"Learning to Fly" same concert. Actually the entire concert is on CZcams AND because you LOVE Pink Floyd so much, I think maybe you should watch it, lose yourself in the show, forget it was dang near 30 years ago! I love them to, longer than you are old (I am 70). Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe. Peace.
Learning to Fly is stunning!
This entire concert is one of the greatest in the history of mankind, in my humble opinion.
My Dad used to sing Pink Floyd lyrics to me instead of nursery rhymes, so I'm a fellow Floyd nut haha! (I'm 41, so I understand your love of them completely 😊)
Agree with both of you!
Pink Floyd is hands down my favorite band. Dark Side of the Moon is a masterpiece.
Love these reactions. I'm 59 yrs old & I loved Pink Floyd, and other bands you react to, back in the day. But as I get older & revisit all these songs through reactions it makes me appreciate even more the great music I was exposed to my whole life!
“On the turning away “ is awesome live. “One slip “ from the delicate sound of thunder concert is great! Heck, they’re all good!
One slip, I forgot. Love that one. Time from Pulse tour is awesome. Wait..entire Pulse tour is great 😊
"Us and Them" and "Money" are my favorite Pink Floyd songs. Plus I love the saxophone solos!!
Us and Them to the end of the album (DSOTM) is pure bliss!! ` czcams.com/video/bLZWTkNyZFo/video.html
Dark Side of the Moon and the Wall are two of the greatest albums of all time and should be listened to in their entirety. Time and Money are two of the greatest songs of all time.
Its good to see your reactions, I am 64 years old and I have been listening to pink floyd for over 50 years. I have seen them in concert 5 times including the PULSE concert at Earl Court. Seeing and hearing a show like this is an experience that stays with you for life. Who is there today that could put on a show like this?.
No one better live
Just play the whole pulse concert. I was there! Easily hands down, the greatest day of my life. I remember just looking at the ground after the show and all I could say was....wow...wow😵💫
Pink Floyd is an English rock band formed in London in 1964. They became a leading band of the progressive rock genre. They are one of the best-selling music artists of all time. "Wish You Were Here", "The Dark Side Of The Moon" & "The Wall" are among the best-selling albums of all time. They have a huge library of music. Some of their big hits were "See Emily Play", "Money", "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2", "Not Now John", "On The Turning Away", "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", "Comfortably Numb", "Wish You Were Here" & "High Hopes".
Dear wikipediabot, Not Now John is a cool song, but certainly not one of Pink Floyd's "big hits".
I always liked turning them on and just closing my eyes. Love this band !
I'm from the UK and that song was a massive hit I think it topped the charts
Whenever Pink Floyd performed live it wasn't a concert. It Is an event!!!
I am 65 years old and been rocking out to this kind of music all my life and it does my old heart good to see young people such as yourself finding and enjoying the magical music from my age nice to see it pass to a new generation progressive rock will live on and become timeless
A great second solo by the underrated Tim Renwick......
Thanks ! I was wondering. Yes, great guitarist.
Important song! Also, you should watch the video for a trippy trippy experience! And yeah, Pink Floyd doesn't make bad songs
Nice reaction.
Try and cover “Echoes”, which is like 15-20 minutes long. It’s from my favorite album, Meddle (which someone else mentions in these comments, and suggests the opening instrumental piece on that album “One Of The Days”).
“Echoes” takes us on a journey and is my favorite piece of music by Pink Floyd. And I was a huge fan of them back in the day. I had every album by them and saw them multiple times in concert.
But for me, Meddle (which was two albums before their huge giant hit break-out album Dark Side of the Moon), is as good as it gets.
I love this live version of 'Another Brick in the Wall.' This song was a big radio hit for them off of 'The Wall' album in 1979. Here is some background information on the meaning of the song, if you're interested: '"Another Brick in the Wall" is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera The Wall, written by bassist Roger Waters. "Part 2", a protest song against corporal punishment, and rigid and abusive schooling, features a children's choir. At the suggestion of producer Bob Ezrin, Pink Floyd added elements of disco.' On the Pulse version you just watched, the second guitarist is Tim Renwick, who does an awesome solo (he is not a member of Pink Floyd). He also does a great solo on the Pulse version of the song 'Learning to Fly, which I also recommend you react to; the whole Pulse concert is amazing!
