Going to Benidorm for Christmas - 2nd visit. I'm 87.
Staying at an excellent hotel with good all-day food, quiet sheltered sun terraces for reading, a long flat promenade with adequate seating for a rest/people watching and hopefully SUN! What's not to like but obviously totally different in the summer.
That's awesome as it's a great place to visit and i'm sure it's just as good in the winter months as it is in the summer. Have a great Benidorm Christmas as i'm sure you will. Happy travels 😊
Benidorm has only one problem for me the amount Brits Drink and the noise they create as well apart from that very good. David

Its a lot less rowdy in the winter so much nicer on the strip of a night.
I did look at your site actually but we ended up booking another.
Definitely want to do the cross on the bikes this year. First thing in the morning though looked far too hot when you went up.

We went to Alicante October this year for 10 days - I was bitten by mosquitoes from day two…..l have never experienced anything like it , l was covered with bites, they blistered , seeped & very itchy….l felt so bad for my partner because l felt off, splitting headaches etc …..l did not want to go out as the bites looked horrendous 😢
I was lucky we booked a villa it was like home from home with a pool.
We came back 16th October 2023 -l am still healing & covered with scares …..24th nov 2023 …loving watching your video 🥰

Was there a couple of weeks ago , the view from the cross is wonderful, a few euros to the top in a taxi is around 5 , had a bad knee so couldn't walk up, great walk down, you can miss the brit square and venture towards the old town with Gin & Tonic alley, very busy but great for people watching watching, Betty Boo's is a must ❤

Hi, seen a couple of your videos now 👍 and I’m finding you quite addictive 😂. Sympathise with the bite they like me too 🥹. But I found something that works a treat, they gave it to army out in wherever and it works brilliantly. It’s Avon skin so soft (the original) give a good spray everywhere on your skin. It smells nice too. Since using it I haven’t even had one bite 🤗. Great video but, I think I’ll give that place a miss. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to see where you’re going now. Safe travels 👍

Off to Camping Raco for 3rd time Christmas / New Year its great at that time of year mild weather everywhere open sunshine and lots choice for eating out . Plus the drive to get there is a great experience a nice long trek from Bridlington via Rotterdam.

I go to benidorm once or twice a year and have done for 40 years, Yes there are a couple of streets in the middle that are full of rowdy bars but benidorm is a huge town and there are literally hundreds of bars and clubs to suit every taste. It is the number one tourist seaside resort in europe and the entertainment and prices are great. If you are miserable and boring then the old town has plenty for you.
Totally agree there is something for everyone and we will be back to Benidorm for sure. Thanks for your comment and happy travels 😊

Just found your channel and subscribed but found it interesting watching your video on France. We did France in April and got our 3 dogs passports, went back in September for a month but hated every minute of France. Disrespectful other motorhomes, French using the free Aires as storage, we even watched 2 put there tow cars in the spaces so no one else could use the space. Have to say we came home and have now sold our motorhome - going back to flying on holiday with Mexico booked for next year… love your video’s but have to say I’m glad we have sold our van now …. By the way we have scooters and bikes and always used the scooters in Europe - there brilliant

It's such a shame to hear your story that you have now sold your motorhome as not all places are like that and not all French, you get your bad apples as they say. However i can understand. We prefer Spain and looking to do portugal in the new year so hopefully we will have scooters or bikes by then. No matter how you travels, happy travels 😊
Got to admit it, I dont like France or their food or the people
We were advised to buy EAU de cologne which is in the babies section. Rub it over your limbs etc. Works really well and it is very cheap.

Surprised you didnt get to the bars and restaurants in the old town. Some fantastic food and the atmosphere is electric, but not the caged animal type of atmosphere. Love that expression. Great vlog, take care. Ben going to Benidorm since 1973 and boy have we seen some changes. Went horse riding around the area where the Hotels |Orange and Rio Park are now.

@@lifes4touring Enjoy your travels. We are back to Benidorm in June for 13 days and then September for 23 days. Hiring car each time to get out and explore further. We lived nearby for 10 years so have lots of friends from Germany, France Spain and Belgium. All the best.

Oh the brits abroad, holidays based around drinking, no wonder spain and the likes are fed up with us, bet some just spend a week in the brit bars and never see spain at all.
As we always say each to their own as we like to let our hair down sometimes however exploring countries is much more fun 😊 happy travels 😊
Theyre not fed up enough to stop all the cheap 2 for 1 drinks or happy hrs in the bars. They've built up an area of pubs and clubs attracting the hen and stag dos. I wouldn't go to Benidorm if you paid me now. Shame.

I iv lived in Spain for a while I used to suffer with bites ,the one thing that works is vinegar soon as you get bit apply ,and forget ,I carry sachets of vinegar in my bag ,

Tip for mozzie bites when travelling. Couple of weeks prior to departure, take garlic capsules so it get in the blood stream. I have travelled the World and encountered some real nasties. Had a couple of nips but nowt serious, Try it. Works for most people.

