I'm personally french but I think this is very well explained ! Unfortunately the ticket booklet has disappeared due to ecological reasons... There is now a new Navigo pass which is online with 10 passes and the 6 line is also quite important because it takes you to the Eiffel Tower
👍
Not true.I bought a pack.of ten tickets yesterday.
@@renszatrapp9639 Yes but they will remove it soon. The individuals aren't available anymore.
Good to know. Thanx for the update, very useful
It's really annoying that you can't share the 10 tickets between people like before!
Nicely done. I would add one thing for people that are not familiar with urban transit systems. When you exit the train at an unfamiliar station, walk immediately across to the wall. It's OK to be momentarily undecided about which way to walk, but don't be undecided while you're blocking the people behind you who also need to exit the train. Tourists do that all the time, much to the consternation of the "locals". That's good advice for crowded sidewalks too. Lost? Unsure of where to go? Move to the side, next to the buildings. Then you can decide which way to go at your leisure.
Great tip
This is great for someone who easily gets overwhelmed in new places and wants to travel to Paris on their own. So well explained and I feel comfortable using the metro now :)
Always helps to have an unlocked phone and local sim card ( activate it online while still at the airport for the free wifi) and offline maps, that way you can see where different lines intersect, makes navigating the city by metro easier
For every single question I had about Paris, I found the answers on your channel!!! Amazing content, keep up the good work!!!
I am so glad i found you! I’ll be heading to Paris on first week of Feb 2023 - its my first visit to this beautiful city. I am watching ALL your videos and thanks to all your honest reviews and informational tips, I feel like I already know the city and the both of you. I will be downloading the guide as my way of saying THANK YOU to you. Definitely hands down the BEST Paris guide!
I love the metro. Maybe I’m just odd, but half the fun of visiting Paris for me is navigating the metro. I was with a student group once, and our native guide warned us the first day that we wouldn’t have time to do more than go to a local cafe before our first tour. I took that as a challenge. I grabbed two of my friends and told them we were going someplace better. I ran them through the metro and took them to one of my favorite boulangeries all the way across town, got some great food, and got them back in plenty of time. It’s a great public transport system.
I find it to be LEAGUES better than London.
Which boulangerie did you take them to? :)
You're not odd at all. For me the Metro was the best part of my two trips. Lol.
This is brillant.
It's often these , what others consider , 'smaller things' that cause the most hassle to newbie travellers.
Great videos ... short, concise and to the point !
Thank you.
I'm currently planning a trip for someone, and this was INCREDIBLY helpful. I love that I can just share this video with them, rather than having to write everything out in detail. Thank you!

Another amazing video. I will come on the 28th of September for a week in Paris and you have helped me a lot.
Your videos have really helped me feel more comfortable in deciding to make a solo visit to Paris hopefully next year. Thank you for all the work you do making these videos.
It would have made our day a little easier if we had seen this first! But, even going in cold, we figured it out. Even the split when going to the airport. Love your videos, thank you.
thank you. i watched a few of your videos and they are very informative 😊 im heading to paris right now ❤
This is super helpful. My friend and I are going to France this month and have been researching the train system. You video is so clear. I’m very grateful !
Thank you 😊 very useful!
Nice video !
There's also metro line 6 (or RER C) which is important to access the Eiffel Tower and gives a beautiful view of Paris from the outside. Also, RER C takes you to the _Chateau de Versailles_, which you MUST visit if you go to Paris ! Last, but not least, metro line 14 is very practical for its speed and high frequency ; it's automatic, with new wagons and it connects some important parts of Paris like Chatelet and Saint-Lazare quickly as the train stations are distanced like in the RER.
I crashed crammed my visit to Paris by watching two of your videos and they were very helpful. I really liked the way you laid out the information. When I would come across something in Paris I was so prepared because you taught me well. I like that you detailed the info for the newbies but also doesn’t have a bunch of words to get to the point.
I am planning a visit later this year and taking my time to do some research. So far, all your content has been super helpful and assuring. Be well and stay safe!
You guys rock!!! We are going to Paris in 2 weeks and I’m so nervous on the plan for while we are there. Going through all your videos now to familiarize myself with the dos and donts! Thank you!

My husband and I are going to Paris in May--we have been there a few times. we are learning so many new things to do and how to do by watching your videos---so helpful!!! This time we are going to try to take the RER into the city and then to out hotel--getting confident after watching you guys--can't wait to try some of the food places also--keep bringing us your very informative videos
Excellent! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I just returned back from a beautiful trip from Paris and wish I came across this before I left. I still managed quite nicely with the help of the wonderful and helpful Parians and got to where I needed. Keep up the great videos and please continue to share your experiences.
Great video with a lot of useful information! I always like to use public transport. Especially in Paris I traveled a lot by Metro, coach and tram (not so much RER). Thank you for your effort!
Your tips, comments and recommendations were so so helpful to us. I remembered things you said from this and other of your videos. I was so knowledgeable by the time I got to Paris, that I did not have to ask anyone for help, since we do not speak French. I also downloaded all the apps you recommended, which helped us do our homework before we went to visit the sites. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Very helpful. I would also like to add that if you get one of those Navigo passes, make sure to attach your photo and write your name on it. You can bring your own photo ( stamp size) or you can take the photos at the famous booths at each station but that will cost you €8. You will be fined €50 if you travel without your photos attached to the pass. And once you are done with it, you need to ask the 'Service' personnel to validate your pass and you are good to go.
Paris metro was one of the favourite things about the my trip. It's so convenient and amazing how you can find a station at every few kilometers. Also I loved watching people on metros- some reading, some drunk, some laughing, some making out, some sulking and some sleeping.
thanks for the guide
Thank you for a great video.
I really appreciate your attention to detail. When I hit the ground I'll be tired, at least I won't be confused. Thank you.
Great video!!
Thank you so much! I watched this video a couple times before we came to Paris( arrived yesterday). I felt like a pro lol! Took a lot of the uncertainty out of the process! Went to Versailles today and Disney Monday and are all ready for the RER too!
Parisian here: excellent tutorial. Thanks

Best video!!!
Bonjour!! Here I am in Philadelphia at age 71, remembering so much of
my first trip to Paris, a month, July 1969, staying at Cite Universitaire. Paper
map of Le Metro, trying to make it through le Pontillion before it closed
access to the train platform!! Your videos are a delight to me. Merci
beaucoup!!

Thank you for this message Lawrie
Thanks for your excellent videos! We just spent a week in Paris for the first time, and were so impressed with the metro. We purchased 20 tickets at a kiosk but they did not work - we were told they were demagnetized in my purse by my cellphone! A ticket agent had to remagnetize all of them! Lesson learned 😄
Really well done