I think to truely begin to understand Pink Floyd, you need to start doing album reviews by them. A good starting point would be The Dark Side Of The Moon album. Do side A and then side B. Then Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall and then The Final Cut to name but a few. Pink Floyd did not make singles like most other bands...they made concept albums and all of them tell a story. I always suggest that you always have the lyrics drawn up as they are always very deep and meaningful.
Pink Floyd is in a category all of their own. I was at the San Diego show of Pulse. Best show ever!
BTW, my favorite song is Two Suns in the Sunset, which you won't hear too many people mention. But, if you haven't noticed yet, Floyd really makes albums, not standalone songs. You don't hear too many fans say play song whatever, and then switch to another band. The songs flow together as one, you typical play the whole album at a time. Which, Two Suns in the Sunset is one of the few that doesn't flow and stands by itself.
This song is ice cold, my friend. When I was just little, my grandma and I used to shout out, "Hey! Teacher! Leave them kids alone!".
A-D-O-Double G, here's what you need to do. Getcher self comfortable, snacks and some drinks, and put on Pink Floyd Live in Berlin. It will change your life, the back of your head will hurt from all the stank face you'll make.
I'm so happy that I grew up with such great music! Mom and Dad raised me with this great music ❤️
Can you imagine growing up with this music and other great bands or artists from the 70’s and 80’s? We were spoiled and took the music for granted and learned that we were so fortunate & it’s sad that the current music took such a drastic avenue that is not enjoyable or soothing to ones ears. Love this band and your reactions. Thanks for sharing.
You should definitely do "Comfortably Numb" live from the Live8 show back in 2005. This was the original lineup with their original bassist.
Continue to share the Joy! We need joy. Love your love of life. ❤️
My Mom loves Pink Floyd and she's 80. Pink Floyd is bad as bad can get. Still listening in 2022.
imagine hearing this forty years ago! haha, when I was young!
"Keep Talking" is a great song from Pulse concert too but honestly, having seen this concert twice and many others over the years, they are all masterpieces! Check out Echoes in Pompeii, earlier work when they were young, 1972.
My friend, you must do "Echoes " live in Pompeii 1971 and then the same song live in Danske Poland in the 1990s or 2000's! It was the last time David Gilmore and organist Richard Wright had played it together before Richard died of cancer! BOTH versions are phenomenal !
The light show is from "Pulse", and it is awesome, of course. Best I have ever seen. Interesting to think how prescient they were regarding today's prurient classroom education. "Teacher, leave them kids alone".
Dark side of the moon, A truly timeless masterpiece. I still remember the first time listening to it with headphones
Dude I’m happy you gave Pink Floyd a chance, it’s only natural that you’re hooked. I was 5 in 1977 and I remember hearing this song on the radio. From the age of 5 I’ve been a huge fan. Your reaction is awesome. Your right they can’t make a bad song. They have so many albums that are made with the same feeling , soul, heart. It’s just Pink Floyd.
It is fun watching you discover this amazing group. I remember when Dark Side of the Moon was released and all I could say was “Who are these guys!?!” From that moment on I was a fan of the truly unique music these guys put out on a consistent basis. They are truly amazing. I should tell you about the interview I heard after The Wall was released. The depth of meaning behind that album is difficult to wrap your head around. There will never be another band like Pink Floyd and I truly enjoy watching you experiencing their unique form of musical magic!
I remember watching your first Pink Floyd reaction. I knew you were gonna fall in love with them!!
There is no one else. My absolute favorite group and soloists. They truly are their own genre
Check out Pink Floyd song called run like hell. Live
Oh honey, I do love your reaction to probably the best group EVER! You're young and enjoy the music of my childhood..... We raised our kid to have the same appreciation.
