The hilarious thing is if Kojima had released Death Stranding in 2020 everyone would have assumed he somehow predicted how this year would go. Everyone shut up inside interacting through the Internet but for the folks delivering your mail and packages.
The plandemic did start in 2019. That is where the 19 came from.
With how long this game was in the works and the fact he was able to get it out before 2020 should be proof that the man can predict the future.
Everyone in their homes, only delivery men roam the outside.

I recently discovered that they give you minutes long ads that you can't skip if they detect an ad blocker. Was wondering why I wasn't able to skip at home but at work was able to. Then I whitelisted CZcams and voila, able to skip again

Luckily at the "Princess Beach" scene I had the subtitles on, otherwise I would have totally misinterpreted it.
I'm a simple man. I enjoy the game and laughed at this honest trailer. Enjoying and laughing as much as possible helps me get thru the hard parts of life.

I'm absolutely in love with this game, and I can attest: this trailer is 100% accurate.
I'm one of those people that has never played this game but has done a fair bit of research [ read :random video watching] around it and it feels like this honest trailer was a bit too cynical about it
I love this game too. I can safely say it’s my favorite game of all time. Sunk 500 hours in it. And then some more when the Director’s Cut came about.
That said. While I 100% understand this videos are for giggles I disagree strongly with the bashing of the mechanics and gameplay in general. It’s totally not for everyone but it’s very, very well done and fun to play if you are into it.

Pro tip: Holding L2 and R2 at the same time will keep you from swaying any one way. Just like holding your bag (which I think is supposed to be the point).

Crazelord91 it’s cause I think cause everyone who “liked it” at first realized that it’s really boring and they are done with it. Truth: it was just hyped up cause it was a Kojima game; now that the hype is gone everyone sees it for what it is and no one cares anymore lol.

It's really easy to have a good laugh about how weird and frustrating this game can be---
but one point of criticism I never understand is how you supposedly have to constantly press the shoulder buttons left and right to keep your balance.
In my experience, all you need to do is auto-arrange your cargo so it's evenly distributed (which is as simple as pressing triangle in the cargo menu)
and hold down both shoulder buttons while traveling as if you're holding your pack straps when you hike in real life. Through the entire game i think I only fell and dropped my cargo maybe 10 times due to losing my balance.
Are a lot of people actually trying to play this game by alternating between the triggers?

@@rookieman329 The game has polarized opinions regarding gameplay and story. Story is your typical kojima type thing, if you like kojima, you will like it. But gameplay? You really just have to try it to see if you like it or not. It's either you really love the gameplay, or you find it extremely boring.
Yeah, I never got that either. I would just hold both buttons before going near non-flat terrain and never had an issue.
Only time I’ve fallen was at the beginning and due to uh BT tar pits. It’s really not that hard to stay up.
Came here immediately having finished the game and...yes. Everything. Utterly everything in this video is so true. The line about 'art' and comments on the terrible vehicles...had me crying with cathartic laughter.
I'm sad enough that I actually got that end "The Postman" refrence. Its an excellent post apocolyptic novel by David Brin.

Glad to see that this "Honest trailer" is true to it's name. Seriously, you can't hate "death stranding" for being exactly how they advertised it. Plus, Kojima did have to make a whole video game company from scratch and release a game ASAP. After he just got backed stab by Konami.
The game is outstanding but not playing it of course you'd be clueless.
I've played games from smaller and poorer dev teams that were better and funner than this.

There are parts of the game that do get slow after a while but it’s still fun and this game deserves a little slack since this is the first by Kojima productions

To anybody reading this, I really hope you actually get to experience this game and form your own opinions. Just be aware that its a different form of audio- visual media (the next step in my opinoion) so dont expect it to have the regular gameplay (plot, acting, cinematography, audio) we've grown accustomed to

Getting the most out of Dark Souls required a mental adjustment to get past the rage-quit wall. I think this game is similar in that way and honestly great once you start embracing its quirks. I don't know why I see so many people complaining about falling over all the time. Hold L2 and R2 (together, both, even when not prompted) and you'll pretty much never fall, just stop every once in a while and drink some Monster Energy Drink* ;P.
That being said... the Princess "Beach" scene WAS the literal worst.
Agreed. I keep seeing reviews like this where the reviewer is playing like a complete idiot and complaining about it like it is the games fault. Don't drive your motorcycle through the rock field... don't drive the truck up a wall... check how deep the water is before you walk/drive into it. It is not hard.
