    Cali raised doesn't have any install instructions so this was 💯 more helpful than theirs. I was installing the ditch pods and just winged it. Glad I was on track.

    Do you have a video of you wiring the oem switch

    Dummy switches on my TRD Sport required that I remove the entire switch panel and use a small screw driver to push in the tabs. Basically have to remove the main panel like he showed, take a pic of the connectors, disconnect all of them and push the smaller switch panel out. It’s one more step, but not difficult. Switch panel will pop back in.

      Weird. I was able to just push it out. With pressure but still good. Thanks for sharing!

    I used same switches on my 2022, building out 2024 now. Do you have a video out for getting wire bundle down to firewall to enter engine bay? 2022 had wires enter roof via drilled hole above driver and front passenger door. Then down interior A pillar I believe. I saw wire bundle enter engine through firewall on each side. Want to do myself this time

    FYI you could probably use those self adhesive zip tie mounts to hold up the wires

    Good video. But, I'd like to see the wire connection for the OEM Light Bar Switch. I have a 2024 Tundra CrewMax Hybrid which is different routing of the wiring for power which I found much easier. However, I didn't have the OEM switch until later. If you like, I can show you how I installed the power in my Hybrid style but the light OEM switch is a little different for the wiring.

    Hey Jon-Love all your videos and the information you put out, super helpful! Question for you: Looking at putting a light bar on my roof rack that has the dual amber/white lights. Have you found a switch that offers the dual function that fits for the newer tundra?

    Been following most of your videos - have you done anything similar for Hybrid Models given that battery is under the seat.
    I like the idea of having the factory light switch locations, just looking for a more straight forward wiring.
    Keep up great work.
    Just picked up my 2023 - 1794 Hybrid TRD that i've been waiting since April 2022 on.

      I haven't. I'm not sure if there is a spot under the hood for that to make it easier.

      @@TRDJon There's a fuse that is unused in my hybrid platinum that is connected to the ignition that I used. Didn't enjoy drilling into the housing of the fuse box but if you drill it on a downward angle it reduces the possibility of moisture getting into the fuse box. The fuse location is in the passenger side fuse box between "ENG-IGR No.1" and "TOWING-TGR". Using an "Add a circuit fuse tap" you now have a fused, ignition switched, power source.

    The cali raised switches got be grounded to the truck some how they do. See a bolt in the switch panel is that the ground? I'm installing a diode dynamics ss5 ceosslink and that harnesses has no ground wires

    I was able to wire this switch to my light bar perfectly fine. But I have one concerning problem. While the light bar itself turns on and off no problem, the light bar icon on the switch will not. Should I be worried? Both the power and ground are connected fine. Im worried it will drain the battery. Its also annoying that every other button light is off in the car besides this one. Any help would be much appreciated

    Did you figure out a way to wire the Cali raised switch to the factory harness to illuminate and dim with all the other switches, or just wire both reds together to only illuminate when the light bar is on?
    Just wondering if it was wired in to see in the dark of the cab

    • @TRDJon
      @TRDJon  Před rokem +1

      I mentioned that I did not. I didn’t wanna tap into factory harnesses.

    • @mattklein8752
      @mattklein8752 Před rokem +2

      You can take the yellow wire and tap it into a yellow factory wire and it backlights it.

    • @eddiefromcali
      @eddiefromcali Před rokem +1

      If you take a look at the oem switch wiring, you will notice they all have a tan or yellow color wire in the first (Or last, depending on how you look at it) position. This is your illumination wire. Simply tap into that from a neighboring switch and your aftermarket switch will now be backlit. I dont see why you wouldnt want to wire it up if youre already there and it will help you find it in the dark.

    • @Wernotfriends
      @Wernotfriends Před rokem +1

      I appreciate all the input. I noticed all the blanks are still factory wired and the blank slot I'm going to use has the wiring for the tow mirror extender. I'm going to see if it powers up when the lights are on and if so, I think I'll try to tap into that to get the factory look/feel without that TRD PRO price tag.

    • @Wernotfriends
      @Wernotfriends Před rokem +1

      @eddiefromcali hey, do you have a link to the wire diagram for this? Curious how you confirmed the tan wire is the illumination lead. Or was it from experience?
