Tour Boise Idaho's Old Idaho Penitentiary & Bike The Greenbelt

- Idaho's most visited museum is the Old Idaho Penitentiary. It served as Idaho's main prison from 1872 to 1973 and has a rich history. And by rich I mean a bunch of strange horrific stuff happened between these walls! That's what makes this place such a popular Idaho tourist destination, people come for the creepy, macabre tales of it's 100 year history. We get a tour with a guide and show you why this place is such a gem for ghost hunters.
Then we head downtown for a tandem bike ride on Boise's river greenbelt where we eventually arrive at Alive After Five. A weekly summer concert series that's totally free and takes place right downtown. Just a couple more reasons why Boise is one of the most livable cities in the country.

Questions about visiting Boise, leave them here! We do want to point out that this video was shot late in 2019 before COVID. As of today the Old Pen is open and conducting tours like you see in the video. McU's is open and renting bikes, the greenbelt is open, and most of downtown is opening back up. Alive After Five is not going on this year, they are doing a virtual concert series and plan on being back next year.
I also recommend Frightened Felons in October, the haunted cell block is definitely haunted!!
Frightened felons is cool! The Haunted World in Nampa is another really good one in October. Huge haunted corn maze.

I just updated my comment above thanks for reminding me. Everything you see in the video you can do right now, except Alive After Five. We shot this last year with the plan to release this early in the spring to go along with Treefort. Unfortunately COVID came and messed everything up. I can't really hold this content for another year so I made the decision to go ahead and release it.
My uncle went there for 2 years lol
