GUILD WARS 2: The Specter - Detailed Class Guide [End of Dragons Thief Elite Spec]

This is an up to date Guild Wars 2 guide covering everything you need to know about the Specter, which is an elite specialization of the Thief. This video shows off all of the weapons the Specter can use and looks at all of the individual weapon skills. It also has a look at all of the healing, utility & elite skills the Specter has at it's disposal. It then goes on to look at the elite specialization for the Specter and what each individual trait does for your character. The video finishes with a short combat demonstration with a basic Specter build so you can see what it looks like when it all comes together.

Played the new spec first time yesterday. Usualy play pistol pistol and staff DPS. Now it takes a getting used to but after I watched this video it played very nice and I will keep on perfecting my rotations. Thanks for the video and keep ip the good work.

Definitely a cool spec. I'm not a fan of the sound effects from the scepter 1 skill though. I mean, you're throwing shadows - NOT whacking the enemy over the head with a giant fly swatter LOL
I feel like that would get old REAL fast ><
Also it would be nice to see a bit more variety with the wells as far as animation. But overall I like the concept and I'm curious to see if/how they tweak it before EoD releases.

I assume it works similiar to DE in that when you use thief guild one of the 4 thieves is a specter too. It propably allows faster group condi applications than regular venom share. I am sure it is not my type of play since I really like playing with rifles. But pretty unusual idea for a thief spec. Don't really know what else they could have come up with and as long as it smth that is new the ppl gonna play it.

Can you stack barrier on yourself?

Some skills put barrier on yourself but if you mean using the number 1 skill on yourself to stack barrier, that is a no ☺️

I like and appreciate your vids and even though I'm watching them a little late I feel their still very informative. I'm new to gw2 so I've been using them to check out all the classes and specializations. I've seen them all with this one being my last and I must say this one has to be the laziest most boring attempt! Literally all the weapon skills look exactly the same and all utility skills look the same! I appreciate that anet gave a support spec to thief which is cool but come on really? Even if it's affective it just looks so lame. I mean no one at anet saw this and noticed how no effort was put into varying the skill visuals? They didn't even try to make the elite skill look different or unique. Yes the well affect looks cool but that's pretty much all you see! Every thing you cast is gonna look like the same spell. This is just lazy!

Sure each has some cool stuff, but none of them seem thief like.
