  • This tool is obsolete because it runs on old Nimh batteries. It was abandoned in Japan. Everything is fine except for the battery and the charger. I bought it to restore and want to know its quality. All that needs to be done is to clean the internal parts, put in new grease, and especially make a new battery with lithium that has the same power as the old one. The original battery contains 20 of Nimh batteries. The Nimh battery cell fully charged voltage is around 1.5V so with 20 cells in series connection, the total voltage is around 1.5V x 20 ~ 30V. The lithium battery 18650 cell fully charged is 4.2V, so to get voltage around 30V I need connect them in series 7 times. 4.2V x 7 ~ 29.4V. I choose bms 7S60A high load current from battery pack to the motor. After restoring and trying to use it, I am very satisfied with this result.
I hope you find this video useful and enjoy!
I am happy to receive feedback, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I'm sorry for the mistake if I did this video !!!

The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer czcams.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS was just the tool I needed. I Use it to remove stuck bolts. If held at the right angle you can cut slightly into the bolt. Then turn the air hammer to where it will hammer the stuck bolt to unspin the bolt. Given a little practice it works great. This air hammer gives you the control needed to get the job done right. Very powerful yet still does not seem to have as much vibration as other guns I have used. One of the best I have gotten my hands on.

I've always been fascinated by Makita tools! Judging by your vids, it looks like technical innovations reach Japanese domestic market somewhat earlier than the rest of the world) Many thanks for your educative reviews!!

Charging failure is usually due to under-voltage. Use a not-so-smart charger to pre-charge the 'dead' battery for 5-10min. It should be chargeable with the drill charger after that.

@gear_show connect that white wire (which you've cut at the beginning) through a resistance to the positive terminal with such a nominal, so the voltage shows exactly half of the battery voltage. And the original charger will recognise it 😉
