Great Video Scotty! Just picked up my new 23 Tremor (marked down 3k!) this week and I absolutely love the truck coming from a 2014 FX4. This is an absolute home run in my opinion for Ford. Was originally looking at the Lariat with the Lariat high package and for about the same price, the Tremor is far superior in comfort, ride, everything.
I just realized thanks to this video that you can lock out the gears by using the +/- on the shifter to subtract (-) from the available gears. Awesome and useful feature.

In case anyone is wondering why the headlights are flashing like that, it has to do with something called pulse width modulation (PWM) and the difference between it and the frame rate of the camera. In reality, the lights work just fine. It just appears to act erratically on camera.

Thanks Scotty, I've had my new 23' F-150 XLT for about 2 months now and I do love it and it's pretty easy to maintain. However, I can't say U.S. QC is any better than Mexico. My truck wouldn't start within 15 hours of driving it home. It took the dealership a month to figure out that the wrong AC module was put in the truck and was draining the battery and tripping almost every sensor and code. Now that's fixed, it runs well and is smooth as my Avalon and even gets 25 MPG on the highway and 22.5 MPG in the city with the V8.

You have to stay out of boost. Most people getting bad mpg either they don't use the correct oil nor change it regularly. This causes issues with the VVT on the camshafts. A lot of people floor it ever time they leave a stop light.

A key thing here is simply that he took care of his old truck. Scotty, it would be interesting if you could do a video about the longest life you've ever seen out of a Kia, or a Hyundai, or similar vehicles, that were properly maintained. I'm just curious to know what fails on them, even if you take care of them. Of course, most people don't, they just drive them into the ground.

I owned two Elantra’s. One was totaled when I got rear ended, and another one that I sold to CarMax before i got my CX-5.
Only problems I ever had on those vehicles were batteries dying out either at or around the time the mileage warranty expires (go figure),
and some tires getting nails in them.
Besides that, they were solid. Now granted The ‘16 only had 55k miles on it and the ‘17 only had 47k on it so it’s not a fair comparison to your point.
But when you compare maintaining a sub 20k vehicle to a 75k truck, it’s apples to oranges.
That being said, I felt like those two cars I owned were solid and could have hit 150k with minimal problems. Did oil changes, rotations, and minimal warranty work.

I have owned a 2014 Ford Focus (auto) for over five years now and have had very little problems out of it. I change the oil every 3500-4000 miles and do other general maintenance as needed. Obviously, these cars are notorious for TERRIBLE transmission issues; however, I have only spent $1200 in the past 5 years (first-gear clutch) in repairs on the vehicle, excluding a pair of new Michelin tires. While the car still drives CLUNKY, and my clutch sounds like tin cans rattling inside my vehicle, my car is still going pretty strong for the insane amount of unreliability it's supposed to have.

I have a 2021 XL (didn’t even have cruise, I had to buy the buttons and change the PCM built as codes) with the 5.0 and 10 speed and I typically average 20 mpg or so on ethanol free fuel. No issues so far. I worry more about the current engine options than the 10 speed, outside of some harshness issues they seem to be pretty good. Of course I have the basic 3.31:1 rear end but I mean I’ve towed about 7500 lbs with it and it’s not stressed at all. The 5.0 will get over 20.5 mpg on the highway in stock form with no issue. If I make a trip on lower speed highways where I’m doing 60-65 mph or so it will easily get like 25 mpg
