Just watched the CLK GTR video yesterday, I've got to say I'm loving these videos of the GT1 homologation based vehicles, such unique powerhouses with looks that are timeless.
Not a fancy, but smooth, refined, and true English version, sir. With such a leisurely delivery of finest pieces of automotive art. Aaahhh. I need some wine and cheese for this.
and amazingly you can showcase all of a car's quirks and features in 14 minutes as opposed to 40 - using about 90% less words than Doug. God that man annoys me.
This content is genuinely more addicting than cocaine. Thank you for giving us such detailed access to such legendary motor cars that many of us will never have the opportunity to see in real life, let alone experience to this level. Thank you, and keep up the mega work!
These videos (this and the CLK-GTR) are so unique; you guys should start a series on the "quirks and features" of these ultra rare exotics. Keep them coming!
@@HolTukIj haha, I mean I know dougs popular but I doubt even he has access to the caliber of cars that DK engineering does. Makes sense for them to produce that niche content since they have the inventory to create it
Filmed so well I could feel the precision of the gear shifter. I watched this with my Autoart 1:18 scale GT1 sitting right next to my TV where it lives and didn’t realise how perfect the GT1 is. The leather, steering wheel design, and just everything is so beautiful.
Lots of videos of guys hooning around in one of these but nothing like this where you get a feel for what it's like to live with something as special as this. It's a privilege to see this.
The fact that the legendary GT1 is under miscellaneous, along with the Carrera GT, is almost insulting to the car! It should be labeled legends. Great video mate. These videos are pure pornography for motor heads
@@DuBstep115 It doesn't spoil like milk does, but temperature changes may cause condensation which obviously isn't good for the oil. There's oxidation as well as other users pointed out. Also there are a ton of additives that may expire. Maybe you were joking, but there's a good reason for oil to be changed after a couple of years.
from across the pond in a tiny NYC apt .... i just wanna say that you and the team are just absolutely as professional as it gets and inspirational as well .
I'm so glad that we have DK to give these amazing legendary cars the attention and care that they deserve, whether that be restorations or refreshing. Would be cool to see some JDM stuff here seeing as they're getting so valuable!
I thought about the same. The mercedes needs 4 man to remove the engine cover which is ridiculous. I see more people actually use the Porsche for driving than the CLK. Thats a clear indicator what a car Porsche really built back then.
These videos are fantastic and it’s clear that they have an intimate knowledge of these cars but I do physically wince whenever someone shuts a bonnet like that! 😁
More of these!!! They're so great, even with cars that aren't as rare. I enjoy startup procedures and switchgear, hard to find the sounds of a car that's rare.
Just discovered this, very cool to see some real life practical usage info on car that I'll never own. But now I can look knowledgable when I see them in Monterey in August.
Mr. James Cottingham along with Dr. Mark Felton,(who produces very fine documentaries about World War II,) are both excellent instructors. James has so much knowledge and patience in these great videos, and it shows. It also shows that the average daily driver is a poor excuse compared to the monster that the Porsche GT1 is. We are in debt to DK for these well done videos. Keep them coming, Gentlemen!
Bookmarked this video. It may become useful in my next life
One can hope 🤞
Good luck with that
Good idea.
Are you sick?

This is like a fancy version of Doug Demuro. I love it

Then finally a real car... lol

It's really not.
Cocaine cowboy.
You need to get better cocaine

Great ending BTW!
Yes! We need more driving footage please.
Yeeees, another one. Keep'em coming 👏

Much easier to remove the rear clam than on a CLK GTR. I think I'm sold.
you can do it yourself vs a team of 4 on the CLK haha
@@ShaiyanHossain Exactly. I'd have to hire an extra mechanic if I wanted to get the GTR - which seems excessive.
Easier to check the oil on the CLK, though. :P
Wow. So much easier to live with than CLK GTR. Love em both.
Outstanding.
If you ever get lucky enough to get your hands on a Rover 100, I'd love you to give it same kind of video coverage.
The sounds on these german cars REALLY make these videos. Very crisp noises, no background hum. It's like an asmr video for men. lol
I remember this car from NFS Porsche 2000. Best car in the game, next to 2000 911 turbo.
The fact that the legendary GT1 is under miscellaneous, along with the Carrera GT, is almost insulting to the car! It should be labeled legends. Great video mate. These videos are pure pornography for motor heads
They should be under the "You're Fooling Yourself" category :-)
I would love to see you do a F1 LM or a F40 LM. Great video btw.
They must have been on the line.
F50 GT
1998 Toyota GT-One is pretty sick road legal GT1 car as well.
Or an F50 GT.

The oil being drained was as good as new 🤣 thank you for sharing this detailed and beautifully constructed video! 🙏🏻
Well when you got a million dollar car who would want to risk it because of 60 bucks.
Maybe it doesn’t drive much but the oil life is 1 or 2years

Finally I know how to maintain the GT1 sitting in my garage
I'm so glad yt put this channel in my feed. It's quickly become a favorite.
I love this, a “how to” video the 20 people that actually own one 🤣. Joking around, pretty cool to see.
Everything about this is anazing the video the explanation the car the production quality. Totally tiptop
Please continue doing these. This and the CLK GTR video are really great content.

these are really practical and helpful tips for me! definitely gonna pick one of these bad boys up soon.
Love it, how the most uninteresting items of the most intersting cars are still the most interesting content on youtube
Now I know what to expect when I get my own 911 Gt1! Thanks!
I like that Porsche is more like a "car" compared to Mercedes
@Marc Willard I believe he's referring to the CLK-GTR. They have a similar video on it.
