Ubisoft are so frustrating because they get you so invested with good writing and the pay off is never there
They need to stay focused with their established story lines instead of coming with new lore bs that even fans struggle to keep up with.
yes, this so much... I saw three pillars guy talk about how they are reinventing the wheel all the time even when absolutely not neccessary...
@@ClaseyMeanAh might just be me but I think AC3 is one of the most unsatisfying games I’ve ever played. They set it up as an epic that spans multiple decades but the only time I ever rooted for Conor was killing Lee, and then it turns out Lee didn’t even order the attack on his village. It’s it’s annoying because the map gameplay and characters are great but the story just isn’t there
Or they put the "pay off" somewhere else.looking at you AC comics.
Revelations had a wholesome ending
The fact that the plot of Unity wasn’t Arno hunting down Shay is baffling to me, like ffs do you really expect me to believe Arno never even wondered which Templar killed his father?
This could’ve literally been a detective Assassin’s Creed game
It's even more baffling to me that the assassin's in unity and syndicate are protecting the royals and nobles, the assassins should be the ones aiding the french revolution and killing the royals with the working class, unity started a complete misunderstanding of the brotherhood
Even if he did wonder, the trail most likely would have gone cold at the time he could do anything about it.
The reason why in Unity there's nothing about Arno tracking down the killer of his father is because the entire story of Unity was already locked into place, and the performances and everything done, even before development of Rogue began. Ubisoft wanted to release a new Xbox 360 and PS3 Assassin's Creed game for those who hadn't yet upgraded to Xbox One or PS4, and so they came up with Rogue, and shoehorned Shay as the killer of Arno's father so they could cross promote both Rogue and Unity. This is why we never see Shay killing Arno's father in Unity - the character of Shay hadn't even been created yet.
@@RodZombie Thank you. For once someone brings up a reasonable and logical explanation based on the development cycles of the games and not some convoluted story explanation like "the trail had gone cold" - this is FICTION, you could invent anything to shoehorn a revenge quest no one would bat an eye...
Another honorable mention is the "hidden twelve" Juno mentions sometime during AC Unity. According to Darby McDevitt, this is a scrapped plot point for Origins, where the twelve member of the Order of the Ancients wore masks that should have stored the memories of different Isus.
That would've been cool! A reason for the gold brick legendary stuff
*OMG i remembeeeer*
I was so hyped thinking it ment Juno's mind was fragmented and she was trying to recover her power from other Isu Vaults around the world and we'd get to fight her in her Prime in a future game 😩
Remember the ending of Brotherhood, when Juno says "Find the sixth," "She lies not within our sight," and "She will walk with you through the gate"? Oh, and subject 16's monologue from the end of his secret. when he says "The sun... your son"
It could have been possible that there might have been DLC that Arno would have hunt his father’s murderer set for Unity, but they probably abandoned it after the horrible fallout of the game.
I wish they continued the Thomas de Carneillon storyline since he is heavily underated and overlooked and ubisoft simply abondend him
Great mention. I always wondered what happened to him after that prologue to Unity. The Templar Jacques de Molay has a tie in to Unity's story a couple times with Germain but Thomas de Carneillon's only tie in are his robes we can acquire.
@@ConnorWiederich-hr4zuyeah, i wish we got an explanation but it is what it is.
@@ConnorWiederich-hr4zu I think that time period is referred to or close to the Animus setting in the novel Assassin’s Creed Heresy, released 2016 based on the references to the movie and other expanded universe media (and features Victoria Bibeau, who’d appear in Odyssey).
Tbh, in hindsight, even in the Pirate era, the Observatory's usefulness is hevaily overestimated:
- You need to have sampled blood
- Stored in supply limited encasings
- You can only see what happens at the moment you watch
- You can only watch one at the time
The use you can make of such a device is... Well...
If the Observatory had special hidden functionalities, I could understand, but as we know it, it's a piece of technology that borders HEAVILY on witchcraft and which use is easily replaced by a spy, or in modern days a camera, or satellite
The one advantage is presumably that, as opposed to a spy or camera, the observation can not be detected by any means, and over satellites that it gets closer and into any room. Potentially very useful, but very very limited use.
