    very mixed replies. I bought an e91 318i MSport LCI 5 years ago, then ai loved it so much so when I needed a car to commute long miles I have decided to keep it as a second car just for the weekend. With regular servicing mostly done by me the car never missed a beat. Currently it is on 125k miles. I don’t care about the power as there are speed limits everywhere, it is just a pure fun to drive it around the bends and rolling roads. Comfy and economic if I drive it sensibly and practical as its a Touring model. I feel like this is a car you can call “the only car you ever need”! Absolute loving this machine.

    E90 would have to be the most affordable and practical Bmw in the second hand market today. Just a fantastic ageless design with all the reliability one can wish for. Love driving my 323i 2010 N52 inline 6. If regularly maintained these cars will not let you down. Great review keep up the good work.

    08' 328i N51 AT (Pre-LCI) owner and she has just under 100k miles. Interior still smells new and only issue inside is maybe the rear pop-out tray being sticky and the bottom part of the drivers seat has slight cracking at the outer inside corner. They can be pricy to maintain properly but if you know how to do a lot of it, you'll save a ton of money.
    I just had to replace the coolant tank and did the front and rear glass seals, it's had a new valve cover, new vanos solenoids, oil changes every 3k miles, oil filter housing gasket, transmission fluid, filter, pan gasket (all genuine parts/oil), starter, water pump, map thermostat, two DMTL pumps, spark plugs, coils, power steering flush, intake gaskets, coolant lines (aluminum mickey mouse flange), differential fluid flush, two cabin air filters since owning, new wheel, one new TPMS sensor, found a tiny grommet that goes in the door which was missing since I picked the car up (amazed you could buy it), coolant has been flushed three times now, new Zimmerman rotors and ceramic pads (have the rear brake kit just waiting for sensor to go) and just picked up a pair of new side markers.
    There have been other small things I've fixed too like new plastic twist retainers for your oil drain flap and inside the wheel well, fixed the cup holder not extending (there is that repair method to fix the coil spring) and soldering a bit of new material on a metal contact for the front left blinker. Also fixed the washer fluid pump leaking (hairline crack, used epoxy). I honestly enjoy working on the car and there is still more to do. Found out by experience that in many cases you should just go OEM/Genuine. New headlamps are next along with some fresh fog lights and the car will be looking absolutely brand new. Love E90s. 💙

      3 rocker cover gaskets in 2 years? I want to say that either you didn't replace the right part, the gaskets themselves were crap, or they weren't fitted properly. No disrespect but that seems excessive.

      @KryptoKn8 Před 4 měsíci

      Bring it to a tuner. The stock ignition timings have a mix of power, economy and comfort. If you buy a "budget" BMW anyway then comfort is usually not the very first pick. It'll be a bit more rough as a whole but it will have enough power to get going (which it does anyway, if you have at least the same version as me, 143hp 318i) and it will have better fuel economy. 400$ might _sound_ like alot, but just consider how easy it is to spend 400$ on fuel you wouldn't have had to otherwise if you had better economy. It's an investment worth making for sure