The area you walked past most days just below Benidorm palace is a less rowdy night out with good entertainment . The tropical, Sinatras premium and rock and roll house. You’ll be getting told off like we did! I said on our vlog the other day there were not as many idiots up that end ! Somebody took offence to my comment. @@lifes4touring totally agree. It’s taken me 15 years to decide what I like and don’t like in Benidorm because there are so many places to visit. Great effort walking to the cross. Done it a few times but like you say taxi up and walk down was the easiest 😂

You will always get the odd one or 2 wanting a fight or what we often come across , people trying to sell you drugs. Yes I was dosing off in a bar and some may have said look at that idiot 🙄🙈😂. As I said before on my post, maybe I should have referred to the area we were showing as less boisterous. I’ve been going to Benidorm 15 years or so some times 3 or 4 times a year so I think I may like it

as i am a british trucker i deliver british beer to benidorm every 2 weeks and at the end of the month i take 5 days off british street can be very ectic but im ok with it as i walk my dog round and nobody bothers me and he lets people know if they are rowdy i am als o a spanish resident and i have a vikka near alicante which is a nice city

We found that to be a bit insulting. Me & The Mrs spend 2 holidays a year in Benidorm. Once you suss what’s what and Weres were. But hey hoo each to their own. Wasn’t a bad vlogg I suppose 😂❤

I have a heart condition that affects my breathing so I am unable to walk any sort of distance withouth getting out of breath. I take my owm mobility scooter with me on my travels in my van & it means I can get places I normally wouldnt be able to go.
That’s great that you have a way of getting around and Benidorm is an ideal place to be able to do that 😊

God, half the people on them mobility scooters don’t need them. We left Benidorm 9/10/23 to get away from the mosquitoes we both got bit to death
The mosquitoes can be vicious in Spain however it was Calpe where we had the biggest problem. Happy travels 😊
Hello,What's the cream you got for the bites please?
Hi I was advised to use Piriton for the itching. Steroid cream for the swelling and blisters. Also if they got infected to use antibiotic cream. I used the lot 😂. I will now make sure I use a repellent too 😊

We went for lunch in a pub afterwards where the lady told us that she has seen people collapse at the bottom after walking up there in the heat and not being prepared. Thank you for watching 😊
We took our caravan to Spain when we lived in France, after a few days in Benidorm we decided it was not for us.
Totally understand as it's not for everybody, some people we meet return year after year and we will definitely return. There is good parts, sorry to hear your experience wasn’t that. Happy travels 😊

What was the price per night for came sites .
It worked out at £22.85 per night on the Benidorm campsite with electric. Hope this helps and happy travels 😊

You should have got a mobility scooter to help with your swollen ankles mozzies are a real pest, especially if they like your blood still a lovely adventure you and your partners best of luck on your travels Ps not sure about parked under trees as they love and hide out in tress and bushes 😳

Sort understand that when you went to a Spanish place to eat it was terrible but maybe would have been better ordering Spanish meal instead of burgers and the same would apply going to English places and ordering authentic Spanish food
Hi thank you for your feedback. It was our first experience of eating out in Benidorm so we looked for what we thought was the best looking place at the time. We should have left when we seen the menu really as it was very basic. There wasn’t much more to offer than burgers to be honest. We will know for next time. Happy Travels 😊

Jodie I got bitten by mossies' a few yrs back they ended up being nasty like yours some were that bad I had to have paper stitches, anyway a friend whose in the armed forces recommended dry oil spray from Avon apparently they use it whilst in Iraq etc. I tried it and I've never been bitten since xx

@@lifes4touring I’ve tried it but doesn’t work for me I’m afraid, I went to the Maldives a few years ago and at any one time I had over 60 bites, staff was quit worried, I looked like a giant blob with bumps, and it wasn’t to much food that coursed the swelling, yet my partner at the time never had one bite, I must have nice blood,

Why on earth would you take a motorhome to Benidorm... when you have so many other options available to you Benidorm tends to be for stag and hens and generally the lower classes of the British public.
We totally disagree with what your saying as there is loads of great stuff to do and see in Benidorm. There is a small area within Benidorm that tends to have the stag and hens. For us it's a great place to stop you just need to visit the parts that suit you.
Completely agree . The place is an embarrassing representation of the Brits.But each to their own I say.
Love Beni especially the Old Town and Runcorn area, great vlog ……always put Mossi spray on before going out x. Majority of brits on mobility scooters are to lazy to walk and then wonder why they are ceasing up and gaining weight feel sorry for all the genuinely disabled people who cannot get mobility scooters because lazy people have beaten them to the mobility scooter shop. ( that’s my winge for today😂) You need to know where to eat so do your research before hand, Watch Lucy’s vlogs and ask questions you have on Benidorm Community, Benidorm and Benidorm Enthusiasts and you won’t go far wrong. Last tip don’t use stand alone ATM’s as the are a rip off find a bank ATM🫶👍❤ Also indoor market is a good place to exchange £ for € don’t forget ID.