In the modern area the observatory isn't the real price, the blood samples are. Since the new Animus only needs DNA from a person and not a living relative, we are looking at a vast data bank if the samples are intact enough. It could have a huge potential.
@@Bronzescorpion Ah, I see. This makes more sense, thanks for that.
Though... Considering the place was already emptied before Roberts and Edward get in, it's still a phantom price...
Well, at that time, such a device would have been absolutely unheard of and nearly priceless to have access to for the simple fact that nothing of the sort would exist for several hundred years. Imagine if the British or Spanish got ahold of that. They could demand all of their citizens have a blood sample taken of them.
Torres himself was once the governor of Cuba and had ties to very wealthy Spanish and British Templar aristocrats.
💀 fr lol
I guess it could be useful if you had ISU blood to use some triple helix DNA
As an Irishman, I would SOOOO want to play the Hell in Hiberia helix game. Just to experience the Irish War of Independence in game would be a nice little treat.
i want Hell in Hibernia so bad.
IRA assassins against the British Crown they just endeared themselves to in Syndicate? and templars stirring further division between protestant and catholic sects while perverting ideological things like the "Protestant work ethic" as means of social manipulation and control of the north irish british loyalists? yes please. or hell go the other way and make the IRA the Templars trying to destabilize the now Assassin allied Crown in England by creating strife in ireland and calling into question the government's ability to control the irish population, and thereby implying an inability to manage england's extended holdings and colonies.
time period is too far apart to have the frye twin's make an appearance, but it would likely be fairly immediately after their deaths, assuming they lived out their lives and died naturally, so there could be reference to them to build on their game lore, or possibly an introduction of evie's son/daughter as a british contact for whichever side of it the Assassin's are framed as.
Irish rebel music?
a chance to witness/be involved in the Easter Uprising?
fight back against the Black and Tans?
The neighborhood's residents banging trashcan lids to warn people to get indoors as a group of soldiers roll through on vehicles, breaking your crowd blend ability and exposing you?
the artifact maguffin could be brian boru's harp, or a mythical weapon from irish myth like the Sword of Nuada or the Spear of Cuchulain.
New hidden blade mechanics they could add...well the armalite rifle and the 1911 pistol have been developed and popularized, so we could probably make the old hidden gun into a multishot derringer, basically have all of edward's flintlock rounds mounted right to your wrist. silencers/suppressors have been invented at this point too if i remember correctly, so maybe later in game you can suppress the shots.
since they'll likely be less to climb, the grappling lines like jacob and evie had will be less useful to movement, so either remove them and go back to something like the hookblade, or have our irish assassin use it more creatively in combat to hook and entangle, or ambush tactics, like stretching it between two trees across a road to clothesline a soldier sitting atop a vehicle or riding a horse. OH, if it can detach from your wrist and achor at both ends, you could stretch it between the trees and clothesline the whole vehicle, causing them to run into the chain/wire and follow its angle back to one of the trees and crash into the tree, either killing or severely disorienting the npcs.
HELL, YES. 1000% on board with this, an Assassin's Creed in that setting would be high octane madness, if done right.
when we first got the teaser trailer for syndicate, focusing on jacob, i knew it was gonna be england, but i thought for a second we might get an irish oppression subplot that could have touched on it and been interesting. but then more came out and it was clear that wasn't gonna be the direction.
most of the helix ideas sounded cool, but that one jumped out at me as having serious potential, as well.
The whole adam and eve plot kinda fell to the wayside after ac brotherhood
Many of those plots were actually continued in comics. Probably everytime Ubisoft changes their narrative focus in this franchise, what was started gets an ending in a comic or book.
Fun facts: Desmond has a son. We've never seen a sage again because it's over, they've managed to stop his reencarnation process (might be wrong in this one, don't quite remember it). For a long time, the plotline of "bringing a ISU back to life" was the main thing Abstergo was doing, what is funny is that Loki came back all by himself lol.
On one hand it's cool that they finished the stories, but it's also frustrating that they finished them in comics.
If they decide to make comics it should be a supplemental story, and the main story should resolve in the main games.
The only constant is change. Or, Lori, really. Causing mischief and having the snot beaten out of him for eternity.
