Thank you for watching!
Pp. ...oopp lot mmp
Pailin, my wife and I watch you all the time, not only for your impeccable personality but the cooking. No reason for me to create a commentary paragraph. I also enjoyed seeing you and Mark Wein from one of the series.
+Edouard Marzouka Thank You!
Edouard that's exactly right. I enjoy her personality as much as the cooking. Her presentation is so nice and clear and makes me want to cook!
"And thud" 555, I actually lol'd when she said that.
I cooked Gai Yang today using your amazing Thai Smile and the BBQ was gone in seconds at my party. Everyone loves your chicken Miss Palin Thanks many time for your patients making your video. Thanks again
Thought I lost you, thank goodness you popped up in my algorithm, best Thai Chef ever.
I've eaten a lot of faith yang in my sixty-plus years but I've never made it. I followed your recipe (mostly) and the results were astounding. It truly is the ultimate gai yang or at least the best I have ever had. It has earned its place on my list of what to make for company. Thanks Pai!
I tried this recipe today and it was delicious!
Words cannot do justice to the absolute perfection of this dish. Make it and eat it and you'll know too.
Hi, Pailin! Thank you for inspiring me , your Recipes are quite great. I love eating grilled Chicken and I just can't wait to try this recipe .
Pailin, I happened to discover your videos 4 days ago and I just can't stop watching it now 😘😘😘 I just love all your thai cooking... I so, so love Thai foods...👍👍👍👍
That's brilliant I love watching and learning your recipe's and also love Thailand it's my main holiday destination
Just made this from your book with really inexpensive bone in chicken thighs. I tested it on my 7 year old son. One piece of yours vs one piece of plain with a pinch of salt. I got the thumbs up for yours. My son ate it down to the bone and did not touch the 'control' piece after the first bite. My wife gets off work in an hour or so. I have more thighs marinating. This is a real winner and so are your books. Thank you so much!
great video as always! its winter here in melbourne, so alot of braised dishes for dinner such as moo parlow. but this will be the 1st dish i cook when the sun is shining and the weather is alot better. keep up the vids so enjoyable to watch.
This recipe is PERFECTION! Brings back so many memories (Peace Corps, Mahasarakham)! And the recommendation to use indirect heat is spot on. I tried 4 other recipes before discovering this one. None were even close. Made it for a dinner party and people loved it. And the Nam Jim Jeaw. My guests were all over that. Coming back for more ideas. Thanks!
I apply your understanding being presented nutritionally in my diet. Thanks.
I love to see your facial expression when you eat your food. You truly enjoy the products of your creation. Very impressive.
I love all your recipes! Best Thai recipe !! I have tried so many and you are always spot on
Pai, I have been watching you for sometime now and your cooking keep me glued. Am a Nigerian but I like good cooking and cheerful personality. No doubt all your meals will be yummy cos they are made with joy. I have learnt the art of marinating, and garlic oil from you now, I actually enjoy that garlicky taste in my eggs. Thanks for sharing . Keep it up. Will try this BBQ chicken recipe soon
This looks so incredibly delicious! We have to ask though (having the same bbq) how have you kept yours so nice and white on top? Ours looks a little.... uhhh... well-used and quite browned.
Yet another clever and wonderful video.
I have no clue how I have never heard of toasted rice powder! I love to toast my rice. I now realize that's probably what is in my favorite toasted rice tea. Thanks so much! I can now just make it this way, & add it to my green or black tea.
Ahhh.I need som tam with that Gai Yang.
P’Pai I made these yesterday with 3 whole chicken for my family day in which i tripled the recipe and quadrupled the nam jim jeaw ratio, everyone loved it and namjim jeaw finished within 30 minutes even when i intentionally made it extra spicy
ของโปรดเลยค่ะ น่ากินจังเลย

One of the most amazing quality in Pai is her honesty, when she doesn't know something, she'll acknowledge it without guilt or ego, what a beautiful soul !
I love all your videos!
Hi Pailin, I only tried your bbq marinade with just chicken wings and it tasted heavenly. I didn't even prepare the dipping sauce, which must also be excellent. Thank you.

