  • Chelsea look set to complete the double swoop of Brighton's Moises Caicedo, and Southampton's Romeo Lavia. But with both players playing similar roles, the question has become "why would you want both?".
But a look at their differences, not their similarities, shows why Mauricio Pochettino has space for both players in his new-look side.

As a man united fan, I'm jealous of how strong Chelsea have been in the transfer market. They are arguably building a team that will challenge for years to come. With lavia and caicedo, they have the backbone of the team for over 10 years plus. If fofana recovers well, he and badashille can be a solid center back pairing on paper. Plus they have an og in Thiago silva to mentor them. Young Nicolas Jackson is already a threat based on that liverpool game, and will only get better. Finally add a manager that has a history of developing said young talent, and you have the potential for long term success. These are exciting times for chelsea fans indeed!!!

Great deal for Chelsea. They've now solidified their midfield. Looks scary at this point. 💯

Would love a video series on the recently promoted clubs. Why they could stay up and why they could not.

Can you do one for Olise to Chelsea? Olise has that bit of creativity that Chelsea never saw (albeit in some cases with Mudryk) after they sold Hazard.

Chelsea fan, thanks for giving your input on our new signings! It’s nice to hear another point of view, and I’m really excited to see how we perform mid season

  • @Sjtoolsie

A midfield of caicedo Lavia and Enzo could have James or Chillwell playing as wingers and Enzo given the freedom to dictate the game from any position on the pitch

After this transfer market Chelsea won’t have to make another big transfer for half a decade, outside of a goalkeeper . They will just be able to graduate (call up) the ridiculous amount of talent they have in their minor league system (Strasbourg). They will just continue to sign young 18-20 year olds for cheap and send them off to Strasbourg. I would bet anything that in 3-4 years the model Chelsea has created will be considered the gold standard and almost every big club will be doing it. Buying a club for loans is so much better than just sending players out on loan. Because as soon as the club realizes they won’t make Europe and they won’t be relegated they have no reason to play/develop that player anymore. It’s best for them to focus on players that are part of their future. But by buying Strasbourg they will be able to have the primary focus (outside of winning) be on developing players for Chelsea just as much as for Strasbourg . And also Champions League football is likely for Strasbourg after this year so they will be able to get experience at that level too.

Nice Video, could you do another on how Chelsea may use Olise? Pumping out 3 videos on chelsea may be crazy 😂😂😂, but just interested.

  • @matthewbrock8238

Great video again thank you. I suspect all three of Enzo, Caicedo and Lavia will feature prominently until Nkunku returns and maybe after. I get the feeling that Poch doesn’t quite rate Mudryk or Madueke very highly yet - maybe partly why he used Chilwell as a winger and pushed Chuk up very high to counteract only having one genuine winger on the field (Sterling). He just needs to be careful sharing out minutes this season while we’re only playing domestic football, from next year on assuming we return to Europe I’m sure workload, injuries and suspensions will mean everyone is organically called on to chip in weekly.

To be honest I wasn't convinced with this signing until this fantastic potato analogy, top tier content 😂

I think Reece James injury history also makes Lavia a great addition. Caicedo played a lot of RB for Brighton and looked dominant. Yes they have Gusto now but if Reece was out for extended periods you could plug Caicedo in at RB and put Lavia in his position and keep Gusto on the bench to backup Caicedo. I also think Pochettino is determined to have Enzo focus on the offensive side. So they’ll need another strong DM in case Caicedo is out or needs to fill in somewhere else. And if (when) they get back into Champions League they’ll definitely have enough games to rotate everyone.

Great video as always. WOuld be curious to hear what you have to say about Jackson and Broja as Chelsea's forwards for the season. I get its a bit open ended but i would love to hear what you think their impact will be given the additions to the team.

  • @khayamoah1646

Top tier analysis, better than all those former footballers who sit on tv channels ranting about nothing

Most insightful and entertaining football videos anywhere! BBC or Sky would be lucky to have you. Please don't stop. Would love an in depth video on how Chelsea aren't breaching Fairplay even with long contracts and fees spread it doesn't seem to add up to me.