@@nobodyfamousXor at least include those comics inside the games
Well two sages were alive at the same time, John Standish and Elijah (Desmond's son) so I don't know about the sage thing being stopped as it's more likely there are multiple reincarnations of him all around. However Elijah did successfully dominate and push Aita's pysche down in his mind and gained all the knowledge without losing himself. This was due to Elijah inheriting Desmond's high concentration of Isu DNA. As is known besides sages Desmond was the only human with the highest concentration of Isu DNA, thus Elijah as his son inherited that as well as what he got from Aita.
that Jazz Age Junkies one would probably take place in the USA, during the Prohibition. Al Capone and all. Could've been interesting.
1. It would be nice if this idea came true in Infinite.
2. There is probably a problem of how to combine these stories so that they make some sense not only in the games, but also in the books.
3. The famous problem of creating another story.
4. As far as I know, Project Phoenix was related to the revival of Juno.
There's also Adam and Eve.
We saw them escape from "the garden" in AC2 with the subject 16 puzzle files, then in brother we talked to 16 and he said find Eve, there was also Juno talking about Eve and then in AC3 Shaun talked to Desmond about seeing how far back they can look seeing if Desmond could live the life of Adam or Eve.
In all honesty, I would've just prefer the first civilization just stay as a mysterious race that had some tech left behind so the games could still stay somewhat grounded like in the beginning. Because jesus, they really went full fantasy and I was wondering how are they going to explain medusa's and other giant deers and dragons.
@@atomic747 I agree I would have liked that or have Medusa be a woman being controlled by a piece of Eden and everyone else that sees it is seeing a illusion. Same with the other monsters having a realistic reason for it that just went mythical over time. But still having Adam and Eve in AC games would have been interesting like they are the prototypes for us and with them the templars could control everything and we need to go through time/history to find them in modern day.
Im happy with unity's ending, but that was before i played rouge, when i reached the ending i was like "wait a second, i know that kid !," after the ending i wondered how fun would it be if arno were to hunt shay as the main plot of unity's story 😅😅
When the AC Infinity Hub was announced the first thing I thought was the helix games screen.
Life imitates art
Me too 😅
Personally the idea of Arno hunting down Shay feels a bit too much like what's been done before with Conor and Ezio. There is also the problem of it pitting two main characters of full games against each other and having to decide who actually is better between htem.
My issue is at that point Shay had a kid, so Arno killing Shay would’ve propagated a cycle of revenge. Shay kills Arno’s father, Arno kills Shay, Shay’s kid kills Arno and the cycle goes on so ultimately it would be pointless. I’d personally like a follow up game with Shay to see how he ran the Templar order assuming he became grandmaster
Ubisoft should have made the last three helix games that were shown in ac unity would have loved to see those games but if they make those games in the near future then colour me surprised
This is always why you have people that love the show/comic/ video game write the shows if they don’t care for it then they ruin everything
We need these dlcs that they are forgotten at unity's, is so unfair
While I would’ve like to have seen a storyline of Arno hunting down Shay for revenge as a better story, the major problem is that it would be a repetitive story. We’ve already gotten a story about revenge with Ezio and repeating it with Unity might make the more pompous critics more upset.
The Observatory is actually mentioned a little in AC Syndicate in the World War 1 segment by Juno.
Having Juno's conclusion in the comics is just a straight slap in the face and feels like Desmond's death was for nothing. I wish they never killed him off and I also hope they can put more focus on the modern day storylines again
this man literally makes THE BEST VIDEOS EVER!!! YOUR MY FAVORITE ASSASSIN'S CREED CZcamsR!!!
Thank you kind sir!
The 1920s Jazz would’ve been cool think about all the world events starting in that era.
I like shao Jins story on how she lived around the assassins creed Russia times and she isn’t immortal but it’s just her in someone else’s body
The Observatory was caved in by an earthquake after the events of Black Flag. The purpose of the modern storyline of Black Flag is for Abstergo to learn the location of the Observatory so they could get the vials of Isu blood for Project Phoenix, or use the blood of a Sage to find another Sage elsewhere in the world so they could harvest their Isu DNA, but the story of the Observatory didn’t go anywhere because after the Assassins took over the land around it after Black Flag, the earthquake eventually destroyed it and it became useless to Abstergo in the modern day.
