Picard is likely one of the only beings in the entire universe of Star Trek to have drawn something on a warp core breach explosion cloud. Definitely something he can brag and joke about.

When I was barely a toddler, my Dad used to watch Next Generation, and I with him.
In my mind, I always had the impression that Picard was a no-nonsense type who NEVER smiled or laughed.
10 years later, my Dad tunes into this episode, and for the first time, I see Picard chuckling and making a smiley face. You can imagine how surprising (and maybe unsettling) this was, like watching Batman laugh.

Personally I think the scene near the end of Parallels was scarier where the Alternate Enterprise #1 managed to hail Alternate Enterprise #2 in which the Second one was from a universe where the Federation was gone and the Borg is everywhere in the universe they came from. Really scary considering that the prime universe (which the show usually follows) nearly met that same fate.
