As long as the two pieces are in the same room, hold my beer.

Y’all need to pay Tyler more cash - literally cash so that dude isn’t taxed. He, on so many levels- is the best instructor on your videos.
He knows how to teach. Dude takes em’ to church.

If you're back feeding the root, and the tacks are too far apart to lay your wire on, put a piece of tape closer to the starting tack to lay your wire on. Adjust according to what is comfortable for you.

I wanted to learn how to do some pipe welding so I bought a hole bunch of coupons to try at home... Every time I see them I think damn those were expensive.

Quick question. Do most people free hand the route or do people usually walk the cup. I work with stainless steel pipes and we just let the robot do the work. I hope I can learn new stuff with you head. The robot that we have is a Lincoln Electric. And the pipe that we use is 1/8 thickness and 2" in diameter

Makes it easier to feed your filler metal also. I personally take 5/32 on 2" and up.

try this next time (it works) weld the open side first, that opens the gap on the tight side.
Also you shouldn't be 'grabbing more wire' if you have learnt to feed the wire correctly.