The whole Adam and Eve thing never got follow up after Liberation. Overall, Liberation’s ending being subject to reinterpretation depending on the Abstergo or Erudito placed ending was used just for this game when it could have made for an interesting take on history being written by the winning side, not to mention the only time Erudito were key to the plot in a game (which tied in more with the online Initiates feature iirc, and the wider expanded media).
I think the templars took control of it in the end. The tv system that abstergo made was able to monitor people which I think was mentioned in black flag. I reckon they studies the observatory and found a way to scale it down and use it for their own gain. Another great video bro good job 👏 👍
I'm probably one of the very few people who think that having a modern day protagonist and story should've stayed as part of Assassin's Creed formula. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed seeing the modern story seen from different perspectives and we do get that modern day protagonist in Origins and Odyssey with Layla. But other than that, it made it frustrating to follow the modern day story and events. Like not knowing what happened to Juno, or Minerva, or any of the Isus that we were introduced to early on. When we were with Desmond, it was easier to follow the story both from the past and present. To me, they need to go back to keeping a main protagonist like what they did with Desmond so we, as the consumer and audience, can have a better chance of following the stories
And yeah, between arno and shay it was so cool to see their fighting
-The tech of the observatory could've been used to enhance the Abstergo sattelite that was due to be launched during the Desmond arc. Said sattelite launch failed during the solar storm of 2012.
-The "precursor box" is, essentially, the very first Animus. Used to bestow a person with prior knowledge/memories of their ancestors, or downright surplant them. Look how it embedded Shao Jun onto Anastasia Romanov in AC russia.
-I had this idea that even the "modern day" is a layer of the Animus, viewed by people in the distant future. To them, "modern day" are the ancient memories they intend to relive. Not to fight a conflict in their "present", but to learn about their violent past from a more peacefull time.
The Hidden One, This made me laugh so much! Thanks for sharing!
The precursor boxes were in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, too. In the game’s Fate of Atlantis DLC, the precursor boxes can be interacted with by Alexios/Kassandra, and they grant Isu Knowledge, a main part of the main quest line of the DLC.
ehh a simulation doesn't count, the one in rogue/freedom cry/chronicles were key for the actual main story
Technically... thanks to Valhalla, ANY ISU can now be reincarnated so... the storyline wasn't 100% lost.
So I remember Assassin's Creed 3 set Juno free, and then dialogue in Odyssey said Juno was taken out, wait what. Apparently they did it in a comic book, as this vid mentions
Reading novels and comics to understand what's going on isn't limited to Assassin's Creed, but it does seem to be an odd trend lol 🤪
I got the Ezio Collection, Assassin's Creed 3 with Liberation, Black Flag, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla on PlayStation. I'm still on Odyssey and I'm not ready for Valhalla yet. The original isn't available and my old 360 got Red Dead Ring. Ubisoft should either port/remaster/remake the original, or PlayStation should start allowing backwards compatibility with PS3 games. Like Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the original has Kristen Bell 😍 too, does that mean nothing 😮
@thehiddenone can you please tell me the name of the transition song at 0:38? Please man I’ve been looking everywhere past 2 days would be a huge help also love all of your creative content
I gotchu. The song is czcams.com/video/rpMvf4Gdn-4/video.html&ab_channel=WeeFreeMusic
@@TheHiddenOne690 you’re the best!thanks for seeing my comment despite me leaving out the full handle. Make your day a great one!
Assassins putting the Observatory out of use is a similar goal to the modern day Assassins in Unity, if it’s too dangerous in Abstergo/Templar hands they can’t get their hands on it. Arno hiding Saint Germain’s skull in the catacombs is like the Assassins putting the Observatory out of commission, taking a threat off the table.
Few things:
First time I played Black Flag I thought the purpose behind exploring Edward's memories was so Abstergo could find the Observatory but apparently that wasn't the case. I really wish the modern day had a purpose in that game like in the Desmond modern day storyline.
I always wondered what happened to the precursor box after Shay reclaimed it. I'm interested to see it in the Chronicles games.
