    I've found the Earthen Vessel & Grant combo to be very useful for discarding energy. Earthen vessel to toss Grant into the discard, then Grant from the discard tosses the 2 energies. Sets up for an early Sada because you can still use a Supporter or Squawkabilly's Motivate.

    I’ve been trying to get this deck to work, as I pulled an alt art of it in a prerelease, but I feel like its attacks are pretty hard to get going effectively. Have you considered adding a Chien-Pao ex as a tech for last ditch burst damage?

      Congrats on that pull! Walking Wake ex is good but I think it would be better if it is used as a one-of in a build with other Ancient pokémon.

    A new best friend for Brute Bonnet is coming out with the next set! Conkeldurr's 2nd attack, Gutsy Swing deals 250 damage and the attack states that if Conkeldurr is affected by a special condition, ignore all energy in the attack's cost! So, you can deal 250 for free with Brute Bonnet poisoning Conkeldurr! Then, you can do an additional 50 damage when you place 5 damage counters on your opponent's active Pokémon due to poison. Provided you have Perilous Jungle Out and Radiant Sneasler and your opponent's Pokémon is not a Darkness type. Charizard ex won't receive extra damage from the Stadium, but imagine dealing 300 for free on non Darkness Pokémon!

    Do you think walking wake could work with clodsire ex and calamitous snowy mountain & perilous jungle?

    • @PopsicleKnight
      @PopsicleKnight  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Clodsire is good too, but you lose 2 prizes if it gets KO'd, and there has to be a stadium in play to use it's ability. I think Brute Bonnet is better. And the Calamitous Mountain could work too, but only when your opponent attaches an energy.

      @@PopsicleKnight so after some playing…Atticus works better, and I also replaced sneasler for greninja. Still a brick fest but better I guess lol, and maybe being able to do a sneaky moonlight shuriken is possible, even though I always seem to be an energy short. More play testing required.

    nice video showcasing Wake, i think the number of supporters is too much, or instead of researcher try out Atticus who shuffles cards back to the deck and makes you draw 7 with the only requirement is your opponent being poison

    Poor Armarouge Ex player had no real chance even if at full health Azure seas just ignores the tool and ability meaning he just takes the full 480 damage even at full hp. even without the 2x weakness on fire it would die after from the poison. seems like a fun deck to play!

  • @canisarcani
    @canisarcani Před 3 měsíci +1

    I like the premise of this deck. However, it looks like it's a bit all over the place.. maybe lean a bit more into its poison gimmic? Youve got a lot of what i like to call "what if" cards: lots of the cards that youve got in the deck are too niche counters/ contingencies for very specific decks/ situations that you only have one or maybe two of, and are eating slots that you could be using for something else.
    Lost vacuum, mew, squakabilly, and lumineon are all great cards, sure, but i feel like they dont synergize very well with the rest of the deck. And if you need draw cards, why not use bibarel? 151 dodrio might synergize better here, i think. Neither of them are contingent upon specific circumstances, and while dodrio isnt as powerful of a draw card as bibarel, it does give you another option for a counter to electric decks that synergizes with the poison because its a one energy attacker that gets more powerful the more damage it takes. Speaking of counters, paldean evolved mimikyu would synergize well by shutting down vstar and ex.

      Thanks for your insight. Very detailed.
      I don't think this deck will pass for competitive right now anyways, but it has a cool concept nonetheless. I think Walking Wake can best be utilized as just a one-of in an Ancient deck as a type of technical card or something...
