God that video is awful. As someone who is disabled, it was an incredibly offensive portrayal of disability. I'd almost liken it to Sia's movie "Music". Also, the insinuation that disability is some sort of punishment for the wife is incredibly angering. Becoming disabled isn't some sort of cosmic punishment for someone's wrong doings. (also I just wanted to point out that the reason they didn't have an actual electric wheelchair is likely because the type of wheelchair someone who is completely immobile would need is typically 10k+)

They just pointed out that they thought the word choice of ‘live’ to regret it is weird for the wife, as although the title implies that she will regret what she did, the person was pointing out that in their opinion, the word ‘live’ suggests that she survived the situation, despite not being in any risk of death or injury. The commenter thought it was weird word choice, but it’s still obvious what the title meant.

As a disabled person, this video (the one they're reacting to, not Cody's) was so offensive that it circled back into utterly absurd and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. 😂
I guess it's one of those "have-to-laugh-or-you'll-cry" situations? I'm not sure where you'd even begin to explain to someone everything wrong with the way Sameer portrays disabled people (and women, from the few videos I've seen.) I hope it comes from a place of pure ignorance and not hatred, at least?
One side note though, I'm not surprised they didn't have a motorised wheelchair on um... "set", if we can call it that - they typically cost thousands of dollars. When I needed a regular, basic model wheelchair, even that was so expensive that for a while (until it became obvious it would be a long-term problem), my family were literally renting one. Maybe I'm just really poor but I think most people would agree that wheelchairs/mobility aids, in general, are super expensive.
I honestly think that's the intention with these videos; to make the portrayal absurdly offensive and ignorant. No way someone wrote this script and didn't know what they were doing. It's gotta be satire.

Why does that Sameer dude have such a disdain for people with physical disabilities? One of his other videos has a kid using a walking frame and it straight-up implies that he can just overcome his disability by doing martial arts. A character in that video even tells the kid that the walker is "holding him back". As funny as it can be to poke fun at the awful videos the guy makes, its also pretty disgusting how spiteful - if not directly harmful - his videos are to people who actually have physical disabilities. Even him pretending to be in a chair and using a speech synthesiser is honestly one of the most soulless things I've seen a person do, and conveys a huge lack of empathy towards the difficulties faced by those with the conditions that Sameer is effectively mocking.
I think he’s actually making Darr Mann parody videos and it’s just not quite obvious enough for anyone to be certain whether they’re a joke or not😵💫
@@benjaminstevens4468 I've seen that same theory around, but based on his content, I personally think that Sameer doesn't seem anywhere near self-aware enough to be making intentional parody.
The weird divorce video that Cody reacted to with Kurtis seems to be the closest to an actual Dhar Mann parody, but it's still feels like a stretch (especially because that example seems to veer into weird fetish territory at certain points).
That being said, if his content *is* intentionally parody of Dhar Mann's, I feel there's still a problem of offensive portrayals of physical disability in Sameer's videos.
And on top of that, purely mimicking Dhar Mann's style and video format without adding any actual substance (for example, not commenting on his content, or even on the wider CZcams algorithm) just makes Sameer's content pretty low-hanging fruit.
Just copying the thing you're trying to make fun of isn't effective parody, in my opinion.
It's totally fair if people want to read Sameer's videos as parody of Dhar Mann's though, I'm not here to gatekeep or rob people of that take. For me, I just can't get behind some of the kinda offensive stuff in his videos.

What Sameer does is remove the high production value of Dhar Mann's content, makes obvious continuity errors, slapstick additions out of nowhere that never are explained or even possible, the dead-on ending message that is spoken in the style and cadence of Dhar Mann, and more. Dhar Mann is parody as well, but Dhar Mann intends to be covert while Sameer's intention is to be overt. The fact that people fall for Sameer's content bolsters both content creators' underlying messages about society.

Context: I dated this guy for 6 months. My dad had been battling cancer for four years and went to the hospital two weeks before Christmas (after having a stroke).
The day after Christmas my dad died and my whole world was crushed. My now ex started following half naked girls on tik tok and barely talking to me. When I confronted him he said my dads death was “too much” for him, that he was getting bored of us and that he didn’t seem himself ever loving me. We broke up that day and a week later he asked if we could still have sex.
This was over two years ago and he recently hit me up to ask if we could be friends. Obviously that didn’t happen.

Breakup story: it was Christmas Eve at my family’s and I brought my gf with me. Found her making out with my brother’s friend while he was blacked out drunk. Family was yelling. She was yelling. God it was so heartbreaking and embarrassing . I was just so drunk and surprised, I went outside and sat on the bench crying.