And I agree with the votes about Unity's story being better with Arno going after Shay over the story we got. I get no one saw Shay at the Palace with how subtle he was and that Shay was around 37 years older than Arno and probably in his 60s in Unity but still Arno never even questioned how his father died and Shay would have made for a better antagonist, or supposed antagonist, than Germain who is forgettable. If there is one thing about Unity I would change it's that.
the indian assassin in the chronicle games tracks the box down and years after he has child, henry green from syndicate ( there’s more to the story obviously lol)
@@jit1709 I believe there is a code players can crack in the chronicles games that includes the box.
Awesome video bro 😅
-Abstergo's original plan of putting apples of eden on satelites and launch them to space in order to create a global mind control network
-Abstergo having the location of dozens of Apples of Eden and several other pieces of Eden
-The whole idea of Assassin's and Templars working together that was leading to them joining forces to fight Juno... but since that was resolved in a comic, the idea has not been mentioned again
-Juno making Desmond kill Lucy and telling him he needs to find Eve, who was an important piece of AC Liberation's storyline... and was never mentioned again
when was eve mention in liberation's? I actually don't remember. I thought the point of that game was that you were seeing how amazing the templars but then realize it was just a hoax and the hacker showed you the real truth.
Having Shay as the main enemy in Unity would have been so interesting. Like he would have been a master templar in Paris and we had this personal connection through his old game
I had No idea the Juno plot was resolved until now
Jazz age Junkies does sound interesting
These dismissed stories break my heart the most 😢
Aita did appear in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Fate of Atlantis DLC as well as Juno. Sure, it’s further back in time, but gives more info on what they called Project Olympos, which seems to be like Project Phoenix.
Recently I wondered what Connor was doing during the events after the American Revolution. Such as the whisky and Shay’s rebellion.
Or better yet the war of 1812.
There is just so much potential and history that isn’t explored.
Ok but Fear and Loathing in Florence is an awesome reference
for Arno hunting shay thing, it doesn't need to happen, because that's literally just not just his story.
his story is all about revenge, failure, and learning to move on from the past.
It's not important that shay killed his father, what is important is that Arno feels responsible for his father dying, which further makes his failure to save monseiur de la serre much harder. it made him want to not fail anyone anymore, not let his loved ones die. which made him make mistakes like killing the wrong Templar Leader.
He was the one who learned that he needs to let vengeance go, with mistake after mistake, while Elise refused to do so. all Arno wants isn't to get revenge (by killing Germain), it's to save the ones he loved (by saving Elise and trying to convince her to stop chasing vengeance.).
the entire message of Unity is that revenge only brings more death. you have to let it go before it either brings your enemy's death or your own. and for the story to instead focus on Arno's revenge on Shay and giving a PRO-REVENGE story is just a much cheaper story overall.
I think one more things should be mentione lady eve who really was mentioned in ac unity: Dead Kings as someone who knows about fragments of Eden and tries to Get them but later on this story was forgotten
the bad guy from Watchdogs 2 should have been a reincarnation of Aita. Blume having been a plot to create massive world infrastructure for Juno's takeover would have been an epic revelation.
also, the way they destroyed the interactive map with timeline that was Assassin's Creed Iniciates website. it was the greatest resource ever created for a fandom. it offered daily and weekly updates of all the in-time lore events taking place in the universe in-between game releases. these were presented as in-game surveillance of the assassins and templars by a third party.
also, they abandoned the HUGE storytelling opportunities they had with the bleeding effect hallucinations and memory disks.
also, they ruined Daniel Cross' death. he died suddenly and they cut his last tragic words. they showed no respect.
The Precursor Box did appear one more time in Chronicles: Russia
I mean in valhalla the templars themselves are essentially a side quest, if you can drop the original antagonists of the series of course you can drop random objects and storylines
To be honest shay went dark so trying to find him would be finding a needle in the ocean
what stotyline do you think should be explored again?
Remember all those blood samples at the Observatory ? Now that we know more Isus in AC games such as Bassim/Loki, it would be interesting for Abstergo to check them using an enhanced version of this machine with the cloned precursor from Unity
I still cannot believe they killed of Juno in a god dame comic
Everything from the end of Brotherhood, pretty much
We did see Juno and Aita in Odyssey. Their story is over. Besides the point of the Loki/Aletheia story is that they did the same, but they succeeded. That is the heart of the current story of AC. What Juno failed, Aletheia and Loki succeded. Loki is walking around, now it is time for Aletheia too. The box was a map. The map is pointless now, nearly all temples are found. The story, if you REALLY think about, is pretty solid so far.
