You can always have a little garden in the log yard. Growing things that don't require a lot of work: carrots; lettuce; cucumbers; potatoes; tomatoes [may require some work]. Some sunflowers would be nice.

As someone who has been attacked by a " roaming " dog, I would disagree, if the lumberyard was here in Australia they would also find themselves out of pocket as it is a criminal offence here to allow your dog out off a lesh, last I heard there was something like 8000 hospital visits for people who had been bitten by dogs, plus about one death a year, is that worth the price for a " nice dog " to be running around off lesh??
@@edappi8172 Sorry for your bad experience with a "roaming" dog. It is my take from watching the videos that Roxy is a friendly dog to people that are friendly.
@@scottsoper Yes I would agree that Roxy does appear to be friendly, my problem is if was my grandson he might give off that he was afraid of Roxy, or another dog that may then want to bite a weak person, that would be fatal for Roxy as I would not allow that to happen a second time, so the best outcome would be to keep Roxy on her property.

@@robbrewer3861 Yes we do, similar to your problem with snakes in Florida, " well meaning " folks ( I would call them the dumbest of people ) think it is OK to release them into a habitat where the indigenous animals have no defence for against, so the population is decimated. To be fair, it is also sometimes government - so I guess the dumbest of people holds true there. Cane toads were released into Queensland to control a cane eating beetle, they didn't eat them and then caused havoc in native animal populations which tried to eat them. As the native animals had no knowledge of the toad and that the toad was poisonous they continue to die in their thousands.

Instead of lining it, I lay in 1/2" utility cloth to let the worms in and keep those bleeping gophers OUT.
Interesting people are great to talk to. Hope you sell a lot of raised garden bed kits. Delivery of that heavy soil likely sells it for you.

Succulent plants are intriguing!
So many types and colors.
You can tell by the steam coming off the compost from the core.. That it is REAL aerobic compost...
Which means that it is 99% plus free of pathogenic bacteria, fungus and weed seeds! Great Job !

It takes practice. Once a year just does not cut it.
It also depends a lot on the trailer... a rather long trailer like this one is much easier to back up than a short stubby one.

Save all your wood chips and use them as mulch and to line pathways in the garden. The plants will love it and you won't have to get rid of as much excess. Good luck!

One thing I found with raised beds is they need to be a good size or they dry out too fast in the summer and yours look amazing, nice and big, I love succulents, ferns, sedums, wild grasses and all those kind of plants, they all look so good together too, I have some succulents which look exactly like the ones you were given, mine are cuttings taken from the ones in my parents garden where I grew up, I think half my garden is made up of cuttings from other peoples gardens, I'm always chopping bits off plants if I like the look of them! 🤣

Nice video. I learn a lot by watching your videos. Of course, I knew nothing at all about the milling process before I started watching. I only bought lumber to make sawdust in my workshop. One problem with this video though. I don't know if it is a big sister thing or what, but you lost Judah at the rest stop. 😄😄😄
