Jerma was like "I hate losing my powers!" my brother in christ you ignored the permanent upgrade system. Amazing stream, my frustration was immeasurable
He would collect the ingredients for the upgrades, keep them all in his inventory, and then just never complete the recipe for some reason. Then he would complain about his inventory being full. The machinations of his mind are truly a mystery

I also love how he just save scums everytime 1 or 2 of them die half the time instead of just looking for new ones which are literally everywhere in this game. lol
Jerma rushes the game, save scumming and skipping upgrades, and then complains when the game is hard. God I love him.

In the first stream his complete inability to pay attention to anything happening was really apparent. This game might just be a little too much for an ADHD Andy.
the ending is so funny because it calls back to jerma not remembering any of their names then trying to act like he does with vogrou

Jerma really made his own troubles in the endgame. Because he save scummed he had way too many trebum and he just kept doing it, when it's best to just have a few so you can actually keep track of which powers are where and you don't need to collect so many items when they get reset by the light. He's like a dad taking an entire classroom on a camping trip, it's impossible for things not to go wrong, shouldve just went with your 3 children
he had a remarkable strategy of not using the permanent upgrade system, not letting the game regulate how many trebhum he had, and also being REALLY PISSED the entire time
@@gremlinman9724 he also didn't double up on items. He could've just had every important power in item form, so he can regain it after the light purges it. The light takes powers but not items
Or leave the other children to fight the wilderness on their own, just like the game
the fact that gunu got rolled over twice in a row by the cylinder was absolute comedic genius

This game unironically seems so fucking good. I thought it'd be a goofy little spore-like but it's actually a masterpiece
I feel like it would be so much better without the narrator. Or maybe just a mode without him. So you explore this world and try to figure out what the hell is going on. But the narrator spoonfeeding you all the information makes the game too simple and linear.
@@TheMarkoSeke I loved the narrator, he was super charming and made the game seem like a storybook, but he def should've explained things that needed more explaining instead of just telling you what to do
@Marko Btw I would've been lost in the first 15 minutes of the first cheltie vid and not continued watching these episodes had the narrator not explained everything he did even with the info he does give I'm still only halfway sure I know what is going on lol
@@TheMarkoSeke nah man I love the narrator, I would've been so lost and definitely wouldn't have cared about the story as much. Also he has a nice voice that chills me out.

I really like the Narrator, it's like one of those old cartoons like Dr. Suess or something. He helps me understand what exactly is going on. Not everything has to be like dark souls and you've gotta look at every little detail to understand the plot.
Sometimes kid coloring book style is nice.
I was worried at first it might go into biomutant territory but the guy actually did a good job as well as whoever wrote his lines.
Also because his lines aren't shit like "your pop-pop and mooma died in a violent village raid and now you have to save the land from an apocalypse by befriending the weeble-beebles"
I was actually a little excited for it to come out ;-;

i think its a shame that the game is so opaque that they cant trust the audience to know what they're looking at or what they're supposed to feel when looking at it or what they're supposed to do with what they're looking at or why they're supposed to do that to the thing they're looking at without being told by the narrator before they've even looked at it themselves, half the time the narrations just gravel on a dirt road fulla holes yknow?
@@Crosshill It's because their previous games like Zeno Clash were criticized for being too hard to play/understand
It felt very heavy handed at first but then I realised, yeah. It's supposed to be mimicking an actual Narrator, not just some shitty tutorial. They really added to the story and it felt very cute.
The Trebhum had fought this creature before, and beaten it. They would do so again; for themselves, for the Trewhaala, and for the future.
Can't wait to see Gunu in the next Rumble

This is the most invested in a game's story Jerma has ever been
Really? To me it felt like he was kinda ignoring the narrator a lot
So you see, this game's about existential hope. It's about being willing to go through suffering and to take a leap of faith into the uncertain in order to make something of this world, even if it will all at some point fade into uniform entropy from which nothing can ever be. The light that steals all of your power is a symbol of getting very very pissed off and being mad. You must let the light take all of your power. Do not be mad at it. Lose all of your powers. Do it.
Gunu really went from hated to hero
this game was really cool, cute, and i genuinely nearly cried at moments, but i feel like there's SO much missed potential in a lot of its scenes :(
like, when the Mathemetician Asuka Trident's the Truvhalla(?) there was no PUNCH to it. it was tragic and pivotal to the story, but it didn't feel like it was. maybe if they zoomed in to the math man, showed him draw it back then fire and hit the serpent with a THUNDER CLAP and SHHHHHICK as it slid through it it would be good
the same could be said with a lot of the scenes. the narrator showing up and changing the dimension was just okay. maybe camera angles, borders, or sound effects would've made it at least a BIT more interestinf.
the final scene where the math guy charges the cylinder was such a boring scene as well and that was supposed to be the final blow. what if you controlled him and got to give it a beatdown yourself? like, c'mon, it's a video game
and when the serpent comes out of nowhere and whacks the mathemetician... that whole boss fight could've been different
all-in-all. great concepts but poor execution

yea i noticed in a lot of scenes there was no screen shaking where there normally would have been.
there was a weird lack of sound effects too
idk i was pretty invested in the story as it was and thought it was cool how the "cutscenes" played out in real time for the most part. made the mathematician feel more dangerous, like he could wipe the group at any moment if he noticed you

I have to assume because either he didn't think they "counted" or because he never got the reference like he would have if I'd used a well-known movie.
