She’s been on TV getting paid since she was a kid and she never had to audition for anything! She literally got in because of her family. Sales numbers are not the same as net profit which is the true value of a business after taxes are paid because costs are accounted for and this is the figure that is reflected on the balance sheet which indicates the financial health of a company. So she is not the youngest billionaire because she is not a billionaire and she is not self made so peeps we are 0 - 2 on those facts.

I was having this same exact conversation with my husband from the start of this drama, pretty much stating your exact point. I have been in finance for 8 years now, and it amazes me how dense people are when it comes to how our monetary system really works. And I talk with some pretty smart people all the time and most of them have no clue.
At the end of the day, her company made a little over $500mil last year and after expenses who knows what she’s actually profiting. I will give her 5-10 years of excellence money management to achieve becoming an actual cash billionaire. Which in her case is very reasonable. It’s something that most people will never be able to achieve. It’s only something we all can learn from, which is the true power of social media.

She’s never had to “work” a weekend job at the gas station or McDonald’s or whatever and save up for a dress to wear to an office job interview and go from there, which is the route most people take and that’s why the majority of people don’t become incredibly rich and successful until later in life (especially if you’re getting a higher education/going to grad school, that takes Time).
Self-made, to me, is a person who started from scratch, without a foundation of fame & money. Meaning someone who maybe started off as a waiter, with parents that have normal jobs.