That lot of people that you noticed sold out that same venue 15 nights in a row! When people hear they're going to put on a show people show up! You want to see something completely different with no people checkout the song "Echoes" Pink Floyd live in Pompeii 1972!! You get to see them when they were in their twenties with Rodger Waters, their bass player and main lyricist! Then you'll have David Gilmour lead guitar and singer, Rick Wright on the keyboards who also sings and Nick Mason the drummer! This is their by far most popular lineup!! So again "Echoes" live in Pompeii 1972! It's the song where they figured out what they wanted to sound like and the direction they went after 1972!!
Saw this concert 5 times. The helicopter sound at outdoor concert made people look up as the move the sound ( 200,000 of watts 128 wireless speakers) around the stadium. Next song " keep talking" intro by Stephen Hawking". A song from 1971 that put the Floyd on the map.perform for the last time do to passing of Rick Wright ( keyboards). David Gilmour " live at Gdansk" " Echoes" 24 minutes long of pure genius. The beginning and end who will hear Dave and Rick talking back and forth to each other with their instruments. ( 2 main guys that wrote it.)
I highly recommend you watch the movie, The Wall......... Pink Floyd musical where this song came from . It's bad ass!
Thank you Sir Adogg for reacting to another one of my Pink Floyd favorites, Another Brick in the Wall. Outstanding.
When listening to Pink Floyd I can choose between each instrument which one I want to sing. I love the vocals however each instrument has its own life. You don't listen to Pink Floyd you experience them.
“Time” is one of the best. But every song listed in comments in “one of the best”!! Love Pink Floyd! 💖 Love your reactions.
LOVE PINK FLOYD!!!❤❤❤
Gilmour "High Hopes" Live in Gdansk. Amazing slide guitar solo, followed by an acoustic guitar solo that will grab your soul.
To think this song written over FORTY YEARS ago and performed 28 years ago can still give a reaction to someone is hands down amazing!!
That's a awesome concert. Check out "Have A Cigar"
Great reaction Bruh! Pink Floyd is legendary, and David Gilmour is an international treasure. No other band does what Pink Floyd does, and their fans love it. Just look at that crowd, they're not screaming, jumping up and down, dancing in the aisles.
No, they're sitting in their seats, calmly, almost motionless, taking in the incredible music and light/lazar show. No doubt mesmerized at what they are seeing and hearing.
The music video is INSANELY TRUE!!!
From the album The Wall..
When I was a boy 👦, I sang the chorus at teachers in protest. I was glad that they and the principal did not stop me from my protest.
I was such a punk! 😃
This song was written as a protest vs teachers back in 1979. It was a hit. 😃
Strongly 💪 suggested next video 📹 Comfortably Numb.
RIP Sydney Barrett, Richard Wright on keyboards including in this video 📹 🎹
HIGH HOPES from the pulse. You will love it. It’s is beautiful and different with a build to it.
Pink Floyd has been my favourite group since I was a teenager. There are so many songs you should listen to, but if you have not played it yet NOT NOW JOHN totally resonates with me. I’d love to hear your response to that. It is pretty powerful. Cheers.
Like many PF albums, The Wall should be listened to in one sitting.
Love that you love Pink Floyd!
OOOH YEAH!! This is Pink Floyd Friday!!!
At some Pink Floyd concerts they had aeroplanes flying over the crowd ( in the stadium ),
I was fortunate to have seen that live.
On the turning away - Delicate sound of thunder - live
Played the hell out of this in early 1980 when I was in the Army’s jump school!
"Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon," was my introduction to this amazing group. May I suggest you purchase this piece and kick back, to allow yourself full listening pleasure. Peace and bright blessings.
You gotta see the original video. I remember this from the 70s.
You say the truth, Adogg... and it is a joy to see you enjoy so much. Floyd. Zep. Rush, and more great ones to come. Hi from Canada. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
In London we sang another prick in the hall.
Another Brick in the Wall was sung by millions of marching students in South Africa during the revolution against Apartheid the 80s.
