- This Maker Gray tutorial shows how I made a wooden sleeve with a cupholder for my couch. This was a super easy project and a big upgrade, making it much more convenient to set down a drink while watching tv or reading. I especially love that it can be moved around to either side of the couch.

I was impressed with the coaster landing into the hole.
And done in a single take!
I love making these! Since they're something that gets touched a lot, I always find myself spending way too much time on the finishing process. Always a crowd pleaser!
3:06 That coaster toss tho... watched it like 10 times.
Those edges are sharp 90 degree corners...a little sanding to break the edge would probably be a good idea and pine sands super easy.
I am planning to make one of these and I am going to use a 1/4" router to get really rounded edges everwhere.
Love love love it! Great idea
Thanks so much!
You make it look soooo easy....! Nice job. Well done. Thank you.,
Thank you! Appreciate the comment and you watching!
Well done 👍
Thank you!
Awesome👍👍
Thanks!
Like the pocket hole screws idea. Looks way better & neater than exposed screws. Thanks!
I agree. Thanks for watching!
@@MakerGray I bought a pocket jig just for this! I chose this as my first ever woodworking project !!
@@krislozano0703 Perfect first project!
@@MakerGray I made two of them. They came out great!
Thinking about making this as a father’s day gift
It'd make a great Father's Day gift!
This is great. I was planning on making something like this aswell.
So glad you like it! We use this sleeve every single day & love it
Gotta show us how to make that picture ledge next!
beautymunson I’d be happy to! It’s very easy and looks 👌🏽. Thanks for letting me know!
I would also like to see a video on that 😃, great videos BTW.
@@MakerGray Please do!!! This video was so great. It looks like you may have finished the picture ledge in the same way.. maybe?
@@17Morningstar17 yeah pretty much did! Ok, I’ll add this video to my list :)
hey nards!
My arm rest is round and I'm not sure if it would be as secure if I took your concept and made it for my armrest
Thank you SO much for this tutorial. I’ve been searching to buy something to add cup holders to our couch but everything I find is so tacky looking. I made these instead and not only are they beautiful, they’re nice and sturdy too. I did mine a white wash on mine.
You are so welcome! I love hearing it and the white wash sounds like a great addition. Thanks for watching and enjoy!
👍👍
HHHAHAHAAH so cool never would have thought of this.
You Make the sofá? If you do can you Make a video about that?
Are you an architect? I am mesmerised by your collection of machinery. Can you do a video on how you got your machinery? I will love to hear you share how you did it Iam@ELTRASACCO
What diameter hole bit did you use?
Ive got a link in the description to the written article. I've linked the hole saw I used there for you. Thanks!
Nice but the cupholder needs to be a little deeper
We can not see your vidio dew to the subtitles.
