To an extent, yes it is. At prolonged idle with no ram air through the engine bay (forward motion creates flow and ram air) the open intakes are prone to heat soak because they are open. That all being said cars are usually being driven and when being driven the airflow will prevent heat soak. With our testing IAT's (Intake air temperatures) went down as compared to the stock intake while driving. Intakes will almost always get quite hot, but these cars cool the charge air with the intercooler at what is essentially the intake manifold which cools the air after the intake and right before entering the combustion chamber. This means temps at the intake itself could be very hot, but the intercooler should do a solid job of dropping those before entering the combustion chamber. This all shows the real issue is prolonged idle as even the intercooler right before the combustion chamber will act as a heat sync without the coolant flowing through it being cooled by the heat exchangers properly, which also requires airflow.