Unpopular opinion perhaps...
But I think it would be interesting for the rpg style of gameplay to always feature templars as it's protagonist and the original gameplay style to always feature an assassin as it's protagonist, that way your always getting 2 narratives of the story and also two genres styles. (However I'm not opposed for swapping templars and assassin's back and forth)
We need a game where Thomas De Carneillon is the main protagonist!
I think it's official that the Prowler outfit/set in AC Unity is the most loved
Really wish Ubisoft had abandoned the entire Valhalla storyline. That game almost killed my love of the franchise
You could make a podcast series of incredible unique ideas that assassin's creed creators made that ubisoft stepped on
I think Blume discovered the remains of the observatory because how us ctOS so advanced in 2013 the year the first watch dogs game canonically takes place in
I don't see how it would even be useful for Blume, in the development of the CTOS system.
Most of these omissions can be explained simply by ubisoft's abandonment of the meta story game after game
Rank the assassins creed soundtrack
the three in Helix aew just ideas to explain what Helix is (which Helix is the upcoming Infinity service). Arno and Shay is a fan idea of mine when Shay, Arno and Connor meet up.
The hole ending of AC Liberations with the Eve bloodline thing is another storyline that is not explored anywhere in the games
AC is about ISU and abstergo is just trying to find all ancient stuff.
Agreed, so much wasted good material
For the Arno hunting Shay another theory that other videos talk about is that well AC rogue is a prequel to AC Unity AC rogue came out later then AC Unity so technically Shay as a character did not exist yet
The observatory isn't really important in the modern period, but all the blood samples were, given how the new Animus work. Since you don't need a living an relative anymore, you are looking at a vast databank if the samples are intact enough.
There really isn't more to it.
i think ubisoft is just anti irish like notice that the only irish assassin is shay but hopefully ubisoft get their shit together and give us the ireland ac that we deserve
Interesting fact, Juno introducing the player to the 20th century missions in Syndicate is the first time the games use the term Isu. So maybe Juno is tracking history through her husband’s reincarnations.
love thees videos im number two
AC hasn't been good in a long, long, long time. It can't keep it's narrative straight and it can't even end stories satisfyingly and conclusively. AC in the hands of Ubisoft is a travesty.
the shroud of eden was kind of the biggest deal that just stopped
What about that whole thing with subject 16 (or was it 19? I forget 😅) and Desmond? In Revelations where he says "the sun. Your sun. Find Eve." That was cryptic and went absolutely nowhere.
Well Desmond find Eve at the end valhalla
In my honest opinion, I think Arno hunting down shay would be a great idea, then a half-flushed-out love story. Half the characters in the creed wanted revenge; just look at Ezio and Bayek. The Bayek story has to be the most compelling and sympathetic yet enjoyable storyline in the assassin Creed timeline. Don't get me wrong, Arno was a good character, but I wish they could flush him out more. Spoiler alert: I mean, he became a master assassin at the end of unity. I mean, just imagine the DLC of Arno hunting down Shay, then meeting Connor. Speaking of Connor, What happened to him after Assassin Creed 3? Another plot hole. Shay was introduced in unity for a reason. Not just feeling in an evil role. Unity made references to Connor and Shay, wanting the stories to go hand in hand, but Ubisoft dropped the bomb.
They abandoned the seasonal festivals in Valhalla 😢
what music is playing on the background?
Theres a lot of soundtracks in this video. Any specific timestamp?
Does anyone know what happened to all of the Isu blood from the observatory in ac4?
tbh i don't mind ubisoft comeback do a small story content of arno hunting down shay just as side story of him maybe traveling to the United States get in contact with Connor or whatnot investigating Shay's Templar Group in USA.
You forgot the Watch Dogs crossover
This is not a forgotten storyline but I do want see the modern day assassins lose at some point, there have been only close calls, to my knowledge, but the modern day brotherhood always comes out on top. I'd like to see that not be the case at some point especially now that Ubisoft seems to be reintegrating a modern day story line.