Really great video!
One of my favorites! nothing like a big pile of som tum to go along with this on the side ^_^
Going to do this today with Sticky rice, but I am going to try to Sous Vide the marinated chicken to try and keep the meat really moist then char the outside on a charcoal hibachi.......ohhhhh can't wait.
Your turiorials are awesome; well filmed; presented and most importantly, real authentic Thai tasting recipes. Nice work!
It looks so simple and yummy

I will definitely try it soom
The singing at the end was so funny ... “chicken in the sun” 5555
Prego n hungry n this looks soo good!
Great cook
Awesome Pai - I'll be sure to give that recipe a go! How would it go as a marinade for chicken skewers?
Thank you so much! Easy and taste great! The chicken was delicious with aromatic herbs. The lemongrass became unpleasant texture while chewing. I will try it with big chunk of lemongrass next time, so I could remove it out when it's done.
cool I live in Vancouver too! quick questions, what wireless microphone are you using in this video? thanks!
I just wanna say thank u so much fo this recipe!!! I never usually come back to comment but wow.. so simple and so tasty!!
I liked the way demonstrate your recipe and your smile is the most.
Yum! Will try this tomorrow.
looks delicious ! yum !!!
My go-to for faux grill is: pan-sear the chicken on both sides (approx 2 minutes each) till you get the golden caramelisation , then bake in the oven (convection 350F) for about 20 minutes.
Just made this today and it brought me back to Bangkok ❤
Balcony grillin' is how it's done! Oh yeah! Nice!
Great video and recipe from Honolulu
I've only ever used a whole chicken in the InstantPot to make broth & pulled chicken bits for whatever... but I think this will be my new go-to 🤤
I'll miss the bone broth, but I think the roasted flavors + dipping sauce will more than make up for it!!😻😻😻
love your vids.
hi Pai.. can u also use the marinade for any pork meat..?? thanks... always love ur vids..!!
เปิดมาดูตอนตีสอง ถึงอยู่เมืองไทย ก็หากินไม่ได้ 555

You have great personality and will go far....
I hope you could make also a tutorial about making a BBQ Plaza sauce I really love it .
Umbrellas out and about under the sun is really an asian thing. 😁
It goes back generations, same everywhere even in Europe... except maybe Scandinavia. Lighter skin tones usually meant higher social status, so rare and sort after since the rich didn't have to go get baked in the sun working manual labour outdoors or in the fields farming. England up until the late 20th century still prefered their women pale and plump...
It's only in the 21st century where lots of people now work in offices sat on our arses most the day in the shade getting fat that people realised this unhealthy trend is doing us more harm than good. The middle class in Thailand are a little slow to catch up on this point. Most are still of the attitude that "well to do" women (and to a certain extent men) should never have to lift a finger... being attended to by คนใช้ (servants) or the men in thier lives 24/7. Thankfully that's beginning to change and more are going to the gym and being more active in the sun. Muscular guys weren't even considered desirable until recently...
Wow didn't expect a sociology rant on a video a bout ไ่ก่ย่าง :p
and Africa...
Because we are smart , no skin cancer and no premature aging 👍, so it is all good 🤒🤒🤒!!!
Can totally relate 😄
JizzingTiger SquirtingDragon only an open umbrella indoors.
Amazing vid
You are an absolute treasure!!!
The soft music at the end adds a nice touch. Shalom.
This looks soooooooooo goood

Thinking of you! My family are in Seattle. I am in KY...will try to send rain your way. Great recipe, per usual.
Hi Pailin. I'm wondering if you could make a video on Kanom Krok. Thats my favourite Thai Dessert. My mum used to make it for me often. Really hope to see a video of it!

You're really brave to grill chicken in this Vancouver heat wave! This looks amazing! Will definitely try this when its not so hot :)
Cheryl Ng She's from Southern Thailand so the Heat wave would probably be nothing XD
I'm Filipino and once, I had hot chocolate in a heat wave in the UK XD

I've watch the other video for this BBQ chicken. Yes, this recipe is an up grade to the old one. I commented in the other video comments, but I think you answered my question in this video.
super clear instructions. I am going to try this for our weekend gathering. Thank you so much, Pai. You are my wonderful and inspiring teacher!
Never knew about toasted rice powder, thanks!

Pai just something I thought about to ask.
Filling BBQ chicken and very professional.
How many takes do you do?
Or do you usually have to take?
Or did you get it smack on every time?
I’ll ask my wife what that word
BBQ chicken curry n Thai was
that weren’t sure of....
She is from the Northern part,
She might know
Adrian Calgary
Can you spatchcock a chicken (remove the backbone to flatten it out) marinade it then cook it indirect on a charcoal grill?
OMG! after watching a couple of your videos, is there any street food or Thai menu you can't do??!! LOL
Ultimate torture watching these at 2am here :)
Superb
Fantastic video. I like it.
Thanks for good video.
"Jaew" is the lao word for dipping sauce. It is common in the Issan region. Grilled chicken and sticky and papaya salad is one of my favorite meal.
Is there a way u can also show us the brand of sauce you're using? Since not all soy sauce n other sauce are the same. Thank you