I saw the Dark Side Of The Moon tour live, deff one of the best shows I'd ever seen. And I've seen alot of them in 67yrs
Song was popular When Reagan was running for President 1979/1980
There will never be a band like them again
There will never be another band like Pink Floyd
"Us and Them" is great, "On the Turning Away" is deep, really good too- there are so many to list its hard to list them all.
I'm a Teacher so this one or my favorite Pink Floyd songs Great Music
I am so happy you went down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole!!!! You made my day!!
Of note: the blonde back up singer is Sam Brown, who was coincidentally born in 1964, the same year the band formed.
Run like hell from the pulse concert is another great one
Remember singing this at school in the 80s
Great band ,great song
This was my gateway to Pink Floyd as a kid. Then later I heard Money. Then my first bf gave me a tape of Dark Side of the Moon to listen to. Lifelong fan (and I’m still with the same guy 30 years later 😆)
They are a tonic
Right there with ya Dogg! I saw all the legendary rock bands live and they're easily my favorite of all time! And this is maybe the greatest live concert ever captured on video! Can you imagine being there? I miss those days!
On their Dark Side Of The Moon album they use 2 drummers.
This hit was a monster and the video was great on MTV
I went to see Pink Floyd in Orlando around '88 - rained like hell and we "ran like hell," ha ha - were so soaked, we left early. My favorite groups seem to follow along with many reactors, guess because they were a lot of people's favorites! Journey, Rush, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zep...had the velvet poster of Jim Morrison, even walked through Paris for hours to see his gravesite. Have a good one! I'd like to see people give their Top 5 out of curiosity. I have a fav. hair band, "Cinderella." Grunge is harder...I liked early 90s alt rock/grunge a lot...still do. Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring, Jane's Addiction...anyway, have a good one!
Learning to Fly, The Machine, Wish You were Here, Time, Money, Have a Cigar, are few other songs you will probably like
Another great classic from my past
Shout out to laser light show at Bays Mountain, Kingsport TN
Pink Floyd - "one of these days" live 😉😎
We used to go to concerts like this easily twice a month. Back then we could afford it. $27.50 was the most we paid until around 1995.
“High Hopes” is on another level - you have to check it out 👊
Dude you are right on the money, Pink Floyd, zeppelin and Can Halen are my favs
The official video is from the movie and well worth watching!! Actually the movie itself is more than awesome. Would love to see a review of the movie. The producer took the album "The Wall" and made a movie.
Was so glad I lived in this,era... what a privilege
Im glad you love Pink Floyd. They are my absolute favorite band. Im glad I saw them at the Mile High Stadium in 1992. Anyway, you should try "Terminal Frost"?
Great concert! Again a concept album best as studio performance I think
Go down the rabbit hole. Watch the Wall, listen to their early stuff, Meddle, know the history of Roger Waters and why he left. All musical masterpieces. They are legends. Pigs, everything, there is so much great stuff.
I’m a big fan of Pink Floyd. They are my favorite band. I would like to request the song Pigs on the Wing pt.-2 from their Animals album. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy.
For a different pace with a blistering guitar with Pink Floyd/David Gilmour: David Gilmour live in Pompeii "In Any Tongue"
Listen to the album Meddle from start to finish. Prepare to have you mind blown!! My personal favorite album they did.
If you have some time, listen to The Wall in one sitting while reading the lyrics. Awesome is an understatement.
Any Live Pulse song is amazing.
Sorrow……the studio version and from the Pulse concert 👍👍
That is David gilmour…he has a lot of videos after Pink Floyd basically disintegrated.
🤘🏻😎 The video for this song is KOOL.
Love, Love, Love the Pulse concert but I agree that you really need to see the video to the song to grasp the full concept.. better yet watch the movie "The Wall". Echoes, 1972 live in Pompeii... it's almost 30 minutes long (there are 2 parts)... you won't be sorry and Floyd fans will be here for it no matter how long your video ends up being.