I don't remember much, But I could've sworn they been on the losing side.
wow are we not going to mention the end of BF4 and the bombshell that there is an entire other bloodline from Edward besides the one we know and love. NO OTHER DROPPED STORYLINE MATTERS, from that point forward. we have never ever mentioned it again in AC games. for the record I do not count books/comics as AC canon regardless if they do or not. if its not in a game, its not canon.
I can think of 2 storylines, Subject 16 and Adam and eve....
These stories are basically forgotten, each game has a writer with no right direction. After AC3 the storyline became lame. People can hate the modern day storyline as much as they want but it is the main story, shame Ubisoft did not know how to handle it.
Shy must die by Arno's hand
AC's lore and plot has been so thoroughly fucked that it doesn't matter anymore.
specking of the IRA according to the You Tuber Irish Demon his grandmother use to carry around a Live Hand grenade in those turbulent times lol, would be fracking hilarious if when they did that game the assassin met a woman who offered him a grenade from her purses but the player doesn't have a chance to take it.
Wonder how an old west AC would work
Im so early good vid
This really showcases that it might just be time to shelve Assassin's Creed for good. 17 years after the first game, the creators of the current games have forgotten the plot and failed to develop it in any meaningful way beyond the morally gray Assassin vs Templar war. The Isu have been abandoned all together, major characters thrown aside to comics that most fans either don't know about or don't acknowledge, and the modern day story has been inconsistently appearing after AC3.
What started as a historical fiction franchise that focused on conspiracy and supernatural prehistory has just devolved into an action RPG franchise that gives you one main character with superpowers in some random historical setting. The franchise's roots have been torn away, leaving us with scraps. Even Mirage, with was claimed to be a "return to the roots" had the fanbase arguing over teleportation in a complete filler game, and the modern day storyline won't even be featured in future games.
It's time to pack it up and let go, Ubisoft.

Soon to be explained in future interviews or instances
By listening to this album, you are literally
And I cannot stress this enough
Literally
Entering my mind
And if you are not willing to accept my emotion
And hear my words fully
Do not listen
I do not value your money
I value your acceptance and loyalty
Here is my pain and thoughts put into words
I put my all into this
In the hopes that it will help cure
Or at least numb your depression
I love you
Thank you for listening
Enjoy
I agree that hyperbolically, the relationship between Arno and Shay is one of the biggest wasted potential by Ubisoft. If I could remake or at least make an expansion, there's no tolerance, it has to be an expansion lol, I would make Arno, which initially tracks the death of his father and then 'moves' to Shay's region, track in the style of a typical AC game, starting from the root to the top, then meeting Shay. It's up to Ubisoft's decision to do with the ending compared to the Dead Kings DLC. It could be equivalent to Ubisoft's approach to AC Valhalla with Mirage but not quite like Mirage, which is stand-alone.
But in my opinion, if Unity focuses more on hunting down Shay, the Unity setting will be wasted, which should have a pro-authoritarian boss fight that matches the French Revolution which is AC Unity now. In my opinion, Unity with its French Revolution, internal Templar conflict, and Arno-Elise's Romeo and Juliet don't matter, but at least give justice to Arno's father who just died for the sake of the plot lol.
The Napoleonic Wars setting Arno Hunting down shay
No one knew Shay killed Charles and based off what we saw no one knew Shay was in France(except Benjamin Franklin who was oblivious to the Assassin vs Templar plot) and to add on Shay didn’t leave any evidence behind to prove he killed Charles
@@SmokeySmoke76 That's precisely where the waste lies. Leave no evidence, this should be expandable. Logically, it's true that Shay plays 'very neatly' and Arno was very young. The connectivity between the characters that I mean is completely wasted. Let's say, Shay didn't leave any traces at all, clean from the crime scene when forensics haven't been found yet, kidding :). Maybe Arno can trace the order, all the way up to the old Shay. We as players choose whether to kill Shay or not. But despite my wish, Arno's melancholy character during his time at Unity has closed off the potential of this story. Good point dude.
I just really want Arno to hunt Shay
Just saying this before watching, yeah they pretty much scrapped anything that had to do with Juno. (Now let’s see if I’m right)
maybe some day we'll get an AC set during the American Civil War
any one remember the theme used in The Observatory in the video
